- feeling a lot better today. I got a got of rest last night. from about 3pm yesterday until 6am today I slept.
my MELD score came back 39 today. out of 40! there is no one higher than me on the list;however , the l I be had to be prestine with enough slack to connect it and the right blood type etc. it's not as easy as just grabbing the next a+ liver.
should be sooner than later. that's the thought around here at least. love you guys,!!
Lord, please help this gentleman today with the good news of the liver he needs. You are such an inspiration with a sweet demeanor and positive outlook! Praying for you every day!

No he doesn't. His eyes say it all. You may say this when he gets his liver. Though, even after that he has to recuperate. He is not a child. I am sur he can handle the truth and stay strong. You need to be told the truth when you are dieing. He will pull threw if he eats right and doesn't do drugs or drink with his new liver.

Praying they get the call today for you! I was at a 40 both times and 1A National at University of Chicago. I’m hoping you get the okay for transplant here in the next few days! Keep up the faith. You look a whole lot better than your last video. Being in the hospital is rough anyway, but during Covid it has been especially terrible. I had a bowel obstruction last July and was in for 3 days and the isolation is terrible.
And I know exactly what shoulder/chest pain you are talking about. 😩 it is so creepy and deep. I only had 1 thoracentesis and I am very happy I never have had another. You are a warrior!!!!

Hey Justin. So glad you are feeling some better today. Hang in there, that liver is coming! Just take it one day at a time.That's what I tried to tell myself through a year of strong chemo. I know what it's like to have liters of fluid drained off too. Hang on until you get that liver and then all this can become a distant memory! I am praying for you every day!!💕💕
Just remember the liver has to be right for you and a good one. Sad as it is someone has to die for you to live. My son was at deaths door literally. Today he is living his best life 6 months out and removed off the kidney list. Keep your chin up it will happen.

I just got out of a 4 day “vacation” at the hospital. I have conditions that have me hospitalized a lot. I have a hospital “go bag” where it has a phone charger and long cord to I can reach it in bed, one set of pajamas, socks, 2 pair underwear, toiletries. Basically anything you would put in a overnight bag, but I make sure that I bring my own skid proof socks because I hate the hospital ones. I have a small blanket that I bring and it makes me feel more normal. I have a small photo frame that has pics of my husband and my girls in. Just stuff like that, and it all fits in a string bag.
Anyways, I hope you liver team meeting went well. Can’t wait for an update!

I need to do that! The long cord is literally a lifeline! I know what he means when he said a Hospital stay is a mixed bag. So true. I hate having to go so much that I could cry when an ambulance drives by and I think of the poor person inside! Every time I pray for them so they won't hurt so much and maybe pass out before they get there. Honest to God! Wake up in a bed with all the "stuff" done. If that isn't bad enough! May God be with him. If we pray enough and those who don't pray send a mantra and/or good thoughts it will help.

Justin, I came across your channel yesterday. So many things I would like to say, but just not sure how to say them. Your vid today really struck a chord with me...especially the part about keeping occupied. I know you are ill, in pain, and struggling, but I want to ask you this question. How can we...your CZcams viewers...help you and others like you who are in a similar situation with the spirits or boredom? Since many of us are miles away from you, how can we help you stay occupied, keep up your spirits, and/or give you the human contact that every person needs but may not be able to get due to medical limitations. Man, I feel for you. There HAS to be something we can do for you and others to help keep spirits up. Please tell me your thoughts and ideas from your perspective. Hang tough man! Know you have friends all over this country and world...but please, share with us your ideas. Let's see if we can make something happen to help you stay a little occupied. Thoughts are with you Justin!!
Could we send him better lego sets? Not like the Chinese one. Things he likes whether it's building a big plane or helicopter or something like that? If his wife could set up a PO Box we could send him things :)

It has to be rough to go through this and be stuck in a hospital with limited interactions. Might we be able to do some type of virtual interactions for people like Justin? I own a technology company, so I know what is possible...just not sure if that is something for which they would like to have access.

Obviously not all at once, would have to be in groups, but maybe that small gift of 15-20 mins of everyone's time, could really help him! Just an idea, not sure what other ways there would be. Do you have any ideas in mind?
