Yup! More and more please!
Hi Paul. Sure I like that ! Very beautiful melody. Have a nice day and week.
The arpeggio runs are beautiful
Always beautiful to my ears!
Thanks man 🍻
Ahh Paul man. So, so good.
Them notes mustn't be on my guitar.🤔
They are, but they're in the wrong order. 😂
Yes, I had them specially installed during the build 🤣
You keep doing this Paul! Extraordinary and beautiful. I just love your touch and the nuances in your playing that make your compositions like stories. I shall listen again with the lights down and float over Stirling for a while. None of this sounds like it comes from someone who has been feeling a bit burned out. The creative light burns bright. Peace.
Well thank you Will, I appreciate those word. Cheers 🍻
"Hangs in the air like a beautiful cloud . . ." Yes, yes, it does.
Thanks man 👍
Very nice playing Paul
Fantastic content as always. Thanks
My amp tip is 1, check all the valves are properly seated, 2 (for microphony only) with the amp on, tap each the valve in turn with a pencil end, 3 swap out the 1st preamp valve with a know good one (or at least known working one). 4 if 3 has cured it, swap the original valve back in! If the fault is back valve 1 was poor, if the fault is cured, just checking seating wasn't enough and there was a poor connection on one of the pins, or socket. If you don't have a spare valve, fully removing and reinserting the 1st preamp valve is worth a try.
I was about to suggest much the same.
If that doesn’t get it, your man in Glasgow will get you sorted.
Be well Paul.
PS did I understand correctly that you’re teaching people to drive on a manual transmission?! You’re subjecting your poor wee new clutch to the abuse of beginners?
Someone once told me , that playing a Tube amp that is always attenuated , is poison to the tubes. Because they work on high level all the time. I know nothing technically about it, just heard it.
@@PsionicAudio said "did I understand correctly that you’re teaching people to drive on a manual transmission?"
Standard practice in the UK. Learn how to drive any car, not just an automatic.
One can sit an "auto only" driving test, but a licence based on this will ONLY let you drive automatics legally. If, for instance, you go to hire something, and the hire co. only has manuals left, you're stuck.
Thanks Icarusi, sounds good. I’ll show your comment to the tech too. Cheers 👍
that sounds real badass, got to go practice, thanks for the nice vibe 🍻
Thank you Sega 🍻
I played in the three greatest bands ever formed, it was a fun learning curve.
1.The Bruised Ego's.
2. The Dented Ego's.
3. The Miffed.-because nobody clapped and cheered.
These day's I play for keeps. ...keep smiling and learn to not give a funk brother.
Love it 🤣. Cheers LIFEFUNK, 🍻
@@paulstaffordcook8799 LIKEFUNK not LIFE-FUNK bro! 😂

Great as always bud 👍
Thank you Bill
Another sweet piece of music Paul-thanks for taking the time for running through it slowly!
Exceptional playing, thank you 🤩
Always a pleasure.....👍
Beautiful playing as ever. Glad the rut is behind you.
Thank you Paul for another great video best wishes as always to you and your family from Glasgow
Cheers Frank 🍻
Really inspiring Paul. Please keep 'em coming
Thank you Robert 👍
I don't know the chords you played but they sure sounded pretty and the Oswalds play well together! Thanks Paul and be well. NRG
Thanks Neil. I don’t know the chords I played either 🤣
Lovely playing Paul .
Thanks Cannavan1 👍
Jazz master is beautiful!
Thanks, it’s becoming my “go to” at this point. Delighted you like it. 👍
What a beautiful tunes here Paul. Thanks for the lesson. I enjoy so much your playing!
Greetings from Valencia, Spain 😎
Thanks Jagercaster, cheers mate
🎸🤙
Your touch on those Oswald's is just magic.
Thanks Mike 😊
Great playing Paul! Always hoping I bump into ya in an Edinburgh guitar shop.
Well I hope you say hi if you do. Actually, I was in GuitarGuitar last Tuesday lunchtime. Man, it was busy. I was trying a baritone but I couldn’t hear myself because of some guy thrashing away on a distorted guitar playing metal 🤣
Sometimes life gets in the way - I hear ya! Great playing as always, thx.
Cheers Peter 👍
Yes .thank you.happy Sunday to you as well!
Cheers John
This channel makes me want to break out the old strat, somehow I drifted into les paul land, but I realize there's just somethings an LP can't do,thanks for being more than just another guitar channel, your playing is over the top and I'll definitely stick around, thumbs up.
Well thank you man, I appreciate your words. Genuinely 👍
Beautiful. You are helping me decide how to fill the ES-335/Jazz Master hole in my musical soul… I feel like a Jazz Master is in my future. Now to find “The One”! It’s a wonderful problem to have, looking for my perfect Jazz Master. Thank-you for your wonderful inspiration! 👍❤️🎸🎶✌️
I feel you, I found my perfect ES-355. I love the jazzmaster but I’m more of a Gibson guy. Make sure you find the one you love and don’t settle for less. Weight, color, feel etc. if you can, try to play some in stores to get a neck that best works for you, unless you already know what to expect. Good luck on your find!
Thank you Michael, and I wish you well with your journey into the land of the off-set 😊👍
Some really good melodic ideas there. It’s nice hearing someone play guitar with an ear for tension, release dynamics etc. funnily I was just watching this with my partner saying you have a very German classical influence, and then you stopped playing and said you use a lot of classical influences😅. That hard tail strat sounds amazing. I think I’ve found my new favourite CZcams guitarist. 10/10
Well thank you reddieseled! I appreciate that. Genuinely 🍻👍
I don't know why I've never bought an offset guitar? Every time I hear a skilled player playing one. I just love it. Uhg. now I have to buy one lol. Great playing. The Strat sounds killer as well.
Thank you Daniel, I’m delighted (and sorry) to be fueling your G.A.S. 🤣
Hi Paul, I'm glad you had a good trip up to the NW to shake down the Suzuki. I noticed the Ullapool guitar festival was on the first weekend in October and wondered if you managed to catch it. I'd love to go one year before too long even though it's a canny drive from here in Durham.
Both Oswalds are sounding splendid, and the phrasing and the lesson were superb (as usual). Even though I watch Psionic Audio, and enjoy the content I have no idea what he's on about much of the time. So, I'm sad to hear the Cornell has a noise issue currently. I'd hazard a guess at the valves, and perhaps that they dont really get a chance to stretch their legs very often. Ha ha, hark at me, I haven't a clue! SUtraight off to the man who knows.
A few precious days off this week, must get a set up done on my old Strat sorted out together with some heavier strings. Up to 11's I think for while.
Thanks Peter. I had no idea there was such a thing as a guitar festival in Ullapool?! Well I rarely need an excuse to to go up that way, so I’m gonna look into that and maybe attend next time. Cheers Peter. Hope you get your Strat set up 👍
aye, enjoyed that. you make it look so feckin easy, disney mean a' kin play it though. some lovely tones. glad your enjoying the new car. you didn't get caught in that weather did you ? We were almost blown away. right , bedtime for the workers, have a fantastic week, cheers mate
Cheers Charlie. I got lucky the first day with lovely dry weather up near Tain. But Gairloch was a bit wet. Still, it was great to blast around these back roads in my new wee hatchback 🤣
Hey Paul, thanks. See my reply to icarusi below re: tubes and such.
But on a guitar note, have you played around with The Police’s “Miss Gradenko”? Should be right up your alley.
Thanks Lyle, for your input on the amp and also the Police song. I hadn’t heard it much before this point…. So I just listened with fresh ears, and when the guitar break came I smiled. Yeah, lots of tension and weird notes / scales. I like!!
Monday morning watching over breakfast. Couldn't ask for a better start to the week, thanks Paul. Do you have a collection of your pieces all in the one place ?
Thanks soundssimple, I’m delighted you like my stuff. The only place my stuff is in one place is on my Instagram. For example every time I upload a CZcams video, I also upload the musical section of it to Instagram. So by scrolling up or down through my account it’s like an album 🤣👍
Now, if you could convince Stevie Flynn to record the repair . . . . . ;-)
Good idea!
I've been chatting with Lyle from psionic a fair bit on live podcasts lately. He worked on my heroes amp Billy Corgan back in the 90s. He really knows his stuff
How do I get in touch with Lyle? I live 3 hours from Memphis and would like him to work on a vintage Marshall. I’ve emailed him half a dozen times, super chatted him $20 and asked him to check his spam filter and no response….
@@mkii1964 I only chat on the livestream on his channel, tone talk or head first amplification livestreams. I dont have his number or anything. It you had a mesa boogie that would explain him ignoring your emails, he hates them.
Hey, sorry man. I’ll look through the emails tomorrow. I get SO many emails and there’s only the one of me.
Hi Ben. Yes, if only every neighborhood had a Lyle / Psionic Audio😊
like your cat paul
Thanks twelvemeister 👍. He sends his regards 😊
Such lovely playing and for me every episode is a school day, thank you for that. I hope you do not mind me asking, but what is the rhythm chord progression you played switching from the Jazzer to the Strat at about 2.27min in? I am due you a Costa
Wouldn’t it have been great and a surprise to us all…..on that Status Quo mention….to burst into Big Fat Mamma…….🙈🥃
I’m smiling! That would have been funny 🤣
Since E and B are both in the same key of E, F looking like the “outlier”, I would say that what you played at 20:30 - 20:41 looks like a fragment of E7b9: E (root), B (5th), F (b9). 😊 Why a Suzuki? Why not a Zoe ZE50 (range of at least 200 miles)? That would get your students to drive EVs. I guess it’s not the same price though, around £10k used.
Thanks for the info on the chords Nick 👍. As regards the Zoe….. yeah, I’ve always quite liked the look of them. But my driving school car has to double up as both a school car AND my personal transport for my road trips up the highlands….. And so I think I’d get stranded somewhere 🤣
Did not see cat in video. Not impressed. Great playing though!
Yes, the cat’s not happy either, I promised him a cameo appearance 🤣. Cheers dver
Click bait ! Theres no cats here lol !
Yeah, the cat’s not happy either, I promised him a cameo role 🤣. Cheers for watching.
