Same I love them they're wonderful I'm just wondering how I can possibly get involved in this community I mean I think it will be perfect for my children my family I mean I'm in love
One thing I missed is community. Growing up in Chicago I was lucky to live in a neighborhood where everyone was there for each other. For the longest as kids I actually thought the "aunties and uncles" next door were actually family. Though we didn't live in nature but a urban area we still had a community. Now as an adult it seems lost and disconnected. This seems like someone took my childhood and turn it up a notch or two đđŸđđœ

I'm curious if Raya would address how she feels about moving to another country/culture so quickly after finally becoming a U.S. citizen? I know that was so important to her.

This makes me so happy because I remember Louis being one of the first people I was following on here when I first discovered CZcams 11 or so years ago. So I remember how he was back then and him saying living in a tree house one day is his dream and all that.
To see him travel the world all these years and while doing so finding a person that shares that dream - which is quite specific tbh - and to watch him grow and to see them now buying this land and fulfilling this dream is just the absolute best thing.

Good Luck with your plan. But, if you start a community of people, even eco-minded people, you also bring the social issues of living in the city. People have different ideas of what is eco-minded. You're basically planning a type of commune. You would be wise to study what caused various communes to fail in the past. It's usually political differences.
Thank you for saying this. Was looking for comments like this. This seems all utopian but there is inherit whiteness and colonialism in this.
I think community living is not for everyone. I love having my own space and not having to decide based on other peopleâs opinion on what I want to do. It limits your freedom and dreams. Not for me.

I do wish them all the best. But I feel uncomfortable when someone says I want to live in a community with people who have the same values - I want to pick my neighbours. It does sound open minded to be excited for having a community with people from all over the world - it might seem very open and tolerant. But it will only ever be people of a certain social backround. Very privileged. - - I am glad though that Louis is talking about learning Spanish to connect with the locals. - Another point that worries me is that both of them have their families and many friends very far away in the world which means there will be regular travelling by plane. - Which really contradicts the ecofriendly life they are promoting. - It seems like a life in a holiday resort. - But, I must admit, I am very interested in the whole process of housebuilding and will for sure follow along.
@@solvisionx9965 I agree with your point regarding their friends and families. This is a very long time in the making, even before he started his CZcams life if I recall. Also land in another country was always the plan as well. I canât remember they were considering originally but I Know it wasnât where they are planning it.
YOOO been watching you guys since 2013-2014 and Louis has been talking about this since then. Even since Louis did his jungle room as a kid. Man this is so inspiring to see, love this guys. Really interested to see how this journey goes!

So interested in what the people do for income in the community? Especially those there for the long term who maybe donât have online platforms like CZcams etc!
well if you grow your own food, what else do you need money for?
@@ZairaBandyWhat about healthcare, electricity, propane or gas to cook, clothing, gas for the car, traveling back and forth, etc? I think between all of their channels they make enough money not to worry about money at this point. But, what do people do to make money other than social media? Either they all saved a boat load of money to live there for years off the savings. Or, they work in the bigger towns around them! Itâs not for the faint of heart đ Iâm sure!

Iâm so happy to see youâre following your dreams and going for the most peaceful and eco friendly way to live but I canât help but feel saddened by the fact that these communities are populated by Europeans/North Americanâs who can afford to buy these plots and develop their âcommunitiesâ yet the natives are pushed from this way of living
Iâm not sure if you watched the video but 25% of the lots are actually reserved for Costa Rican families and there were different rates for locals. Also, every other webinar intro to the community is hosted in Spanish to make this accessible to people from all over central and South America. There will truly be such a huge mix of countries represented in this community!

Despite the cultural and racial diversity of the community, it also doesn't seem like it will be open for any socioeconomic diversity within the next century or two
