Vsett 10+ Brake upgrade. Doing it on a Budget? how to guide!

  • We all want bigger brakes, maybe for a splash of colour or style? maybe for performance? better modulation.
    In this vid I show how i done it on mine for less than £30 each end! BARGAIN! you can even do it for less if you go for cheaper caliper mounts.
    Orginally i doubted it too, so i bought a 160mm/140mm mount and it was the same as the mount i took off. then i ordered 180mm/160mm mount and its the right fit.
    so what we have learnt is due to the angle the arm is in relation to the horizontal the bigger the bracket has to be. same as on a bike this bracket would only work on a 160mm rotor if its mounted on the rear of a bike.
    now as the swing arms are identical on the ecsooter it fits both ends like it would the rear of a bike due to the low angle.

    You are the man! Watched your vid and decided to upgrade my 10+, except went with Magura discs and adapters. The Magura discs are slightly thicker and less prone to bending. Cheers bro and thanks for posting this tutorial!

    Pretty funny name for brakes "Snail". This should make some difference I mean in my experience un-sprung weight is always great for performance.
    Either way big or small difference it looks awesome! Thanks for the vid!

    This looks like a Rotor upgrade not the actual brakes. Thought you might be upgrading the brakes to Shimano or Magura, that would be awesome.

      @escootermodificationguides2149  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, you are right in theory, i've now tested them with flat tires and they still don't strike the ground. I suppose the worst scenario would slipping into a pothole with the disc side riding the edge.

    hi sir! mine is Ultron T11. i've bought exactly same disc 'snail' brand also same colors as yours 👍 but when the time i want to changed from old to new disc, there is different the 6 hole between the standard disc and the 'snail' ones..is all the electric scooter is using same like bicycle or just some of it? please help..thanks!

    • @escootermodificationguides2149
      @escootermodificationguides2149  Před 2 lety +1

      So just to clarify, your discs should have 6 holes in them for bolting it up, all bike discs have the same universal hole pattern or they have a single toothed large hole in the centre. i cant say if the ultron has has a different disc made especially for it but it would be very odd for a company to do that and not adopt the standard bike disc set up
