My Aunt, who lived in the suburbs with my cousins, came into the city to visit us. Once she found out I didn’t know how to ride a bike, she forced me to learn. She held on to the back of the bike as I peddled. Over and over, up and down the sidewalk. All of a sudden I realized my Aunt couldn’t run as fast as I was going. Sure enough, she’d let go long ago and off I went on that bike. I learned to ride in one day. That was a good memory to recollect.
Waw 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 you and your aunt deserve a🏆🏆🏆
Respect ❤️
Yup. That's the way it's done. No better feeling in the world than when you're finally riding on your own!
Such a beautiful memory!
bro that’s a core memory
Uriah being able to clearly articulate at 7 that he doesn't believe in himself says a lot about the good parenting you both do. It's awesome to see you immediately acknowledge and reaffirm him. Though he said it was the worst day of his life I believe he'll look back at this day as one of his most valuable days. You all are beautiful
Well said !
I made this same comment and got called racist one time hhaha because all the kids are so articulate I had to point it out
@@ellie3365 oh wow. No matter the race I'm always impressed when young children can clearly express their thoughts and emotions. I don't know man adults that can do that lol
Yes indeed! Parents judge their own kids and when they don't it creates a safe place for them to come to you about anything and everything. You never know how your baby is going to see the world so it's crucial we are that safe place for them. Physically and mentally.
@@ellie3365 there's a difference in acknowledging that Uriah can clearly articulate a feeling he is experiencing (particularly feelings children nor adults are often given space to express) and stating the children are so articulate. The latter will be viewed as racist as it is about how they speak. The former is about what they think and are expressing.
Youre the father I never had...thank you for being the amazing man you are. good vibes and example for the community.
I know eh. He teaches so many things on a daily basis. Thank you Glen.
@DankScole *hugs* beautiful comment. You are doing so well. Well done brother 💙
Two neighbor boys, who were a few years older, taught our boy to ride a bike. We tried to teach him for years and they taught him in less than an hour. Go figure.
A friend's husband was in his forties and had not learned. She said there was a program in the park where they taught people and they did so by removing the pedals. They would have people just coast on the bike to get the sense of balance and where to sit. Once they had that down they would put the pedals back on, and it seemed to go more easily for him
@@LindaC616 there are little kids bike with no peddles and no training wheels. My nephew had one when he was 3
Uzi stays 10 toes down for his “Riah” 🥰🥰🥰
“Can I get an electric bike” that’s one smart kid 😂😂
That whole “worst day of my life” speech was perfect 🤣🤣🤣
As an avid cyclist it makes my heart so happy for him to commit to the task, and really own it. The second his mind was made up, determination took over and he was riding. Great work'
U ever done the worm dance move
Bruh what is this reply lol
This is so encouraging... coming from a woman who allowed fear at a young age keep me from learning how to ride a bike. I'm going to learn now... there's so many gems in this video. 💜
Same here. I'm definitely going to learn now.
This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing this.
Yall got this!!! Plz come back and update us 🚴🏾♀️!!!
Thanks for sharing , i also let fear stop me from learning and it’s never to late I’m in my mid 20s and just learned to swim , bike riding is next! Warmed my heart to not feel alone 🖤
You got this!!
Uriah broke my whole heart 💔when he said “I don’t even believe in myself.” It was probably a way to get out of it but mannnn…that hurt.😩 Great job Dad!!!
Me too made my heart ache for the child. He can do it. Just takes time and balance. Glen thanks for encouraging that child. Love him. He is doing great Now he wants to do it himself. Haaaaaaa Happy Father’s Day Glen.
Uriah’s “worst days” hit differently 🤣🤣🤣 I feel him…it be the little things
Man I would've cried seeing my son get it right. Aye Beleaf you're doing an amazing job, I hope I'll be a father like you one day. Your children are blessed!
Beleaf, that is the deepest summation of family support. “ we believe in you enough that you believe in yourself”. Put it in a Hallmark card. Way to build a strong support system amongst your children that will last their whole lives. Beautiful thing to see. Bless up 🙏🏿
So proud of Uriah. It’s never as hard as you build it up to be in your head. I taught myself how to ride a bike at 5 years old. I asked my dad to take my training wheels off because I wanted to be like my big sister. My parents didn’t think I would actually learn so young. But one day they looked out the window and I was teaching myself. When I get discouraged about something I always try to remember that I’m the same little girl that was determined to do something and did it all by myself.
My dad still tells me about my bike lesson to this day, 30 years later....we both remember the struggle and triumph 🤣🤣
Good Job Uriah. So proud of him! Glen what a great Dad you are for not allowing him to ever quit! even when he cries lol.
The way you interact with your children just warms my heart. What a wonderful example you are for young fathers.
Love how Beleaf interacts with his children negative comments about Anayah's hair we get a song "Beauty Queen" Uriah's heartbreaking statement " don't even believe in myself." we see I want to try again by myself
Being a dad in 24/7/365 not just one day keep it up .
Seeing him learn was too precious! I thought this would be a 3 part video lol he did so well by the end 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I want to thank you for giving us such a positive message of a true happy healthy family
I've never in my 48 yrs of life seen a kid that didn't want to learn how to ride a bike. I remember being a kid & being excited to get a new bike & learn how to ride one. I'm glad you pushed him to learn how to ride cuz him saying he didn't believe in himself is an attitude ppl carry with themselves forever & believe that negative self talk.
It even continues to teens who don’t want to learn how to drive. I have friends we had to make there 17 & 18 kids to learn how to drive and get a license. They were tired of driving them to all their activities. I was excited to drive & couldn’t wait. That’s how my generation was.
Nowadays there are other “fun” activities for kids to do that learning bike is not as fun for some.
Back in the day having a bike or riding a bike is so fun. A
Way to go Uriah!! Good job dad!! I was one of those kids who had a bike and couldn’t ride. About a year after I’d gotten my bike, I went to visit my cousins and my cousin wanted me to try to learn on hers. Their driveway had a little hill-then it seemed so big. I got a push down the hill and the next thing I knew, I was in the street pedaling for my life! The original “ride or die!”😂😂😂
Happy Father's Day♥️. Being raised by an amazing black men myself. Thank you for letting the world know. This is how great fathering is done.♥️
This blessed me. Uriah seems to be the example of many people who often doubt themselves until we listen to what The Father says to us through his word about who we are because that’s who he created us to be before we even realized it. God’s words compel us to keep going even through falls and tears because we soon understand that what He says is really true and has been all along. We just have to keep what he says at the forefront of our minds. That’s the challenge! Uriah kept hearing his father’s voice and his mind began to transform from “I can’t” into “I can, and I will today!” Uriah went from not wanting to be bothered with a bike to wanting a dirt bike once he realized the truth. His father’s voice gave him hope and encouraged him to “see” success before it was within his reach because his father reminded him beforehand and continued to recite what he said before. We can do whatever The Father says. Period. We just have to be close to hear His voice. Whew! 😢
I'm that kid. No one forced me or encouraged me too ride either. So I'm here for it all. And Uriah you do not want to be that kid watching his younger siblings ride their bikes.
I made my initial comment before I watched the video, now I can't stop smiling. I'm so proud of you Uriah. Electric bike?🤣 Happy Father's day Glen.
5:18 - 5:34 I honestly teared up. This made me realize how my mom is the only one who's pushing me to do more cause she believes in me more than I believe in myself. 💕
Yayyy Uriah! I appreciate that he’s someone who takes his time and proceeds with things when he’s ready. I can relate. It’s great to see the family growing together and the support of his siblings. 🙏🏽💗
Theo running after Uriah. So sweet. I lost it 🥹🥲
Wow! You gave your son more than a skill set of riding a bike. You gave him CONFIDENCE in his abilities...
"I know but we believe in you enough for you to believe in yourself"-Beleaf 2022
In my best Jamaican accent; "Big Ups" to Uriah!! Glen, you are the best Father ever!!
😂he’s still negotiating for an electric bike after all that success of doing it himself..he’s definitely an amazing child
11:47-12:30 Now that's a great commercial right there. So proud of Uriah, made me want to try learning how to ride a bike again, hope it's not too late. Awesome video.
Never too late. You got this. 🤗
1st all the way!!!!…..happy Father’s Day!! Keep the good work up.!.!
this is without a doubt the highest quality content on youtube. this man is unbelievably talented in countless ways. his son screaming when he brought him outside and he saw the bike. i fell over laughing.
As a kid I was extremely similar to Riah, scared to try new things and often discouraging myself and i was a daddy’s girl so I leaned on my dad to support me and help me through those times and eventually I wanted to do better for myself because I had his support. It means so much when parents are present and active in helping their children achieve milestones regardless of how small they are and this video was beautiful and did an amazing job in showing that even with the smallest or more larger bit of support your child will want to accomplish things for themselves not just because you say they have to. well done! i love this season of fatherhood, keep it up.
edit: I have to admit given the past Riah videos i was wondering if the “spoiler alert he didn’t do it” was going to make an appearance but i’m glad it didn’t 😂
Happy Father’s Day. My Father taught me how to ride a bike in one day. I remember we took a break mid-day and he made me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a glass of milk. He was so tired from running behind me, but he didn’t stop holding my seat until I learned... I was 5. Good memory ❤️
Buddy was just not having it today LMAO. Worst day everrrrr he says 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I love you guys.
OMG! YOU DID IT! Super proud of you.
Every time I watch this family I just feel apart of the family.-🙂
My father taught me how to ride a bike. Brings back memories. Awesome job Riah and Beleaf! Happy Father’s Day!
This video was emotional to me. Seeing a parent having taught their kids how to properly communicate and allowing them express themselves is just so refreshing. When I was younger if I tried to communicate any negative feeling of fear, sadness or uncertainty I'd be so quickly shut down by my parents and told to only speak positively making me extremely quiet and reserved because I felt no one understood. It's amazing to see someone doing it right and letting them express their fears but also letting them know you're there. I'd definitely do this when I'm a parent ❤
My husband and I are new to your CZcams community and immediately subscribed after seeing what a great fam you have. At 31 yrs old we’re about to be parents for the 1st time and need so much advice and guidance for our baby girl. That’s why we subscribed, because you Both as parents are a great example. The way we were both brought up as kids is the typical, “you’re small, you don’t know what you’re saying, stay quiet when adults are talking, getting spanked for no reason, or disregarded” we grew up with so much fear. We understand now that most of our adulthood problems are because of our childhood. Like riding a bike… since I was the chubby kid, my parents disregarded me for any type of physical sports. Long story short, my husband and I are working really hard to break our fears and work on becoming educated, less fearful of life so that we can help our baby girl be independent, confident, respectful, responsible.. thank you for all the light you bring into this world with your beautiful fam. 🧡🫶
So proud of you Uriah!!!! I know you hear this from mom and dad, and know that when you face something else difficult, just think about you learning to ride your bike, you will overcome. You will master and conquer it
I can relate to Uriah’s experience, I fell a lot and gave up the first try. But all it took was visiting my Nana in the countryside and her determination and I was riding nonstop. Thank you for sharing a glance of your beautiful experiences as a family. Happy Father’s Day!
My husband don't care about our kids being scared. Once our kids get comfortable riding with training wheels, they're coming off. My oldest wasn't into bikes until 8 and my husband wasn't putting on no training wheels for an 8 yr old. The rest of the kids were riding w/o training wheels by 4/5. He helped him balance for about 4 minutes. Then he pushed him and that was that. He did practiced in the grass at first.
Riah’s so dramatic😂😂Not him screaming when he saw the bike like bro! So funny!
Im so proud of him. I taught my babies how to ride by making the training wheels uneven. After about a week they would be riding recklessly. So then, I took the training wheels off completely. They fell a couple times, but got the hang of it pretty quickly.
Hmm can I get an electric
Dad: electric bike no♥️🤣♥️
Gotta love the effort these kids give
You are such a great father and you lead by example. This video brought tears to my eyes just to see Uriah succeed in accomplishing this goal. But, the funny part was when he said he wanted an electric bike😁😁!
Good job!!! He is going to love it once he gets the hang of it!
Definitely learned how to ride a bike. One hand, no hands, wheelies... The whole deal. Stopping a bike... Let's just say there were a lot of parked cars and fences that felt my rath! Great job, Riah!
You did it URIAH!!!! 👏🏾 💜 s/o to him for asking for an electric bike. Smart kid. This goes to show you what you can do.
I remember I boo-hoo-ed so loud the Christmas I got my shiny purple bike with the pink streamers and white basket with colorful plastic flowers. There was no such thing as a helmet and knee pads back then. I was about 7 or 8. "Why would Santa bring me a bike, when he KNOWS I can't ride?!!! " It took over a month to learn how to ride. You go Uriah!
My daughter never had ANY desire to learn how to ride a bike. I tried a couple of times but being a single mother and working two jobs was hard. Now that she is 29 and even though she's successful, I wish I had said those words to her and just tried harder. So empowering! I just love your family. 💜
He Riding and Im Crying at His Accomplishments
lol yeah im not the type of learner where you throw me on something and i just learn. thats how my dad tried to teach me everything. so biking didnt work for years. then a friends dad taught me step by step fundamentals of riding and i got it in like two tries. i was riding everywhere after that. "with the right support any dream is possible" and that was the right support that i needed!
As a 14 years old this made me cry because as I always say I didn’t grow up with a father figure and with your videos I can see how life is way better when both your parents take care of you and love you
Uriah’s comedic timing is everything! I also see a lot of Yvette’s facial expressions in him. I just love to see him grow older and become his own person. I am so proud of you Uriah, you did it!! ☺️🥹
I was smiling as if Uriah was my son!😃Excellent parenting and congratulations! 🎉🥳🎊🎈🚴🏽🚲I am always blessed seeing you & your wife’s interaction with your beautiful children. This day shall be embedded into the mind of the entire family as a “good day”!!!😇 Uriah will switch roles soon-he will become the encourager!📣👍🏽🤜🏽🤛🏽
#WayToGoGuys!!!🆒💯%👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
After many failed attempts to teach me how to ride a bike, I'll never forget waking up on Father's Day morning feeling determined to make my dad proud. My courage was powered by the fact that he KNEW I could do it, and so I did.
Thanks for sharing these moments as always! ✊🏾
“Can I get an electric bike” Uriah always has a loophole 😂😂😂
AND.....I smiled through the entire video!!!!!
A few years ago we taught my 26 yr old ex bf how to ride a bike. He grew up in a family of 6 , middle child, and taught all of his younger siblings but never learned. We took him to the park and by the end of the evening he was riding. We would then ride for miles across the bridge and to the beach and back for exercise. I learned how to ride at 6 from my dad's support. I still remember that day, RIP🙏🏾❤️
Awwww. He was so proud of himself. Well done Uriah!!
Happy! Happy! Happy! Father's Day to one of the best fathers EVER! I learned to ride a bike and my dad took off the training wheels and I have been riding ever since . That was a long time ago!
#MillionSubscribers loading! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
So proud of Riah!!! He did well! 👏🏾👏🏾 The affirmations melted my heart🥹
11:50 did it for me!!! Phew!!!!! Thanks for you continued exceptional example of fatherhood Beleaf!!! Happy and blessed Father's Day!
I caught my crying multiple times during this episode. My 3 yo was sitting watching with me and I found myself praying he would always know he has this same type of support from us. He screamed “He did it!” When Uriah got it. 😭
The message in this video was just what I needed to hear this morning. Having support when you are facing a challenge can really make a difference in how you approach and deal with the situation. Keep giving this inspirational content it's really a blessing to us all.
When he believed, he did. Kudos to you Dad for showing him that his faith in himself can help him reach his goal.
“This. Is the worst day. Of my LIFE” I’m crying
URIAH..YOU ARE AMAZING AND CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TOO..🥰❤️🤗.. and Happy Father's Day to you ..You are the kind of father most kids can only dream of. The way you encourage and love all your children is so nice to watch.
I started crying watching him ride that bike by himself he made me so proud. Uriah should be so proud of himself he did such a great job.
I love that in the middle of promo He dropped everything 🙌 😍 and celebrated his son. #ButGod #LoveAndLight #Beautiful
It went from Uriah's "worst day in my life" to the best day by tackling one of his biggest challenges. 👏🏾👊🏾
I am so proud of Uriah. You did it Uriah! Not only did you learn how to ride a bike. You conquered your fear and you believe in yourself. You can do anything you don't think you can do. Good job!
I learned how to ride a bike as soon as possible to keep up with my big brother. A nice family saw me learning to ride on a school track with my brother's hand-me-down and gave me their daughter's old bike. Loved it ever since.
Way to go Uriah! You conquered your fear of falling and 🚵♂️ learned to ride your bike in just an afternoon!
It made me sad when he said “dad i dont even believe in myself”
We believe in you RIAHHHH!!!I’m young and I never were taught to learn how to ride a bike, but I can ride a bike😂. How? I just got on the bike because everyone made it seem cool and I kept pedaling & now I’m cycle basically everywhere and even race with people who been doing it for years and come first. I believe in you and everything you do! YOU GAT THIS RIAHHHH
CZcams please 🙏 award Beleaf for being an Outstanding Man. Father and putting out GREAT contents for all to see.
#BlackFathersatBest.
My guy stayed focused he was committed congratulations you did an amazing job you are an amazing father keep looking forward❤❤
Tears!! Tears!! He did it! I love when he has the option to leave for the day and he said “no, I want to try again”
I will never forget how accomplished, proud, & free I felt the day I learned to ride a bike. At 44, I still remember everything, like it was yesterday.
I love how you gave him a kiss and a hug when he said “he couldn’t”.
So, did I just shed a tear when Uriah finally rode the whole circle by himself?
Yup. I sure did.
Super happy for you young man. Keep riding.
This brought tears to my eyes. Uriah did it and I’m so proud❤
I remember teaching my son how to ride a bike. Lol . Everyone said dont worry bout
It. I was like never! Every person needs to kno how to ride a bike. Right of passage
OMG! I'm so happy for him. Cheering him on & gasping when he gets close to a metal object on the playground. Great accomplishment.
Teaching my kids how to ride a bike is one of the greatest joys I have experienced as a dad
He really said “do I have to”
I teared up when he got wind of riding the bike. I felt so proud like I was a parent lol. This inspired me to do things fearlessly. He fell a couple of times, cried, but kept going until he got it. This is beautiful.
I had training wheels, but I remember my FIRST "Big Girl" bike...I fell in a ditch🤦🏾♀️ Mt Dad said "Don't tell your mom"😅.
Try try and try again😁👍🏾 You got it Uriah!
My big brother had teach me to ride a bike when I was 3 and I had teach my little brother two of my cousins.
Will always remember my cousin telling her father that we made her fall down 😃
This video has literary made me cry, out of joy! I am soo happy Uriah finally knows how to ride a bicycle. ❤❤❤
I can’t lie when Uriah said “I don’t even believe in myself” it made me sad. Like ik in the video he’s just nervous to ride a bike but it just made me think…..& to see him want to push harder! I love the way you guys raise your kids! 💗
That ending was too perfect LOL
I know you're should not have favorites !!! But I love him so much "can I have a electric bike?" Good job Uriah !!!
The way I was screaming for Uriah when he rode the bike by himself! Go Riah go!!!!!
oh Uriah Im so proud of you, You are an overcomer. The negative past does not hinder you from a successful future.
