As a new mom myself, my biggest advice is take your baby on walks as soon as you get home! It really jump started her circadian rhythm and we never had any issues with her days and nights being reversed because she was so exposed to sunlight.
We also don’t let her nap in darkness and that helped as well. Sleep is NECESSARY as new parents and just having your baby recognize the difference between night and day makes every other thing that comes with a baby so much easier! Good luck guys! You’re going to be GREAT parents ❤❤

Sounds like such a great plan guys, well done for doing what feels right. Having kids is such a monumentally incredible life shift on every level and we’re excited for you both. We’re renovating a farm into a homestead in northern Portugal with our two little boys (Crusoe who is nearly two, and Sawyer who’s nine weeks old) and we’d love to connect as we share so much in our visions for our children and lives! I like to tell you that I've been watching the both of you for a while and I wanted to tell you thank you, back in April I had surgery on my foot lost all my toes on my left foot the only reason I'm telling you your channel has helped me a lot it's helping me relax my mind and help me forget for a minute or two about thinking about my foot so thank you and congratulations on your pregnancy God will protect you I pray for you every night for both of you

Im so happy to hear you re moving to Brighton! Im a mama living here too and i can tell you i feel so blessed to have such a lovely community since i first moved here and found out i was pregnant! it was easier than other communities i imagine because of how open and diverse it is. Be prepared for cold and sadly a lot of Brighton properties are pretty damp so as attractove the old character properties with fireplace might be, you might want to be open to consider also some of the new builts that are nice and warm and will guarantee more safety and security. I had to move out of one and im now finding myself really missing what they provided us with! even though i do have a garden we can enjoy. Its a tough trade! Either way i know you guys will make it a success!! exciting! xx

That sapling that you didn't know at the start of video is a breadfruit tree - beautiful and yummy if you know how to cook it and dip in freshly squeezed coconut cream (from a real coconut). Plant a tree now and it will be big in 3 to 4 years - its tropical and everything grows fast.
It's great to hear more about your plans and how flexible you both are in life. I think the baby being born in the UK makes sense with the NHS and generally cheaper private health care. Couldn't help but laugh when hearing Louis say he wants your boy to have an english accent, I had not thought about that before, but I could imagine it would be weird to have a child that sounds nothing like yours haha

I'm 66 years old and have always dreamed of living in a treehouse for the same reasons you gave. Tarzan and Swiss Family Robinson treehouses are so cool!
Years ago we had an epic 3 level play treehouse built for our daughter. It was great!
So so excited for you guys. Sounds like a fantastic life balance whilst balancing a new baby. We built our own place in Margaret River Western Australia when I was pregnant and moved in to a half built home when our girl was four weeks old. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. She’s 26 now but wish I had been more settled whilst trying to navigate being a new mum.

I live on the third story of a house and the trees are surrounding all my windows....so it feels like living in the trees ...what a wonderfully warm place! Hope you will be very happy there in the future. Glad you made the decision to live in a more comfortable place with your baby. Glad you are both so flexible and go with the flow of life.

It´s nice to hear that you are flexible; a lot of things will change once the baby is born. I am from south America and I live in Europe, the many kilometers away from my family never had the weight it has now once I have a child. My mom's heart cheers for you guys to find a good life in Europe with an I don´t know B&B in Costa Rica? I feel that is so important to be around grandparents, but maybe I am just old school and you guys will find an amazing way to do this while pursuing your dream.
We don't live in an actual tree house, but our house is built partway up a hill, it overlooks a ton of really big old maple trees in the front, and the builder put in a big window facing the ferny forest behind us, so we always say we feel like we're living in a tree house. You can definitely create the vibe of tree house living without actually living in a tree. LOVE that park! That park would have been a dream when I was little, give me a comfy cushion and a good book as a kid and I would have been in heaven.
So depending on how big Callie is, toddler sweatshirts are awesome and sometimes cheaper than dog sweaters. Just cut or roll up the cuffs. So excited to see your adventures in the UK!

How exciting! And Brighton is just a short 30 minute flight from Jersey - a gorgeous gem in the Channel Islands and well worth a long weekend visit! (The beaches are very child friendly, and we're getting there slowly with the vegan food!) ☀🏝🌱

Welcome to Brighton! My son is born & raised in Brighton. At 16 he is thriving.
Of course, tree houses are great. Keep an eye out for an almond tree such as the ones that grow in the Bahamas. They regularly out out 4/5 branches in different directions every 3-4 feet so it's easy to make a hexagonal floor at the same level. Hearing a little bit of reggae was great. It helped me imagine living there too. Reggae and Ethiopian Archives, founded 1980

Would love to see a video on the visa process for you all to the UK. Being an American who is planning to marry a British person, it seems a bit difficult to navigate and would love to see what options you two have and what the process is like.
I know Raya also had Bulgarian citizenship, it would have been easy back with the UK was in the EU since you could easily live anywhere... but I think the process of moving to the UK with an EU citizenship is still easier (especially because she is married to a UK citizen)
I think since Louis is a UK citizen and they are married there shouldn’t be an issue. At least I do hope that for them! 😊
@@sarahleible6575 even being married, it’s still a hard process and you can’t just move to the UK and then apply for residence even if you are married to a citizen sadly. This is a problem my partner and I are currently dealing with, we’re lucky enough to also be travelers, but will need to leave the country to get married, then apply for my residence before we can come back in legally to live and not just on tourism for the 6 month allowance.

A better safer collar is called a Martingale Limited Slip small dogs use a 3/8" or 5/8" nylon. Stays loose until you tighten. A chain choke is for best leash training because you are there, My dog died wearing a chain when loose a vine got stuck in links caused it to choke and she was suffocated. I now use the limited slip collar on Rottie's Dobe's to little Italian Grayhounds.

Brighton is great place for children to grow-up, I know I grew up there, I had a wonderful childhood. Gatwick airport is not far away, horrible day just take a plane to a sunnier place. Why not locate in mid-Sussex, nice village feel and quick drive up to London if needed.

Hello love and greetings to you both. I just wanted to say I live in Northern US half of the year and when winter comes we live in Puerto Rico for the other half of the year. My children are 9 and 13 and we home school them. They love their lives here on the beach in PR like you said they connect with nature walk to the beach everyday and even fall asleep listening to the waves. In the north in the city is much different... but their internet is much better 😆. Congratulations on your decision to give your family an epic life 🥰.
Great decision. My son was born in London and the plan was never to leave the UK, but life changes and we are back in Portugal, but I think it's a great decision on your part. Btw Cali is lovely 💕
