I AM driving the VF8 City Edition that you called "dog crap" for the past 17 months and I still LOVE it! As a matter of fact, my wife got the Standard Edition (improved VF8) in January of this year. So from an actual owner of 2 VF8s, I am laughing at YOU! I have gotten so many compliments on both of our VinFast VF8s that you won't for your Tesla that you have been using as a 'standard'!

As usual, a super detailed appraisal, much appreciated. After watching Francie’s videos about the car, I went and test drove one, and placed a deposit. You guys can be pretty harsh, and I can’t say you are wrong. Where I would take issue is first, the styling. You guys (and every other reviewer) see the styling as bland. Maybe it seems bland compared to cars you review, but to me, it seems understated and classy. I find the Hyundai and Kia EV styling to be awkward, it’s like those cars want to be sure everyone knows they are an EV. I prefer the German EV approach, more mainstream. One thing not mentioned, the taillights on the VinFast are vaguely MustangE like. When I mentioned that to the salesman, he told me “VinFast had that taillight design before the MustangE.” Ok, not quite. By the way, that green color is called “Deep Ocean.” It’s beautiful in person, that’s the color I ordered. It’s my opinion that most of the things you complain about are addressed by the Plus trim I ordered. The seats are different (perforated heated and cooled, both front and rear) a large skylight that fully opens over both seats, an electric rear hatch with hands free (foot wave to open) and a more two toned interior which is more visually appealing. The Plus also has more horsepower, and larger wheels. (And 20 miles less EPA range.) My wife and I own four ICE cars, all between 2009-2016. A Mini, A Camaro, A Buick Enclave, and an Acura MDX. Both of us were super impressed by the VinFast interior. I suppose even a premium SUV like our 8 year old Acura compares poorly to most 2024 models. So basically, I’ll be leasing a VinFast because of the coverage on your channel. I hope to really like it as much as Francie does, and not be disappointed as much in the details as Kyle is.

Is there any type of sealant I can’t use on matte paint? I have a customer cat I’m doing this Sunday and I won’t have time to order some special matte detailer spray

This video...lol. Bug stains and little scratches on the ppf is the point so my paint does get destroyed. All the stuff he complains about I couldn't care...about.

Great video. I now have a much better appreciation what good detailers do for "paint correction" and why. I just had my Emira detailed and fully wrapped. Left it for 5 days and now understand why they needed it so long. With that "attention to detail" (pardon the pun) you deserve more business, and hopefully this video will attract more customers. Your eye for detail and quality is incredibly awesome, second to none.

Still just for posers who want to be seen in a truck. People who need a truck for work, to make money, buy real trucks, with real engines. We can't use your grocery getters, and we definitely don't care about 0-60 times, giant laptop screens where the dashboard should be, or aoftware updates.

Unlike Francie, we have a dealership 11 minutes from our home in Montreal. 1.49% leasing is very rare in Canada. I'm seeing more on the road and understand why, with such low lease payments, someone would choose this.

I'm guessing the reason there's no emergency release on the rear doors would be for child safety. Having a door latch that could open a door locked or unlocked accessible to a small child would probably be a bad idea

I would never go with PPF for that price. I prefer to plasti dip my car . Adds somewhat same protection from rocks and stuff. Yes looks bad after some abuse from rocks bugs etc and peels but for another 300-900$ depends on colors and car size you can redo it in a day even on your own, maybe even change a colour or have a fun mix. Makes the car more unique and personal and at the end before selling you can remove it in an hour. One of the reasons why now i buy only white cars. Cheap to repaint or correct for the same price as you would put bits of PPF and risking to have uneven cuts or fingerprints etc :D

1 nissan ariya looks better 2 its wery quiet, it has laminated glass around. Seat are more confotable than id4 and tesla. Back seat are realy conf for 3 adults. Instead id 4 no place for 3 people , the climate controls in the back is idiotic, on the floor😂😂 Climate seats in ariya much better than id4 Seats in ariya are perforatet, of natural leather,wenn you don't like them you can choose parth lether and velvet seats with memory foam, you dont sweat in this seats . Other two have artificial leather seats. You have a panoramic roof that opens In nissan arya you have in base head up display ,werry good one, option in id 4 , no chance in tesla. Back doors in id 4 are of the cheapest plastic i've ever seen. Buttons are idiotic, slides for clima and sound , idiotic. Gearchanger in id 4 - a strap on in nissan is a normal one, tesla hmm ... tentation is queit bizare.sond in nissan is a performant Bose, tesla a regular one And the last. Id 4 in full option, as nissan here in Switzerland is 74 000 francs, extreme expensive. Arya -56 with awd and 400 horse power Actualy id 4 is a regular garbage that vw are trying to push on them that they are seating in a golf II . Is not , ... looks bad, hideous interior, dumb comands... as all the time they spent more on adwertising and marketing as on engeneers and developers.wenn you don't like nissan , buy Tesla, much better, or bmw ix3, ,wonderfull choice sxkoda enyaq, but id 4 .... lets say.... Nice try VW.

I mean, the purpose of PPF is as a sacrificial layer. If you have a vehicle you might resell in 5 years and want to take off-roading. Doesn't really matter if it looks grungy. You can remove it for resale and have better paint underneath. And you can do it yourself and save a bucket of money - repainting yourself is near impossible to do without a lot of experience.

Im curious why u wouldn't want plastics ok the lower parts of the doors and dash. That area gets the most kicks and dings and plastic wears the best and is easy to replace or clean.

If your are considering PPF, you likely would care about the edges As someone who details their own car and hates finding dried wax in the crevices, I would care about the edges from dirt, wax, even ceramic coating high spots. That you'd spend all that for PPF and then have to spend for the same top coatings like wax and ceramic, then have to replace if there was significant damage means this a tough sell to me. I'd rather that 5k, put it in a savings account then use it to respray the front in 3-5 years
