Man City was founded 1880, there is 143 years of history, if winning and being succesful is the only definition of history, then we are badly behind some "we are the only one real club" agenda. Why do people say 'history' when they mean 'success?' Liverpool were established in 1892. City in 1894. So yes, Liverpool have 2 years more history. But obviously that's not what people mean. It's just that 'I support Liverpool because of their history' sounds better than 'I support Liverpool because they're successful.' In 20 years time, you'll have 30 and 40 year olds claiming that they support City because of their history. No, they were just the best team when you got into football.
