Who Else Is Here After Ufc 300...??😂😂
Probably my favorite fighters rn these guys are all heart
Yup me
Me😂
Dude 😮😮
me
They should've included Dustin & Max pointing at the center of the octagon right before rd 5 started. This was such a classic. Neither of these guys have been in a boring fight.
yeah. it's a shame they upload these videos as rounds-only
Agree with both of you fellas.
yhea its iconic shocked they didnt add that
Volk vs max 2
Max vs Franky Edgar was boring. Not a single one of the volk fights were very exciting either. Otherwise yeah.
Coming here to check if Poirier accepted Max's 10 sec invite. OF COURSE he did lol
Can’t out dog Dustin
@@salinasfinest8245Absolutely. Dustin’s the GOAT in my opinion, and I’ve watched a ton of fights. Timing of his wins… Khabib bear wrestling… a miracle kick by Gaethje… all these little I’ll-timed setbacks keeping Dustin from being recognized for what he is. One of the top 5 greatest to ever step in the cage.
I loved how friendly they were with each other in between rounds, so wholesome and respectful.
Tu peleas contra otra persona y os pegáis como si os debierais dinero para dar un buen espectáculo, pero no suele haber nada personal , son compañeros de profesión y hay un respeto
@@ramonelmallorquin3581 Exactly, you fight at your hardest as the sport suggests, but don't make it personal. You're both in the ring for a good paycheck and an opportunity to show the world how strong and smart you are, and acknowledging that your opponent is there for the same reason and there's no hard feeling is very respectful to me.
I love the do or die, never quit attitude that guys like holloway, poirier and gaethje bring to the octagon
Agreed mate 👍
Gaethje,Holloway, poirier, chandler, and Alvarez in my opinion all meet this criteria
And Conor…..hahahaha jk
With Rogan it's always, 'Ohhhhh', 'he's hurt' or 'he's in big trouble'.
18:56 man max chin is something else.. ik that hurt.
This PPV was insane. This fight was straught after the Gastelum vs Adesanya fight. We had 2 back to back fight of the year contenders
I recall this was the only time the UFC gave a double fight of the night bonus
It’s a shame the ppv didn’t sell well. I think it was the first ppv on the espn deal so that’s probably why. But man the co main and main event DELIVERED. Two straight dawg fights
@@ahmeddjeghri6879 The only other time I can remember was ufc 218 were Alverez vs Gaethje and Yancey Medeiros vs Alex Olivera both got FOTN bonuses but you're right it's a rare thing to see.
@@ahmeddjeghri6879 UFC 93, 119, 162, 218 and 236 all had 2 FOTN bonuses
What’s also crazy is this ppv is one of the lowest selling I believe only 100k were sold
There is no questioning the heart and durability of Max. Guy is a warrior for sure.
Right, how the hell did he survive that onslaught at that start? He ate like 10 finishers and just shrugged it off 😤
He's been in so many wars and is so hard to even drop, let alone finish.
Both
@@jrowlandjUp until Gaethje dropped Max, Max absorbed over 1100 strikes over a span of 12 years and never got dropped.
How can anyone not like Dustin. Such a great fighter and stand-up guy.
Because he constantly crys when he loses or wins.. look back at all of his losses for the belt, tears everytime. No one wants to see a warrior cry... it wasnt his night, thats it. no need for the dramatics
@@juanticimo I like to see a warrior cry. It makes them human.
@@juanticimobro he's human imagine training as hard as you can for months for this special moment to accomplish your dream and then falling short I might cry too nothing to shame about
@@juanticimo you have a terrible opinion buddy. These men are gladiators and are still human, emotion is a great thing. Dustin does so much charitable things outside of the octagon. How dare you.
Fake nice guy
Man I hope Gaethje doesn‘t kill Max Holloway
DESERVED EDIT: Hooooooooooly Max… what have you done?????
Edit edit: that mf really risked his 24:50 min domination for 10 seconds entertainment. True BMF
Looks like Max is putting muscle on this time, so he has a better chance
If he dies … he dies
Justin is still reckless & chinny 👋🏼
This was short notice and he put on bad weight. Justin might still win, but I think max looks better this go around.
Max isn't Tony.
Whoever created the small sound clip before these videos start - keep it up, you should write for a horror movie
I swear it's so great
What
Yeah I liked it
Appreciate it bro, cheers.
I always think the same thing. Its trance like.
At the 3:00 mark. Even tho he ate a few shots - the fact that max was still with it, slipping and countering against the cage. Just crazy man. What a fighter
that’s why he’s the goat
And then 5 years later, to the day... Max's performance at UFC 300 vs Gaethje. What an insane difference!
yeah the Max that fought Dustin was a fat 155 but the Max today that fought Justin is a proper 155 and I would love to see a rematch.
@@KingdomWithin7It would be great but Dustin is 2-0 against Max so would have to be a title fight really
Nah tbh styles just makes fights the reason max struggles with porier is because porier is like a bigger max just stronger and a little slower but the fighting style is super similar with the heavy pressing boxing
@@Hesoshouvery different style and it’s very evident that max has massively improved since this fight
@@jamesfranko1568 no yes it’s true that max 100% improved but what I said is still true Dustin is a heavy boxer who when he’s landing / throwing there in long combos same as max that’s why max had a little more trouble because there boxing pace was the same for the respective divisions max fw so he’s a bit faster just a bit weaker and porier was still very fast maybe a lil slower but big power difference now tho I think max’s power this time around is definitely better then this fight
You're supposed to promote him, not show him get beat up 😂
Right
What are they gonna do? Show us him beating up featherweights when he’s fighting at lightweight? Dustin also just got an insane win this loss is not a bad one at all this isn’t boxing
Shows Dustin couldn't finish him at least
Battle of ustins 3 confirmed for 300
This is just to promote Dustin vs Justin 3
Poirier cardio is insane! He used a LOT of energy in first round but still active till the end!
Cardio is soooo underrated man
i dont think its underrated at all, to be an elite champ, you have to have that 5 round cardio
Wdym underrated? So many fighters weaponize their cardio and get so far. Merab, colby, tony, diaz. They're not very technical but they get so far from having cardio
@@ahmadjauhar4562diaz has always been a stretch, he hardly ever wins the last rounds
Cardio second, strong chin first.
That epo always kicks

I'm here to see if he can handle fast and skilled striker like Topuria
Haha
Haha
Q se venga la revancha.. hollowey esta más completo ahora.. pero Dustin es palabra mayor.. no hay que confiarse nunca
Fish for those likes boy

He eat bombs from Costa and Cannonier like nothing 😯
Max chin is insane for sure but get wobbled few times and even knockdown'ed against Poirier in the second fight.

Im so glad that they reuploaded this fight. It was far more competitive than what people remembered or parroted
In my experience people have said this fight was a war but not close, which I have to agree with. Only round you could give Max was the third.
Max got knocked around in this fight
Max could have won that 2-2 goin the 5th ! Fk y’all talking about ! So if someone is out powerd they automatically lose ! I gave max 3rd and 4th and was in it all the way in the 5th ! Dustin won but not by much
@@ALLDaY-ViKeS People will argue that since Poirier won 3 rds it wasn't close.. They seem to think the word close implies it could have went either way. Also yeah even people in the comments on here are talking like it was some kind of ass whooping. It was a super competitive fight. If somebody says Max got his ass beat well... Poirier did too, he got hurt multiple times.
@@ALLDaY-ViKeS Yeah I hope you and the genius underneath never become judges. Max won the 3rd and that's it. And yes, if you get out powered for damn near every single round, you lose the fight. Dustin wasn't hurt a single time in this fight, he was overwhelmed with the volume in some parts but not once did Max land a shot that rocked him. Meanwhile Max was getting rocked, cut open, saved by the cage, I mean just because you're a fan of the guy doesn't mean you can't admit he got destroyed.
The fistbump after round two was awesome. At this level of dedication, two fighters understand each other so well. They communicated their training with each second, and at the end of the battle it was respect that prevailed
One of my favorite fights in ufc history.. and I've been watching since no 1. Incredible battle.
Let’s take a moment and appreciate this pure perfection of mixed martial arts skills displayed by those two warriors
Pure perfection? Lmao
@@cacanaynayyes, pure perfection. Excellent wrestling by poirer and great takedown defense by max. Legitimately some of the best striking I’ve seen in a hot minute. Lack of kicks though but some good head kicks and low kicks by Dustin with some knees and elbows cutting up max to decisively win the fight.
I don’t know what’s funny about that statement man it’s all true.
@hulkwithagun9749 it was a great fight. None of this should ever be described as "perfection" in terms of skillset. When I think of perfect grappling I think Khabib. When I think perfect striking I think Sean O'Malley or Adesanya. None of these fighters looked like any of those guys. It was a good fight
@@cacanaynay well you right.
When it comes to a ufc fight, seeing a fighter actually use every single element of mma to literally perfection is…. Technically impossible?
I was overextending “perfection” but I still stand by the fact that Dustin Poirer in this fight showcased a mma masterclass that night.
@@cacanaynay also, Dustin wasn’t perfect all night with is accuracy but he has the some of the best striking in ufc.
This fight was a war for 5 rounds straight and is slept on so badly. One of the best interim or really any title fights ever.
Nah it was a clear one sided fight but max wasn’t a punching bag. Clear 49-47. Im hoping max shows us something new at 155 he’s still only like 32. But I really think Justin will change his chin

Why did they edited out the most insane part from the fight where Porier points to the center of the octagon in between the rounds and Holloway like a badass steps up for that insane showdown.
Definitely a highlight!
they always do but thats why these UFC editors needs a sentinent guy to work on these and add on moments like that
A fight I have been waiting forever for you to post!
Porier is on another level. Especially now. Gaethje caught him but Dustin’s a dawg man.
Yeah. Let's be real Dustin is the better fighter and wins 7 or 8 out of 10 against Justin and I love Justin as well

@listenup7284 whatt?
Idk why people like to act like this fight wasn't competitive. Poirier clearly had the power difference but Max can most definitely hang with the LW's
You could legitimately argue Max won the last 3 rounds. The Gaethje fight should be a fun one.
@@jjreynolds0923yeah I always score the fight for max when I rewatch. Honestly comes down to how much weight you give to the knee in RD 4. It didn’t hurt Max that bad but the cut is so brutal it may have given Dustin the RD.
@treyjohnson9407 a lot of times the knees the cut are the ones that barely touch you. I personally don't think that wins Dustin the round but I think of that cut didn't happen in the 4th Max woulda been able to push harder in the 5th to possibly steal the fight either way legendary fight Dustin dominated the 1st round and the last minute of the 2nd. But 3 and 4 are max imo and the 5th was razor close imo
@@jjreynolds0923you can also argue poirier won all 5 rounds. Max endurance and volume can give gaethje real problems but I think max gets koed.
@thialhoinj1971 100% the fight was close throughout. I do think the volume in 3 and 4 got it for max though but super competitive.
Damn this was 5 years ago next month, poirier and Holloway habe 2 of the best resumes in the sport and jabe given us so many banger fights

he got dropped 10 seconds before that ?? 😭😭
People who are saying max justin won’t be competitive are very mistaken.
I think the fight will be decided by how effective Gaethje can be with leg kicks. If he can hurt Max's legs and slow his movement, Max is in trouble. If not, I think Max will be more and more effective as the fight goes on. I think it's going to be a great fight!
Max has never fought anybody that hits like Gaethje.
@@publiusventidiusbassus1232to be fair Justin has never fought someone with the output like max.
Indeed🤝
@@publiusventidiusbassus1232The power diference between Poirier and Gaethje isn't that big. And Poirier is way more polite with hands.
Hands down one of the best fights for a show of skill technique heart good sportsmanship and its a even match just everything you expect and want in a fight
Wow.That's one of the best fights I have even seen.
The power difference was insane
1:54 tell me is that a power or a skill issue? You're right, for the most part dustin poirier simply had more weight and just pummeled max.. but the technique difference was definitely there and max got better after this fight and his and his first L to Alex.
I still got justin gaethje knocking max out but it's not because of the size as they're both actually the same size. But rather because justin gaethje will keep going forever with his jabs, lead hook, overhand right and uppercut setups, leg kick, shift stance (which he does better than poirier imo), knees, elbows, justin has it all. Not to mention you could hit that guy with a brick and he'll keep going. I feel bad max keeps getting matched up with beasts at 155, rather would see him fight Charles Oliveira.
@@matthewreid1175people see the power difference and assume that’s all dustin did, out power him, but it was the technique as well. That’s what people don’t seem to understand
@@matthewreid1175 yeah no bro I know it looks like I’m saying that’s why he won, I’m not. I believe Dustin is a better boxer.

I don't think Max should be counted out as much as he is being against Gaethje. He's putting on the correct weight and size and he has the technical skills to keep up with Justin.....I think it'll be a competitive fight.
Gaethje hits a lot harder than Dustin though mate. If Gaethje loads up one of his bombs... I don't know if max will be taking it after this fight as Max got hurt bad, multiple times this fight. It might be a similar thing to the Gaethje vs Ferguson fight 😢

The 💎! What a legendary performance
Great matchup. What a superb fight.
This is one of the best fights I've ever seen.
This fight is much closer than given credit for. Holloway grew into the fight and got used to the timing of Dustin’s punches where they weren’t quite as devastating after the first 2 rounds. But Poiriers counters were so so sharp and he had the bigger moments even though I’d argue Max actually dictated the pace for large stretches of the fight and managed to stun Dustin a few times as well.
100% agreed. For me Dustin stole the second round in the last 2 minutes because he was not winning that, he stole the fourth by opening Max's face with a knee and the fifth I'm not even sure why they gave it to Dustin. All in all a a very even fight with the power clearly on Dustin's side. I feel Dustin finished well in all the rounds and that made the difference really.
@@theotadros2040 At the end of the day fighting is scored on damage which I think is why Dustin was able to swing rounds. Not that Max didn’t hurt him but Dustin landed the biggest shots
This is why we get "robberies", it was not very close, it was very competitive, Max's chin and cardio are other-worldly, but Dustin beat the shit out of Max. The power difference was not close, one of Dustin's punches was the equivalent to ten or twenty of Max's, evidenced by Max's reaction and the horrific damage to his face. There is a major problem with people's perception of fights and this fight is a perfect example, when a fighter has an extremely dominant round judges and spectators will often absolutely gift the next or future rounds to their opponent simply because it wasn't as dominant. Rigging is commonplace, this way of thinking/scoring makes it that much easier. Make no mistake, one round scored incorrectly is RIGGING, if this fight was "close' then it was rigged.
100%. That darce that Holloway got on Poirier at the end of round 4 was in deep, and poirier was tired AF. If Max had 5 more seconds he woulda been double champ.
@@Corswain Granted, he still got beat up badly and the scoring should not have been in doubt.
Absolutely War🔥🔥🔥
Talent on both sides. Great fight. The graphics remind me of UFC's time when they tried to make everything look like a video game. It's so much more professional now.
14:27 Level change it is.
This was best card Poirier vs Max and gastelum vs Izzy what a war they fought on this card 🎉
Agreed, the main and co-main were both outstanding, I've watched both multiple times over the years. Brilliant scraps, the both of them.
Max Chin is unreal...
I absolutely love watching Dustin sit right in the pocket and paw at people like a big cat. nobody firefights like him
I saw this one live. And the craziest thing is that as awesome as a fight this was, it was the 2nd best fight that night: Adesanya vs. Gastelum was the Co-main event and was absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I hope to one day be even 5% as good at fighting as these two are. Fucking legends and masters at their craft
This fight was a lot closer than people thought. You could maybe even argue that Holloway took the last three rounds depending on how you scored the third. I had it for Poirier by one round, though
If it wasn’t for how devastating Dustin’s counters were, I think Max would have won. 2 and 4 he was winning before some big shots near the end of 2 and the knee from round 4 swayed the judges
rofl you max fanboys are unbearable. He got outclassed everywhere, this wasnt even close.
Wtf?
Damage and significance were all on the side of Poirier. The judges got it right. It's the "count vs damage" argument in the early days, where guys would try to edge out rounds with TDs or jabs and leg kicks. Nowadays, it's clear that damage should be more significant.
Great fight by both guys this was very entertaining
Most underrated Fight in UFC man !

Still a closer fight than many seem to remember
I don’t understand it bro. People act like max wasn’t in this fight
I don’t understand it bro. Max was in this fight
I'm tired of people discrediting Max for this fight. Max was having a fairly quick turnaround after throwing and landing like a million strikes on Ortega, didn't really have time to bulk up to 155, and still made this fight very competitive. Yeah he lost round 1 and 2, where he still clipped Poirier, but he won 3 and 4 and nearly broke Poirier in those rounds and came close to winning 5 as well. I think Gaethje's gonna beat Max but it will not be easy for him. Max is not Tony.
Picture perfect sportsmanship from these two. Max respect.
Ok but did the comments only watched the first two rounds ? Poirier had to grapple in the end to keep up. If you don’t think Holloway has got a chance against Justin you’re really underestimating him. Especially considering he didn’t do a proper transition to 155 at that point and he’s improved a lot since then
That 2019 ufc cage felt right. P3 and bdubs logo was a fun time lol

UFC 236 is what made me a fan, Izzy vs Gastelum and Poirier vs Holloway
i like how they talked aboutdustin the entire fight without bringing up holloways strikes once xD
Not only is Poirier a legend and HallOfFamer, but a BMF without a belt also.
holloway did good he just lacked power if they were same weight poirier could have been in trouble in most of those exchanges plus the confidence you get when you know your opponent cannot knock you out is massive advantage
BOTH THESE GUYS ARE EPIC !!
9:20 Many people thought Max was close to getting dropped for the first time in his career here. But actually 🤓 if you pay close attention you can see that Max just misjudged how close the octagon wall was to his back. He thought he was gonna rebound off the cage but started squatting down. His chin is truly legendary (while it lasts)
Dustin beat Max twice but ppl sweep it under the rug lol
