Simmons adds the length and added boards and a Harris adds length and shooting. Basketball is not rocket science but people get clouded with emotion. The Nets shot 50% and 40% 3p. Their offense is high octane. Simmons will help out on the other side of the floor. Harris will relieve some of the offensive burden.

I’ll put it like this. We’ve all been in positions where with our friends, our confidence is heightened more than when we’re not. KD was able to operate with elevated confidence level in GS. With Steph and Klay and Draymond you have the 2 BEST SHOOTERS IN WORLD HISTORY AND A DPOY that’s easy treading for ANY star to fit right in to. The ultimate safety nets. As 2pac said, “ya ain’t shhhh without ya homeboyz.” Not to the fullest extent because KD is a great player, but you catch my drift; he ain’t the best. You can operate with Steph and Klay knowing that if you miss, it’s UNLIKELY they’ll miss the next 2 shots. Great player, but joining a 73 win team and winning is not a monumental feat for a player of his caliber.

KD had it made in golden state with two of the greatest shooters, win 2 chips and still didn’t feel accomplished because he understood the dynamics of that team. KD and Irving not only flopped defensively, but also offensively. KD biggest game is the game 4 where he score 39 points on 31 FGA. Which is not even that good.

KD and Kyrie and the Nets were title favorites two weeks ago. Kevin Durant and Kyrie got swept in their prime in the first round. Let that sink in. This is the ultimate choke job and as bad as it gets.
To be fair they were playing a team that had a net rating greater than the 96 bulls over the last 3 months, won 30 of 36 games and we're totally mismatched on defense. Offensively the Nets actually shot over 50% and 40% from 3 against a historic defense. Every game was very close and was the 3rd closest sweep in history. The nets problem was their size mismatch meant they couldn't ever get a stop on the defensive end. That's why they lost the series. But this series could've easily gone 6 or 7 and was way closer than the bulls bucks series that went 5. People like seeing the sweep but have no context of how it happened. On top of this, Vegas had the Celtics as high favorites in the series so it really wasn't an upset.
