I LOVED Downton Abby. It’s not suspenseful or complicated. Its just simple and wholesome. Really easy to watch. And the characters are really lovable 🥰

I am 31 and been feeling like this since I was like 18 and read pride and prejudice for the first time! Haha and Downtown Abbey is my favourite TV show of all times! You guys will absolutely love it!! Think Raya would have loved Bath, not sure of you guys had the chance to pass by but it is an incredible town
Downton Abbey series is addictive...once you start watching it and learning the characters...you can't stop! and then there's 2 movie sequels! You're gonna love it! Thank you for sharing the awesome travels vlogs, so many beautiful and historical places...it's amazing

As someone who grew up in a small cotswold hamlet, it was boring as all hell. They're really picturesque to visit and sure when you're older they can preferable to a city or seaside town, but if you're thinking about raising a child in a town like this, just be prepared to drive every where, drive them to meet their friends, drive them to school and back, drive them everywhere

🦉 There is also a 3rd way of Enjoying Harry Potter, and that’s is with the audiobooks read by Stephen Fry. That is a whole experience in itself as the voices he does for the characters is amazing. I highly highly recommend listening to them 👍👌
Don’t miss any of the Downton Abbey series and watch all the movie sequels too. I think it will be one of those types that you will enjoy rewatching in years to come.

Raya, I am 50 and I love HP too. And you are sooooo right! The books and the movies are both fantastic and so very different. Books are open to interpretation. Movies, not so much. Thanks for taking us to Hogwarts with you.

I am 75 and went to the UK to study in the 60's. I loved every day I spent in the little villages and pubs. Now I am a US retiree living in Ecuador. Life takes you on mysterious journeys.

I got the chills when you first showed the Hogwarts hall at Gloucester cathedral. Worked at the library through the years that the books came out and got to witness the excitement of all the kids, as well as the excitement of my own 2 children.

YES! I am 31 and love those small cozy villages in the middle of nature. That's why i was attracted to Poland. It's full of hidden secrets. Like Muszyna or Kazimierz Dolny.. Kraków even feels like a village sometimes. So much history in Poland! My dad visited me last week and we went on a motorbike trip through small roads, villages and hills. Amazing! I know you've been to Poland briefly but you have to come back and experience more 🥰🥰 It's perfect for your overflowing hearts ❤ thank you for sharing your abundance and pure energy again 🤗

Last week I discovered a vlogger that lives in the cotswalds and I have been obsessed ever since! She tends to her beautiful home and garden everyday and wears long flowy floral dresses and had a fabulous life. To my surprise YOU made this vlog and now I’m extra obsessed with the English county side! 😍
You made me quite emotional because I visited those same villages four years ago with my hubby, who passed away just before Christmas. It’s true - we are blessed with a homeland of incredible beauty.

Harry Potter was a big part of my childhood too. I was 14 when the last book came out and I think 19 for the last movie. I remember as a 10/ 11 year old going to Gloucester Cathedral with my parents on holiday, the magic was real. So lovely to see Raya experiencing the same magic years later.
When I was 16 I went to Rocamadour, France. Tiny little village at the bottom of a mountain. Just amazingly beautiful and picturesque. I've always loved old architecture and quiet villages. They are usually better than most big touristy cities.
Raya I loved what you said about the books and movies. I love them both with my whole heart and I feel like if you compare them you can’t fully enjoy them each for what they are. If you have expectations for the movie to be just like the book you’ll be disappointed. Super big Harry Potter fan ☺️

We have visited these beautiful little towns in the Cotswolds and it was def one of the big highlights of our trip.As I've said before, your travel vlogs are just so wonderful and full of magic in the way you describe everything. Loved this , Iv spent many a time in those lovely villages. You should go to Highclere Castle, Newbury, it’s not far from where you are , it’s where they filmed Downtown Abbey. I loved the series and the funny One liners scripted to Dame Maggie Smith… plus try Go to Harry Potter studios Watford. Magical.

My husband visited the same Cotswold villages that you did in the 1990’s and they have not changed very much. They are very beautiful, it is hard to imagine living there, the villages all look like they were built just for tourists, which of course they weren’t. Keep watching Downton Abbey, you will enjoy it.

I am enjoying this trip so much. I am UK born and have lived here all my life but have never visited the Cotswolds. I dream of retiring there but as a 60 year old the most I can hope for is a holiday cottage and huge dreams. I watched your journey to Costa Rica and my anxiety was through the roof. It’s so lovely to see a calmer magical journey that Raya can relax in too. I can’t wait for all your blogs on this trip. X

I'm 25 and have always loved the old timey historic villages in Europe. My mom is German and dad American. I live in the US but my mom and I visit Germany every couple of years together to visit family. I started going when I was 10 and if I don't get there about every two years I long for it. It's been going on 4 years since I was there last due to covid and military life with my husband. I've missed it so much and can't wait until I can go back. My mom is going without me in two weeks and I'm so jealous 😩. I've been studying German nearly every day for the past year so I will finally get to have a conversation with my Oma and Opa. We've talked before but usually brief things that we can understand or things translated between my mom and Aunt. I can't wait to surprise them.

Interesting fact about Upper Slaughter. There's no war memorial. Everyone from there returned home from both wars which is pretty unusual for British villages
Omg you’re going to LOVE downton abbey! Ahhh so amazing!!! You just have to get past the first few episodes to really get into it… because there are so many characters, the character development and figuring out all the plot lines takes a bit of time … it’s SO worth it! I love the commentary on how social issues were changing and how much it delves into important personal issues that are still relevant today.
I think you should watch Downton Abbey, a friend of mine told me to watch it but I postponed watching it because I thought I might not like it, so I finally got around to watching it and I love it!❤
You will totally LOVE Downton Abbey. I didn't really like period dramas before but this made me fall in love with this genre. And you are in the perfect place to start watching this.

Oh Raya, I agree with everything you said about Harry Potter. I have to admit I’ve struggled recently with some of Jo Rowling’s views, but I have to remind myself that she is human and clearly uneducated on some topics but I am still thankful for these books that she created, that got me through some dark times. I love your channel and these UK vlogs are amazing!

Definitely see Durham. I really love the way you are enjoying this trip through the countryside. I lived in England for almost six years in the 80s and 90's, and loved every day almost as much as you did the Cotswold's.

You'd love Portugal dos Pequeninos in Portugal, 'cause it's exactly what Raya described she wanted to do on the little model village as a kid. It's a place in Coimbra with tiny houses, some are known portuguese atractions where kids can play around!

You will LOVE Downton Abby, especially since you are in the area. Definitely start from the beginning as it is a progressive story. You will end up bing watching it as I did.
