    I’m from the UK, and I used to love getting into computers when I was a teenager to 20s, but kinda got stuck outside with other jobs. Now I’m near mid 30s I decided to take an IT technician course so I’m trying to properly understand things and some of it feels scary at times 😂 but I’m glad I found this video. Helps me be a bit more calmer to what I should expect on my first days when I get into this properly. Thanks

    Sounds sorta like my orientation years ago, but I just work in a grocery store. For me that was 25 years ago,. I've basically used computers since the 1980's and had to deal with customers since the 1990's.
    I need a career change and going to start studying for the A+ cert so that once I get a help desk job I wont go in blindly. Hopefully I'll transition well. The thought of setting up computers sounds interesting and I really want a less physical and more paying job going forward.
    I even just recently decided to change my mourning routine to help. I'll walk and jog in the mourning then study for the A+ cert for a few hours before I have to go into work each day and only play my game on my days off.
    That will be a huge change for me because the reason I stayed with my company this long is because I basically just gamed for 4 hours every morning before going to work, but now I'm really in need of a career change.

    thanks for sharing your experience and helping us out! kind of a weird question but is it ridiculous to go into your first day and take notes with a pen and paper as the supervisor is showing me around? Or should I be using my phone to put the notes into an app? Thanks for you time!

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 Před 7 měsíci +1

      I think it depends on the company/supervisor. If in doubt, ask. If you're own your phone taking notes and don't tell them, they may assume you're doing something else on your phone.

    • @Jamesytech22
      @Jamesytech22  Před 7 měsíci +3

      @@JJFlores197 Really agree with this statement ^ I would probably do pen and paper to be safe. Since it would be in my eyes more respectful to listen and take notes physically than on a phone which like JJ said can look like you're doing other things.

    • @Jamesytech22

      ITF maybe but I would go for the A+ to be honest. If you're not confident maybe do the Google IT Professional certification it has good coursework and will teach you the things you need to know for the A+. Goodluck!

      @Jamesytech22  Před 6 měsíci

      You can find jobs online. Most of the time, a certification or some sort of IT experience is expected when applying. I would get something like the A+ or better to get an IT help desk job.

    wich website is best to get training for IT help desk?

    • @Jamesytech22
      @Jamesytech22  Před 4 měsíci

      Hmm that’s very broad but if you want a full course then Google’s IT Support Professional has a free trial. The A+ cert has to
      do with basic computer knowledge that’s used in help desk.

  • @Malitubee

    • @Jamesytech22
