+MARQ CARNITA yes he did.. but laranja used a EASY jui-jitsu technique. (helping the wrestler ''over throw'') making a scramble into a roll resulting into chris being choked xD
For the record, do not try this in a collegiate/high school wrestling match. Mr. Referee was not too pleased with myself afterwards. #DQed #woops #itwascool
***** I saw a duck under to a suplay from the side that was so smooth and whisper quiet that the ref let it go. It was beautiful. To bad it was on our 185 lb guy. His opponent was ranked like 2nd or 3rd in the nation.
One question- Would the person being, let's say...a half a foot shorter than you change the execution of the throw any? Most of the women in my division are a 6-12" shorter than me, and while I like to do throws, I find them difficult on shorter women.
Hey everyone, i never trained wrestling or done mma before, but i always been a fan of wrestling. so i have a question of doing supplex,im afraid of trying them becuz im afraid of hitting my head on the floor or breaking my shoulder since i noticed u dont land on ur back but on the side, can anyone guide me with my worries,i will appriciate it alot n hey i might help u out with something u have a Q in,.thanks everyone n thanks chris n fightnerd
What I wonder is how doffivult it is not to step but do it from standing right after you grip them? Ive seen kolat do this in his instructionals. Also,, Kolat can do it without even turning jsut pure abckarch and even land with a backarch over his shoulder while the other guy is flst. I wonder again how much trianing this tskes and how many people cns do it or if that is worth attempting vs how msot do it which is complete turn and at end fscing the opponent.
great throw!!! if he can do it to anderson silva and ground and pound him, watch out for the triangle choke, no doubt hell be the next middleweight champ
much more useful than the usual crap that they teach in self defence classes .. it's not about a single winning move anyway .. rather than the skill of wrestling in general. The better guy ends on top, that is useful.
this move would work on the streets, especially when a wrestler does it and its second nature to him. Not to sound like a douch but ive done a similar move in a streetfight on a sidewalk in nyc, called a lateral drop. That was my favorite move in wrestling and i could do it in my sleep, worked like a charm on the street cause after u hit it u can get right on top of the dude and smash him.
well i BSD a belly to belly i was way off i launched like a bat out of hell he landed on his shoulder which broke but it lloks so much more beautifly controled
well I guess if you really think about it, your opponent will be struggling to get out, therefore giving you options on which way you're going to turn and execute. at least that's what it looks like here.
thats why when he finally connected he knocked his ass the fuck out right? and the leg lock he did is called a heel hook, he almost got it, problem is sweat is a big factor and its easy to break out of when you are sweaty.
things will happen, sometimes perfect criteria is met, personally, I wouldn't try this specific move on the street. WHy? Because usually, like the guy in the video, whoever performs the move tends to hit the ground first right onto their shoulder,.
It's a dangerous move. The coach wouldn't let anyone but the top guys work on it before practice. I came to practice early and asked if I could try it he said "nope" It's also dangerous because if someone sees it coming they can hook their leg around yours and land in a mounted position.
that is a very interesting point that in my op fighters dont seem to capitalize on. may it be MMA or WWE its the perfect op to fall into a mount or pin position, I think
To be honest, this throw is very high level wrestling. I do not recommend it for anyone who has not competed in pretty high level freestyole or Greco. in an MMA match, the risks far outweigh the potential benefits. Time would be better spent on simpler, equally effective (though less spectacular) moves. Just my two cents.
But if the guy you throwing drops his weight and hook your outside leg, if you try to trow him you could land right on your head knocking yourself out or hit your head injuring your neck.... Before you pop the hips make sure the legs are clear for take off...LOL!!
I lat dropped the guy, wound up in side control starting to throw some punches but his girlfriend started attacking me at the same time and i wound up pushing her down and basically just scramble back to feet...
@vergilheartnet thats cos when they do it the other guy lets them throw them and the guy the're throwing also jump. dont believe everything u c in wrastling to b real
I hit all my drunk friends with the lateral because they always come rushing in off balance leaning forward.. They go flying..ever threw somebody so hard 1 of they shoes flew off....lol
that's like a sacrifice throw, though...I don't know about that one. I don't think i'd try that in a street fight. I'm liable try break my own ass just trying that throw
if you havent practiced supplexs and havent developed a back arch yeah dont fucking try this. This type of throw can easily end a fight in the street aswell
This Weidman guy seems good I think he may have a future UFC career
Whoosh!
Okay?
-Chris weidman
2:32 We have to open our mouth to do that move too?
if you search ''weidman fights renato laranja'' he uses this slam and he opens his mouth like that too lmao
How many times did he say "okay" hahaha

+MARQ CARNITA yes he did.. but laranja used a EASY jui-jitsu technique. (helping the wrestler ''over throw'') making a scramble into a roll resulting into chris being choked xD

He does that super risky stuff in fights? Oh my lord what a freak.

Where is the step called "open the mouth widely"?
great throw!!! if he can do it to anderson silva and ground and pound him, watch out for the triangle choke, no doubt hell be the next middleweight champ
Okay, Chris Weidman, okay. Please don't beat me up too. :)

"O' Kay"
I wana learn this throw so bad but it looks a lil risky hmmm
This looks like more of a judo throw than a wrestling throw. Still deadly doe.
congrats now the MW champ
Come on guys lets all bag him out cos of how many times he said "Okay" HAW HAW HAW I'M A FUCKING LOOOOOOOSER!
kay
well i BSD a belly to belly i was way
off i launched like a bat out of hell he landed on his shoulder which broke but it lloks so much more beautifly controled
watched this 5 mins ago forgot how to do it
Weidman gonna kick your ass, just wait!! UFC Champion !!!!!!!!!!!! Steel !!!!!
well I guess if you really think about it, your opponent will be struggling to get out, therefore giving you options on which way you're going to turn and execute. at least that's what it looks like here.
ok cris ok
Usually, whe nyou hit the shoulder you roll so the energy is dispursed.
A trip instead of a throw makes this like a sumo takedown. But otherwise this throw is awesome.
does this require strength or good technique?
Both
which would u say is the most important factor?
Technique because the setup is the most important factor when executing throws, but both are definitely needed, however technique is most important.
Punjabi Lion Nope, just believe in yourself. Eviscerate all your limbs if you have to, that actually makes it easier.
thanks for the advice but eviscerate? meaning?
thats why when he finally connected he knocked his ass the fuck out right? and the leg lock he did is called a heel hook, he almost got it, problem is sweat is a big factor and its easy to break out of when you are sweaty.
if you fight chris weidman, make shure you are not on concrete.
okay
things will happen, sometimes perfect criteria is met, personally, I wouldn't try this specific move on the street. WHy? Because usually, like the guy in the video, whoever performs the move tends to hit the ground first right onto their shoulder,.
kay? mmkay? okay? o-kay? kay? k? k.
no this move can be used in real life if ur good at it
@Icanhasacookie Thats why you have long limbs for sweeps :)
OK, yes I understand, OK?!!!
mr mackey

Good point about the leg hook, plus it looks like a brutal throw so I wouldn't trust anyone but top level fighters to practice it with.
that is a very interesting point that in my op fighters dont seem to capitalize on. may it be MMA or WWE its the perfect op to fall into a mount or pin position, I think

Scott Steiner style
Okay?

Brock Lesnar's Signature
LOL the blonde guy looks like minny brock lesnar :)
Gabi suplexing Falco
haha poor anthony
dude he got KO'd ...Look up what that means, then look at Anderson vs Weidman
But if the guy you throwing drops his weight and hook your outside leg, if you try to trow him you could land right on your head knocking yourself out or hit your head injuring your neck.... Before you pop the hips make sure the legs are clear for take off...LOL!!
The only poeple i ever seen done an overhead belly to belly suplex easily are kurt angle and brock lesnar
Fell asleep
Well he's thrown professional MMA fighters like this in fights so..
I hit all my drunk friends with the lateral because they always come rushing in off balance leaning forward.. They go flying..ever threw somebody so hard 1 of they shoes flew off....lol
needs to arch more
lol.
that's like a sacrifice throw, though...I don't know about that one. I don't think i'd try that in a street fight. I'm liable try break my own ass just trying that throw
if you havent practiced supplexs and havent developed a back arch yeah dont fucking try this. This type of throw can easily end a fight in the street aswell
Brock Lesnar belly to belly bigshow.
Ok?
fuck, its noisy over there
WHY DOES HE MAKE THAT FACE
ok?
would you rather have a minor shoulder injury or lose a street fight and potentially be murdered or have your face stomped in
No one cared a year ago.
fuck, its noisy over there
