This trilogy will b unreal. It’s not like mcgregor got completely destroyed tbf he did well in most aspects apart from checking the kicks
Conor did not do anything beside throwing the left hand he done
@@bilalqadar2386 and he connected with it several times
@@bilalqadar2386 wanna bet he’s finished
@@endamullins9090 That’s the thing, Conor’s power isn’t that great against people his own size, and we now have proof Dustin can take Conor’s shots but Conor can’t take Dustin’s.
Conor didn’t do anything?! LMAO. Rocked Dustin twice. Landed solid knees in the clinch and dominated in the clinch. The only way Dustin beats Conor is through conors ring rust. He won because Conor didn’t check kicks and Conor isn’t stupid. He knows it’s likely Dustin takes a wrestling approach next fight. Conor said KO via front kick in the third fight. Which obviously means he’s gonna maintain a distance with counter strikes. Conors wrestling defence will be too much for Dustin to execute against. Conor will win the next 100%
Mcgregor boxed so well, if only he checked those leg kicks he'd be fine, winning both rounds until getting ko'd
The thing about Conor is he’s just not a tough guy. The second a little adversity comes his way he crumbles.
Exactly,
Yep. No heart.
Dustin poirier is one of the most versatile fighters in the ufc and this confidence will play a big part in the third fight.
Mcgregor's corner should have pointed out those leg kicks in the first round! I hope I'm wrong but I think we've seen the last of Mcgregor at the top level!
Conor in his prime used to fight with this slow pace that completely controlled the pace of the other fighter. Even fast foghters slowed down to try and figure him out. Now he seems to try to speed up his game and its never been quite the same.
Dustin got hands...one of the very best well rounded fighters in the UFC without doubt
Dustin has really good boxing and some decent juijitsu but that’s it
Actually was really close, their styles make for a great fight. Although I think karate stance Conor is the best version, we’ll see what he brings next time!
Paul Felders screaming when Dustin starts lighting conor up is my favorite thing about this :D
Dustin please win the next one and use that bonus for the charity 🙏
i dont remember a fight where i got so hyped up when this happened
One of the most satisfying retributions I've ever seen.
Such a satisfying fight. Who would have though we’d be talking about a part 4?!?
We’re not and never have
@@jayzui_9564 thank God🙏🏽
STOP SLEEPING ON DIAMOND POURIER!!!!!!!!! BEAST!!
Conor will defo be sleeping alright
Arguably the Most versatile fighter in the ufc
Conor got the wake up punch he needed, next fight is goin to be amazing
Said that when Khabib destroyed him too
lol
He squeezed him.. Dustin much more entertaining.
Rewatched this a few times, Conor’s radar was way off. He swung wildly so many times and if he was tuned much better he would have caught Dustin cleanly.
Too much time out of the octagon.
FairPlay to Dustin.
shut your mouth mate
@@rayhanebournas9481 Make me.
Shut yer fookin moout
Conor defo gotta throw a lotta kicks and be a mixed martial artist in the next fight
He came into that fight with an Boxing mentality lol. He lost because he wasn’t ready to fight an MMA fight. And that porior is just better than him 😂. Connor hurt him but wasn’t enough. Porior is just better at 155 than Connor lol
@@EchosBeat yeah well even with a boxing strategy its not like he outboxed Dustin. Dustin is a solid boxer himself and he needs to realise that. I think Conor will have more success if he’s throwing kicks, like he did against Denis Siver and Chad Mendes.
Conor still had some big moments, surprised he didn’t walk dustin down when he hurt him
Didn’t move out of range was so weird
Yh he hurt porier at times but didnt follow up and trh finish him. He lacked the killer instinct in there
@@mmdo8789 deffo thought dustin was gonna be a walk over thats why, just thought he could go in with a boxing stance n backfired massively
At the second half of Round 1, Poirier coaxed McGregor to get into the pocket, but butchered his leg everytime he came in. Used the jab half heartedly to get McGregor to come in then *BAP!* whacked his calf. I think if McGregor has is karate stance and managed his distance like he used to he would have pieced Dustin up. I think Dustin is a good boxer but McGregor is better, Poirier mixed everything up properly and that's why he had so much success with the boxing.
@@Aiidannnn yh he took porier lightly coz he knocked him out in 90 seconds the first time. And also I feel like conor didnt have a clear idea of how he was gonna win, coz pre fight he said "he was gonna finish dustin in 60 seconds" then he said he would love a war, and said he'd want to finish dustin in the later rounds and he just confused himself and didnt have a proper gameplan.
I support anyone who beats the hell outta McGregor
Just cry it’s a lot easier
The boxing crossover messed up McGregor's style big time. Before that he was a beast. His stance, movement and strike variety were elite. Whereas in fights like this he's rigid, flat footed and always searching for that one punch.
Conor’s mind games played a huge role in his victory’s and knockout with out that I don’t see him as competitive in the division anymore
He needs to go back to being light on the feet with the karate style, dipping in and out of range picking them shots is what got him to where he is.
Yea he was fighting too much like a boxer
@Siraj Riaz ik
Can't wait for the 3rd part of this trilogy!
why? Conor has fell off he's been done for a while now.
@@swish775 i dont buy that. i think if he hadn't snapped his leg the 3rd would have been such a great fight. we can see that the building blocks of a striking war are there
I've watched this fight 10 times never gets old watching a bully boy beat down
Except Conor wasn't the bully in this fight they both respected each other🤷♂️
@@seanbrowne5770 no. Conor IS a bully period.
@@NoreeII It's the fight business most of the time u have to be a bully to get what u want
@@NoreeII Conor is not a bully, its just a show, its just an acting
@@arnisj2379 Yeah he was doing some real good acting when he punched that old man in the pub, and when he threw that dolly at a bus full of fighters and injured two of them, and when he allegedly sexually assaulted those women, and when he punched that DJ for no reason, and when he swung at machine gun kelly (although I can't say i'm mad about that one) and when he posted that disgusting tweet about Khabibs recently deceased father, need I go on?
the way he finished him so quick while mcgregor was wining the fight before that. like a split flash and its all over
People look into this too much. Conor was absent for a long while. Conor was the better striker by a mile. A few crucial leg kicks is what won Dustin the fight. I’m sure Conor will be prepared for the trilogy.
Could’ve said abit more
Connor is the better striker based off what? One round? Either way Dustin still knocked him out so it doesnt matter
@@clearlyalunhead1109 based off his career and yes the first and second round. Conor got hurt by a few leg kicks and his ring rust also didnt help. My comments arent meant to discredit Porier in any way either.
Full length humbling superb!
Hi
Everytime I watch this fight the more happy I feel that McGregor got battered. Love seeing McGregor getting his arse whooped whilst bleeding lol
Liam?
@@Azoria4 Talk sense man ffs
@@chrissilvester5663 Liam Gallagher?
@@Azoria4 What about him???
Am I watching a different fight, most of Dustins 1st round Strikes (other than legs) weren't connecting fully, even the strike when he pointed at him afterwards Conor seems to be shoulder rolling before hand moving away from contact. Literally the legs kicks were timed to perfection and literally set up the contest for the TKO.
Never get tired of this finish
Mcgregor actually did fairly well in this fight, he just can't rely on that chin anymore after all the wars he's been in. Plus the whole leg kick thing too.
No chin and no hairline 😂
@@jdc4316 He's always looked like a ferrety old man, even when he was in his mid-twenties. The footage of him at the end of the fight, sprawled on the canvas, not knowing what happened...he looked ancient. Maybe he's like a Karl Pilkington chinese person: ages like a pear.
Its not the chin, its the calf kicks taht took away his movement, until they came it was all conor fight
@The viva warrior Lol 😁
How could Connor have so many fans in the crowd? I feel like most people who knew anything where supporting Poirier.
Irish fans aren’t quiet
People still love conor.
Conor will always be the biggest name and money fight in ufc
May the better man win the rematch
Poirier is such a fantastic fighter.
Never get tired of watching McGregor getting beaten stupid.
Luckily enough it's a short journey for Connor ;-)
Mcgregor was the better fighter ahaha
@@gamiingxlewis6290 Why did he lose twice, then?
Why tf did Conor just take the punches it’s like he forgot how to cover up 😂
He trained boxing most of he time before this fight because he was supposed to be boxing mannie Pakiau. So his automatic response was a boxing one, but the difference is 4ounce MMA gloves do much more damage than boxing gloves. McGregor should’ve gone for a take down or clinched up its like he forgot he could grapple 😂
@@rhysnichols8608 true but grappling with Dustin is very risky
