However on track against a full fat M Car? Now thats a result I want to see!

How does the m240i compare with the m140i?
I always thought you can make a M2 competitor out of an M240i with the right suspension upgrades but this video just proves that M2 and M2C are in a league of their own. Great Video!
Different leagues but I’m excited to have a long term build!
Odd conclusion, he pretty much stayed with him the whole time and your not taking driver skill or track knowledge into account
there are multiple f22 race cars and drift cars out there most still run b58s an f22 with an LSD, coilovers, bushings, control arms, etc. Is definitely a great track car even with a b48 the main differences if you upgrade parts are gonna be the width and fitment but there are multiple f22 wide body kits if you wanna go that far it's a very capable chassis but the stock suspension is mediocre and the electric steering lacks feel also the sway bars are not easy to install so it's gonna take time and money to get it to m2 level but it seems worth it for the people who have
@@Gr1MM240I just don’t get why if you had the money to buy a 140/240, and you had the spare 10-15k to mod it, why you wouldn’t just buy an M2 in the first place?
@@RiperSniflei will tell you why. I want the 240i xdrive. Money isnt a factor for me. If the m2 comp came with xdrive I woulda gotten it but right now I am looking at the f22 240i xdrive and modify it to m2 comp level.

Cheer up mate Bugatti dealerships still have a service department for anything that goes wrong !...so things will go wrong with cars less than a Bugatti...your driving was fantastic ! Rocky Blackbola wheels are serious...M2 had the advantages but I'd like to ask are the margins between the M2 and M3/M4 significant? It might be arguable that the margins between the M2 and M3/M4 are so small the M2 isn't needed. What do you think ?

out of curiosity no hate, if you're planning on tracking alot - why sell the m2 just to spend so much on parts to upgrade the m240 and still be slower then an m2 on track?
You can make more power much easier than the N55 M2, so I would imagine that was a factor considering it’s still a road car.
I also imagine content wise for CZcams m240 gets more views
@@mevans8646 yes id take the b58 anyday over the N55! stage 2 440hp compared to 420hp M2? M2's limited by the fuel pump , both will need fuel pumps + flex fuel to touch 500hp anyway, both will overheat on hard track ect at those numbers. so for some extra power is it worth losing a track ready car with better looks, balance, traction and handling? the mans got racing wheels/breaks and is going to every single track in the UK.. not just a road car.
@@dukat8456 mate,you can get 450 break with the correct timing from a simple stage 1 as wgmotorworks and other tuners have shown. Stage 2 gen 1 b58's can reach 480 or just under with ease,then upgraded fuel pump and you're touching the 500's without flex fuel.Og m2 doesn't stand a chance power wise
Hi mate, my decisions were quite varied one was that long term financially I’d rather not pay m tax on parts and I’d rather have a modern engine along with that, the m240i racing is stunning 👀
Was it the heat exchanger for the charge cooler? Time for an upgraded one if so I reckon 😜
Not sure, it’s the small one that’s on the side filled with coolant?
@@TimWilliamsHD Yep. The heat exchanger sits in front of the radiator so it's normally the one that gets damaged. Get yourself a Wagner or CSF one.

@@SH7SH7SH7 stage 2 M2 is 420/430, the b58 in the m240i is around 440-460 depending on where you get it tuned

I tracked my m240i recently and I'm def looking to change out my stock tires and brakes.
Are you running 18" or 19"? And what about the pads?
I’d recommend ds2500 as a start and then defiantly the ferodo ds1.1s, I’m ran zestino’s at my last Trackday at brands hatch and they did okay, will need a longer day to test them out fully but they seemed okay!

They’re not sold as track wheels bud 😄 I got them just to get rid of my stock wheels and go wider..they did the job perfectly and swapped to wider pilot sports 4 on them for winter :)
I think you should get into an M2 comp 550 bhp stage 1 tune 😁
