    I like how Yvan is the kind of guy who could have his own ways and not change his mind just because he's been doing it this way for years. But instead, Idk if he's actually been using all these methods for years, but they are all so cutting edge and counter intuitive sometimes that when you actually try them you see how much easier you can do your work. This is actually efficiency combined with good results. We do sometimes forget that TikTok videos and Reels are there to entertain and amuse and are not the most efficient ways or even necessary in many occasions.

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  Před 9 měsíci +2

      we cut up a bunch of the long form videos into reels, because we know that's how a lot of people get their information these days. But the CZcams videos, hearing him explain things, are great. And yes Yvan's wisdom can seem very strange to most until you try it. And hey, if it works it works. You'll know pretty quick whether you want to adopt it or not but it's good to hear him really explain his logic behind the methods

    • @GeorgePap99
      @GeorgePap99 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@diydetailofficial Exactly! If you know about this channel you understand the shortform videos. If not, probably they make you check out the brand, which is good. For example, I recently used rinsless for the 1st time on my tires and saw how unnecessary those wheel and tire cleaners are for me that I take care of my vehicle very often. And that's just one of the things. 💪

    Excellent value and Yvan definitely educated me on using rinseless wash. Your trick of blowing air into a microfiber towel soaked in rinseless is simply satisfying. One way to explain stains to customers is the yarn has been blemished by the stain. At this point you can use a darker color dye or live with the stain blemish. Odors are a pain as they get into the hvac system and even the adhesives inside the vehicle. I have used enzyme cleaners but I did notice a chemical scent leftover in the vehicle which lasted about a month. Thank you guys for the education as my productivity has increased a lot but there is still work to do.

    People with egos need to leave them at home on the dresser. I've tried many things I've learned from yvan and seen for myself it works. Most things I learned in autobody during high-school ( many years ago) I've ditched and replaced with yvan knowledge. The 5-5-5 method for example. I've done it more than once (granted I have a 15mm and takes 2 or 3 times) and it really does work. And the idea that you cut with a rotary and finish with a DA or random orbital. No. It's the opposite. I use to do that, but reversed that after watching yvan. I've had a couple guys get the look of horror when they hear I use the rotary for finish until they see the gloss. The moral is, listen to someone that has been doing it as long as you've been alive or longer than you've been alive. Ego doesn't belong really anywhere in life, things are always changing and improving

    I must say, Yvan converted me to rinseless back in the day when he worked for optimum about 10 years ago. I use rinseless for everything. Im glad there are many options for rinseless. I use it on everything. My apc barely get used other than engine bays, and wheels.
    Also Yvan as a VW/Audi guy I agree the soft touch on the older cars definitely wears easily. The newer cars dont have it, but I still stick to the rinseless on interior methods.

Sides and rear are varying dark and the windshield is clear UV film. My question is, will the ‘aggressive’ side of your towel be too much for the tint film to handle? Any “correct” method coupled to specific products, is useless and meaningless unless you examine its COST per use, and how that cost can help you significantly lower your overall costs while satisfying that customer and making that customer say great things about you and becoming a loyal customer.
