Hi I’m Meg. I started my fitness journey 10 years ago with the goal of completing a half marathon. Since then it’s evolved from CrossFit to bodybuilding to powerlifting to general strength training with some conditioning. I’ve learned a lot since then, and I’ve become an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, Precision Nutrition L1 Coach, Certified Pre- & Postnatal Coach, USAPL Certified Club Coach, and I’m Safe Sport Certified.

What you said about your body changing for Emerald really just changed my perspective on my own body. I've had such bad problems with my appearance and that really resonated with me. We really made humans like that. We made teeth, nails, fingers, hands, hair, like...we DID THAT! I'm so glad that I found you in 2021 when I tried SBTD just for fun, and then loved it. It's the first thing fitness-wise I've been able to commit to for THIS long (two years this May 🥰). This is really reaaaally cheesy, but I've never known really what to look for in an idol, but you're honestly it. You're so human and honest and helpful, I just really appreciate all the love and care that you put into the things you do. Can't wait to see what 2023 brings you guys!!!

I have four kids. Yesterday I watched the video of our last son being born via C-section for the first time. My entire perspective of myself changed. It’s a very freeing feeling. Just going into the gym and enjoying the lifting journey vs frustration with your body. Thanks for sharing this video!

Such a sweet video! I did 1:1 coaching (remotely) with you and Ryan from 2017 to 2019 (1,5 years!), and I look back at that time as some of the most fun I've ever had with movement and strength training. Although I was a vegan back then and had no knowledge about protein, so looking back at my numbers from that time is ... sheesh. Embarrassing. 😂 I really enjoy being a part of your journey, through social media, coaching, and now SBTD. And thank you, always, for being such a big part of mine. ❤

My goals for 2023 are to do SBTD (at least 3 workouts per week), jog once a week, and eat a salad for lunch. I started with the salads this week! I have a 5 month old baby and you inspired me to get a jogging stroller so I'm working on that now.
Amazing video! I’m coming back to fitness after a 12 year gap. Eating disorder recovery, 4 babies and a huge weight gain now. I’m so thrilled you released this video bc I needed it yesterday! I’ve been watching you and others and kicking myself for not looking a certain way anymore or losing all of my fitness. Seeing this pictures is THEE first time in my 40 yrs, that it dawned on me that it’s normal for your body to change and that is ok. I had my 4th baby this past Mother’s Day weekend and I would not trade my babies for the best body in the world. I can understand now that my 40 yr old body will look different in 1, 2 and 5 yrs but it won’t look like it did pre babies. That’s ok. Oh my. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’ve been killing myself for weeks bc “I’ve got to gain muscle” and it’s hurting my body in not a good way; I’m trying to force myself to lift like I did when I was 26 with no children that needed my full attention. Lol! Sometimes you need perspective and you have it to me. Your maternity and mom pictures are stunning, btw. Ty! Truly… Ty! ❤
Motherhood is tough you got this it’s absolutely ok to get heathy for yourself , your kids will love it and follow suit ..

Can't believe how quickly the years roll by! I randomly viewed your CZcams about your journey into powerlifting during Christmas 2017 and committed to STBD in August 2018! Opened up the whole other side of the gym for me, and my schedule was no longer locked into class times. I haven't looked back since. Into my 50s and never felt better. Thank you!

My fitness goal this year is to compete in another Spartan race. There's one here in NTX in October. You should consider it! I'm thinking the Super which takes about the same energy expenditure as a half marathon . Stronger by the Day is a big part of my training plan to get there!
My 2023 fitness goal - is the same every year - be able to do pullups. I really struggle to stay consistent with working on these😅! Been here since the road to 300! You have been a huge inspiration to me over the years and it has been a joy to watch your journey. All the best in 2023!

I was there since the first video you did with Maxx. I was a powerlifter for two years already and I felt like there was no young female lifters to relate to and then you were in Maxx's video and I've watched all of your videos since!

Do you tend to follow the same programming of Stronger by the day for your personal workouts? You mentioned you're not interested in powerlifting as much right now, so do you structure your training differently? I'm always interested to learn about different styles of training and why/what those different styles enhance. Would you classify Stronger by the Day as more powerlifting focused or does it tend to very depending on the cycle? Thank you for showing your journey through fitness!
I do follow Stronger by the Day for my personal workouts. With the occasional substitutions depending on how I'm feeling that week, or if I'm working on something specific (like when I was training for the ACFT). What I meant when I said that I'm not interested in powerlifting right now, was specifically regarding competing again. I get asked if I plan on competing in powerlifting again all the time and that's just not really on my radar currently.
I would classify Stronger by the Day as a strength training program. It depends on the cycle, but we are always focused on strength regardless.

Running in 40 degree weather is amazing. It’s actually optimal…your body isn’t trying to fight cooling itself down. Try it, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it much more than running the heat!

That the amount of fake tan affects results says something about the negative aspects of bodybuilding competition. The sport has become a grotesque parody which probably shortens lifespans. It's all about health compromising chemical shortcuts to achieve an appearance which for most people is indicative of a poor state of health anyway.
A missed opportunity to utilize the term “Megsplained”
