Hi, I’m Jodie and I live near Melbourne, Australia. I’m early stage cirrhosis and currently in a clinical trial that’s looking at the use of an infusion of amnion cells (from the amniotic sacs of newborn babies) to protect and calm the inflammation of the liver so it can regenerate itself. I’ve had one infusion and will be going into hospital in a couple of days for my second and last infusion. I’m the 8th patient out of 12 in the world to have this done. I’m very blessed and thankful to have been chosen to be apart of this. I feel better and am so hopeful that this clinical trial is a success. I just wanted you to know that in my little part of the world we are working hard so that, hopefully, one day people will no longer have to wait for transplants and livers will have the environment to regenerate and heal. Until then I will continue to be apart of as many trials as I can to help cirrhosis sufferers. Sending you lots of prayers and hugs, and I hope your transplant happens as soon as possible. I’m also trying to recover from 6 yrs of being ill, not as serious as yours but I have an idea what it feels like to be sick 24/7. I’m much older. You are so young, I pray for you to be healed, so happy you have a family to help. If love alone could heal you’d already be there.🙏❤️
The body keeps rejecting the new liver it hapoeness from time to time they give drugs to stop the the body from rejecting the new liver but some times the drugs don't work hope that helps all the best

Many prayers 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 for you getting a new liver very soon. I’m supposing that a new liver has to be as near a genetic match to you as possible - but maybe not, I don’t know. If it does need matching, it might be that there’s none yet available that suit your genetics. You sound sleepy, so I hope you’re getting enough rest and not overextending your body. At least at home you have love and support! x
I have a question. You said in a previous video that you were diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease when you were younger, which prompted your first liver transplant. What prompted the second liver transplant?
@@NinasHere4U it’s actually from Primary sclerosing cholangitis due to Crohn’s disease, I believe. I did some research and liver transplant is the only “cure” but can recur in transplanted liver.
Since I am new to your website, I have no many many questions ! Other than your extreme tiredness, what are your physical symptoms ? Where ARE you ? Is your hospital an excellent one for you ? How many years have you had cirrhosis ? ( My A1C is 7.1 as of Friday ). Did your cirrhosis start with alcohol ? Mine came from my diabetes. Itching ? Okay.......when does THAT begin ? I had a friend who used a hospital over in Birmingham, Alabama, several years ago. What is your name ? You sound Southern ! I am from Atlanta. How is your wife’s support group ? When I am more progressed, my hospital will/is Emory Hospital in Atlanta. So far, I have my MRI’s are every 6 months, to be sure it has not turned into cancer. I have told all of my doctors’ that if it DOES, that I will NOT take chemo.......to give me pain pills and send me home. Of course, my biggest prayer is that since the rapture is expected just any day, that I will be raptured before much longer. Ohhhhhh, I pray that YOU and your whole family are Christians ! My days consist of taking my pills, getting my meals, and then back to bed, to snuggle down with my cats. I love to see my family come over, but honestly, they wear me out so much ! God bless you and keep you in the Palm of His Hand.

What is the cause or diagnosis? I have PSC and life is hell some days.
