  • In his return to Boston, Kyrie Irving played like a man on a mission during the Brooklyn Nets' Game 1 loss to the Celtics. The All-Star guard dropped 39 points, but he was also seen flipping the middle finger to the fans throughout the afternoon. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to Kyrie clapping back at the fans.

i don't like kyrie, but i love his response. he doesn't go crying about it like westbrick does, he just takes it and throws it right back in your face and backs it up with his play. with that being said, i don't like how kyrie tries to make himself seem like an elevated intellectual who sees things us ordinary cavemen don't understand, just to degrade that image he tries to build by saying middle school insults like "suck my d". i wouldn't be surprised if kyrie pulls out the classic yo mamma insult next game lol

In the Cavs postgame interview, Kyrie was babbling on about 'Prayers and meditation and God flowing inside him' and 5 days later he's cursing and flipping off kids in the stand.

I totally agree with Shannon! He messed up letting the Boston fans know they got under his skin. The good news is that he can come back in game 2 and maybe drop 50. He is just that good! I hope he does! Nets win game 2

This is the softest take ever. If Hank Aaron and Jackie Robinson ever let name calling get to them there would never be an integrated league. Believe me they were called alot worse than Bs and Mfers , they were actively threatened.
    Kyrie is soft af.
Skip and Shannon soft af for this.

That doesn’t make it okay. Back when they played people said that type of stuff on the street. That isn’t okay now, just like people can’t say certain stuff to players.

Completely different situation.they couldn’t speak back to fans if those guys said anything to fans they would basically get kicked out of the league because of the racism at the time .And kyrie did let the banter get to him 39 5/6/4 on 60% it only made him go harder just like Jackie and hank only difference is he has the freedom to respond without jeopardizing his career as a consequence Jackie and hank didn’t have that luxury

As a Boston Native/C's fan, last night's heated moments were so damn fun. Kyrie even described it in post-game that it's fun and all's fair in competition. I just hope it stays at this level and fans don't go overboard as a result

    This a lose-lose for Kyrie.
It’s tough tuning people out but listen to them at the same time.
If a fan cheers and outwardly praises Kyrie and he doesn’t respond then he’s ignoring fans.
Someone outright disrespects this man… Kyrie is supposed to be quiet… that’s crazy.
