I've taught kindergarten and first grade for 16 years. This year I was placed back in kdg....5/6 year olds. It's amazing watching their development academically, socially, and emotionally. Yes....peer influence definitely is major and it's always interesting to watch the dynamics as well as the changes friendships go through at that age! Anaya knows what she does and doesn't want and is expressive of it....that's what I adore about her! 💛🙏🏾
I used to work at a daycare. I love 5/6 year olds. Their logic and the things they say/come up with is something else!🤣

I remember when my little girl was learning to skate and she screamed at me mom why do you want to kill me ??? Haaaaaaaaa kinda of like your sweetheart. Something like a pylon like a cone might help she will have something to hold on to. I did that for my girl. Also when my daughter fell and her head hit the ice she said mama my head didn’t fall off. So she will learn and be all over that house soon. So cute

I know you mentioned that she is more influenced by her friends than you expected, but one of the beautiful things I saw in this video was her ability and confidence in saying no, and sticking to it. Her friends seemed to have no concerns over the mud mask, but she wasn't having it. Especially for girls, its really easy to lose your voice, so I pray that Anaya keeps that beautiful voice she has throughout her whole life, because it will tremendously help her live her best life.

Last year, uncle baby's display was epic. Trying to erase Anaya's height mark & taking off with her gift with "the speed of 1,000 suns", raising it like an Olympic torch 😁. I was warming up for another Uzi show & little man became prophetic with "mud on your face" couple of weeks ago.

one thing that breaks my heart is that my Mom wasnt big on pictures or videos growing up and when my Mom passed my younger sister burnt all of my baby pictures so the only memories in pictures that i have of my childhood are ones my dad took when I was with him after they separated. you two have no idea how grateful these kids will be for you recording this much of themselves that you both have! dont ever let haters question you putting youre kids out there by taking all this videos and pictures its an absolute blessing when you can give this gift to them as they get older. you two truly have the best outlook and are always appreciating youre kids and that is so refreshing. thank you for sharing it with all of us im sure it inspires others to appreciate there kids more as well. Love this! And rollerblades are such a great gift! I bought pairs for my nephews and I myself started on blades in the 3rd grade. A tip I can add is 1) definitely have her start in the grass and 2) have her just get used to walking on them first. Once she's starting to get comfortable walking on them in the grass, then bit by bit have her try out on concrete. Then go back and forth between concrete and grass for a while, very soon, she'll feel comfortable enough to start standing/moving on concrete. Next thing you know, she'll try to roll/skate/glide on the concrete, and she'll realize she has it and can rollerblade. Happy Birthday, Anaya!

As a father to 5 girls and 4/5 who has grown past the age of 5, I noticed the influence in them real quick. Each one of my daughters had a different vibe from how they dress to how they talk and act 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. As a father you have to be able to know how to approach there change, support and guide them through it. It's a journey and one that will help to shape her future. Blessings to you family 👊🏾
