Thanks for the detailed video. I love cleaning my Cybertruck and keeping it looking good. I even kept a detailing kit in the bottom of the center console for touch ups between proper washes. Thanks for the tips and video on cleaning the out gassing from windshields. I bought the products you recommended but haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing your many years of experience.
Don't listen to his advice on exterior detail. It will damage the finish. I'm working on a short video now on the proper way to do it as I leaned from Tesla employees. Very very different from what he recommends.

@@R3dL1ght5 Yeah I would've thought the same thing as you for sure. But I wasn't going to touch a customer car without studying the chemistry and material science. It showed it really isn't the case.
There's tons and tons of articles and research papers about how to passivate different types of stainless steel, but you need to passivate with an acid, which he is (briefly) doing, but then damaging the passivation layer with the alkaline ammonia based cleaner. The acid he''s using to passivate and remove oxidation is oxalic acid with a mild abrasive, but Tesla Officially recommends (and my testing confirms) using citric acid, as it is slightly more acidic. They also officially recommend using a much lighter abrasive, which I also found is MORE than sufficient still removing a slight Layer of material from the surface.

Hey Colten, really informative video. As a detailer myself i find dog slobber to be the absolute worst to clean up bc of the ghosting it can leave. Im going to pick up that gyeon right away. As for glass, we all understand the headache that comes w it. Ive found stoners invisible glass to work very well w a waffle weave towel. Anyways thanks for the great content and keep it up!

Can you suggest a way to remove dye transfer on the side seat area of the white vegan seat on my Y? I tried almost everything including the Gyon Strong Leather cleaner with no luck. Would like to hear your opinion!
does anyone know if you should wash and reuse the microfiber cleaning towels or is it best to toss em when dirty and use new ones next time?
I asked the guy at a detail and tint shop the same question and he said he buys his at harbor freight on the cheap and he washes them usually twice. I tried in on my CT and they work.
