When can you get a look up on the foods and their AGEs
its so sad this is not main stream topics of discussion
This very important knowledge about the really life enhancing effekts of whole food plant based diets needs to be told and used as much as possible in every culture - and it would be a wonderfull transformation 🙏🎶🌺🌸♥️
Any way of measuring ages ?
Exercise regularly to get rid of them faster 42:25
I’m curious about how AGES affect people differently. My godmother always seared and fried, she has great skin few age spots and a very firm skin for someone over 60 years old. I have more wrinkles than her at age 32 and melasma to go with that. Observing different people with their diet and lifestyle we’re not all affected the same so Im wondering if this could be due to how we detox, process these AGES? Could it be mindset as well? It would be interesting to see studies with people that have good health and skin and that also broiled and fried their food throughout their lifetime to see research what happens. Just something that comes to my mind when I see people doing all the “wrong” stuff yet look gorgeous and im here doing more than most yet have many issues! 🫣
Gut bacteria influence exogenous AGEs absorption.
Thanks for having Dr. Klapper!! 🥬🤸♀️👍
1:33 not diabetics!
56:36 your inching closer and closer 🫡. Edit: 1:01:44 and there's the crux. As tempting as it is, we truly need to uncouple disciplines and keep our focus crystal clear when it comes to nutrtion, animal rights, and the environment. CAFO'S are bad for health, the environment and animal rights; the only ones who truly benefit are the corporations operating at every stage of production. But hey late-stage capital and private equity, amirite -_-.
This whole A.G.E.S. Foundation primary focus increasingly seems to be purposeful confusion about endogenous vs. exogenous advance glycerin ends products. They are not the same thing and are a huge contributor to this 'confusion' you keep mentioning.
He's really hung up on eating 3 times a day. That's the secret when you give up carbohydrates, in all of their forms: you just don't eat nearly a much, as often. Your carbon footprint will ultimately be much less when you aren't eating a 'balanced variety' of plants grown and flown from temperate regions. We've come a long way from 'livestock's long shadow', where most of the environmental 'numbers' came from.
Good points Dr. Fahey.. regarding Most patients do not do research and/or are Not financially privileged to shop for “perfect” non HMO doctors who will have knowledge to assist with food and lifestyle improvements.
Thanks for putting this out! Very informative! ❤
Damn. Why do AGEs taste so good? Can evolution be wrong?
Are AGEs listed at 'FDA-approved flavoring' on my cookies?
Thank you for your program very educational ❤❤❤
Dr Patrick and Dr Fahey, 2 of my fav scientists.
Great Dr Klaper. Im trying to follow WFPB diet but irritated my GERD. Any suggestions?
If you have legit acid reflux problems, the last thing you want to do is a high carbohydrate diet.
Dr. Will Bulsiewicz is a great resource!
@@CaladcholgI had acid reflux for years and now 💯 Plant-base and no more coughing after eating, dry reaching. It was also dairy, milk ice cream was the worst.
@@dellisgibbs5823 100 plant-based, eh? Just be very careful and be sure to supplement with the proper pharmaceuticals.
Its super interesting, thank you!
👍👍
I am a type 1 diabetic who needs to avoid carbs or my glucose levels leaps up, I can't see how I can go vegan?
Don't, this is a propaganda piece, not actual health advice.
@@Caladcholg I had no intention of doing so but I put a question mark by mistake so it looked as if I am less adamant than I am. I tried it many years ago because my boyfriend ate vegan but my health slid steadily downhill despite B12 jabs until I ate meat again.
@Dormices yeah, your question mark did throw me (or not being able to see you roll your eyes in person XD). There is so much to 'food' than 'nutrients' that we simply don't know.
Great doctor!
Hope in the next podcast with Dr. David Turner, you could ask him about AGEs & Autophagy. As puzzle pieces falls in place for me, there should be an inverse relation between them, and maybe therefore "water fasting" exactly helps the body to get rid of these agents.
I am also curious about this. The way I see it is when you go into autophagy, everything in the cells that are being processed will be released into the system. For instance it has been discovered that the metabolic drop in people that lose a considerable amount of weight is due to a lot of pesticides trapped/"neutralised" into the fat cells are coming back into the blood and they end up with up to 400% more pesticides in the blood, affecting the thyroid. So maybe its safer to longerm reduce AGEs consumed instead
Is it possible to destroy AGEs in the body by fasting?
"Once AGEs have formed on tissues and organs it is irreversible so fasting cannot destroy AGEs that are already formed. However, healthy fasting does reduce our exposure to AGEs as we do not consume as many of them through diet." - Dr. Turner
@@Foodnerdinc Doctor Berg claims that autophagy can destroy AGEs: czcams.com/video/vhmtoAYVRSo/video.html
cholestrol scared for many years now it found to be irrelavent. Now AGEs. Don't worry about these hoaxes. Eat low carb diet and high fat diet for good health.
Great lecture, more people need to be aware of AGE’s.
Awesome,thank you for this !
No one ever talks about the fact that most blue zone cultures live near the ocean. Clean ocean air is a big deal
And seafood
What about micro greens????
Adding various microgreens to your diet is an incredible way increase phytonutrients density and diversity.
Great to have discovered your channel, great content thank you for creating and sharing it
And thank you Jed for your life’s work and continued contributions to humanity
Thank you so very much for watching, we are so happy you found value in this insightful chat with Dr. Fahey!
Man I love Jed, just had some frozen broccoli sprouts I grew with banana, the best
Thank you for this. I wish more people had the knowledge that fish get their omega's from algae so it just makes sense to go directly to the source. Why don't physicians suggest this? I think if most humans knew there is less risk for contamination they would opt for organic algal oil. Also benefits the planet by bypassing contributing to the oceans demise and cruelty to all marine life species - few people realize their beloved dolphin, sea turtles and sea lions (to name just a few) are common bycatch that suffer due to gill nets. I also consume a lot of flax, hemp, chia and walnut for omegas. Also, it would be great if you could break this down into segments for quick viewing :)
Massive Disagree with Fahey on vegetarian diets. He spreads ideology there not science.
Totally agree
I had a grandmother who lived to be 106. She had pork chops and kefir with her eggs every morning. Very little greens except for cabbage and beets. Lots of lard and butter and rye bread. Chicken every Sunday.
It's sugar that is limited in most blue zones. Any sugar eaten is consumed with a high fiber meal.
great grand parent died at 100, due to broken hip (no chronic disease), he just ate vegetarian meal (not so fancy one just broken wheat, lentil, rice and vege + ofc milk tea) 3 times a day, in limit, spend most of his time outside and was quite skinny. SO i think, diet has to do litlle, till people are not over eating, and eating non processed food and living active lifestyle.
mad cuz fact
Love it
Thanks for this quick breakdown - great info. Sprouts forever!! 🥰
I eat at least 1 big bowl of assorted sprouts per day and will add more as time goes on. As we know the nutrition value is over whelming
