    When i was shopping around for new vnls a couple years ago i found the volvo with the ISX were quite a bit less.
    I had an n14 in a worn out 01 and made a mistake of buying a 15 d13 Ishift 500k that wasn't taken care of alot of idle time. No emissions maintenance had been been done.
    Everything including injection cups, radiator, starter,waterpump compressor egr valve cooler all sensors dpf cleaned in last two years almost broke me. A year ago I started a regimen of fuel born catalyst. I figure this is what saved me from going broke.Max mage from Pittsburgh power is a life saver.

    Hey guys, much luv to Truck Yoo! Can't wait to see you drop that Merch. Listen, you guys are great to look at, but maybe adding some B-roll of the Cummins parts that you're talking about would help us novice learners. That way when you mention the turbo or the head or the piston ring, we have a clear picture of what that looks like. I found myself pausing the episode to search for the part on Google, provided I got the name right. I hope to see many more videos from you guys. Especially for fixing those areas on the Cummins engine. Thank you bro!

    ISX is a soot magnet, the intake and head get plugged with it, need to, remove and clean the entire cold side every couple years, and change that oil every 15k miles and use 10w30 semi synthetic oil.

    Not an ISX fan. Don't the older engines have cam shaft issues? I've been told the ISX is an engine that you do not want to do extended oil change with. I also know a few guys that have had the ECM get fried from bad ground. Not good if the truck has been deleted.

    I think as if I was to have an issue with my d13 and or transmission i will look for used low milage drop in instead of rebuilding. The cost of rebuilding is too great and quality tech are hard to find as well as shops that employ them.

I have isx15 in 2017 Volvo 670 340k miles, I replaced the VGT on 290k I have full extended warranty but the VGT was not covered I payed $2400 Cummins did it. So far so good for now, I have tripack on my truck so my idle time is literally the lowest it can be, worth to invest $6k on apu. Long story short, I would like to see a video about Cummins x15 preformans and productivity series and thoughts about 450hp, 565ho or 605hp?

      Cummins Power bro! Knock on the wood, 365k and no issues. I'm just waiting for my warranty to expire and I ll update my fuel pump with new elements, it's still have those ceramic parts that is like $400-$500. From the beginning Oil change and filters every 50k miles, Oil-rotella 5-40, and Fleetguard filters, periodically I clean exhaust sensors, truck still have factory brakes on 70%. My advice is idling is engine killer for any engine brand, plus invest in oil get some full synthetic that starts with 5w...

    I’m thinking about doing an engine swap on my 2007 780 with ved12d motor. I’m trying to decide between the ISX cm870 or the Detroit Series 60 14L 2007 emissions my question is which engine would u guy’s recommend and why? The reason I wanna do the swap is because the Volvo lacks power and the parts and services are very high compared to these other engines also it’s hard to get work done on the Volvo engines do to specialize tools being needed or just lack of experience at some unauthorized shops. I’m looking for better power and torque delivery as well as fuel economy and most of all reliability and lower parts and service cost or practicality...

    so mack trucks and volvo have egr, dpf, and scr...where as cummins isx has egr and dpf....so why would somebody want to use scr with egr and dpf...would that not make the engines less dependable and more expensive? Do d13 have less soot in the engine compared to isx? how much of a percentage does the egr work less because your using scr? in your oppinion which engine is better d13 or isx?

    It creates all that soot due to being a cooler burning engine the colder the diesel engine the less efficient and the more soot it creates

    • @cataclyst89
      @cataclyst89 Před 3 lety

      Interesting.
      I like your reasoning. Cooler engine makes more soot. But then you use less EGR. (Unlike MAXXFORCE)
      The problem is Knox produced. Higher cylinder pressure creates more Knox.
