He's really hung up on eating 3 times a day. That's the secret when you give up carbohydrates, in all of their forms: you just don't eat nearly a much, as often. Your carbon footprint will ultimately be much less when you aren't eating a 'balanced variety' of plants grown and flown from temperate regions. We've come a long way from 'livestock's long shadow', where most of the environmental 'numbers' came from.

If you have legit acid reflux problems, the last thing you want to do is a high carbohydrate diet.

@@CaladcholgI had acid reflux for years and now 💯 Plant-base and no more coughing after eating, dry reaching. It was also dairy, milk ice cream was the worst.

I am a type 1 diabetic who needs to avoid carbs or my glucose levels leaps up, I can't see how I can go vegan?

Don't, this is a propaganda piece, not actual health advice.

@@Caladcholg I had no intention of doing so but I put a question mark by mistake so it looked as if I am less adamant than I am. I tried it many years ago because my boyfriend ate vegan but my health slid steadily downhill despite B12 jabs until I ate meat again.

@Dormices yeah, your question mark did throw me (or not being able to see you roll your eyes in person XD). There is so much to 'food' than 'nutrients' that we simply don't know.
