      I also just rewatched T1 & T2 the other day and they're still my favourite movies of all time.
      But my girlfriend that watched it with me. It was her first time seeing both of the movies. And I had not revealed anything to her plot-wise about the movies. She isn't a big movie watcher and she hadn't heard the Terminator movies in the past. The only thing that she knew was that the first two were my favourite movies.
      And boy let me tell you, she was TOTALLY blown away by the films! At first, she was scared and disturbed by T-800 in the first film. But after seeing the T-800 transformed into the protector of John Conor, she was absolutely speechless! It was a real joy for me to watch her reactions on the first viewing of these amazing films. It was a good Sunday hehe.

    The first Termimator is one of the most incredible movies ever created. It is a dark, dystopian, film-noir love story. When I first watched it as a kid in the 90s, I couldn't believe that a movie could be so dense and frightening. Brad Fiedel's soundtrack gives me goosebumps whenever I listen to it, feels almost like the termimator is near. This film is a piece of art, and while I can certainly understand why people love T2 so much (I do as well), the first one will always suck me in to its world a lot more.

    • @jeffk1722
      @jeffk1722 Před 4 lety +5

      It's terrific, and I like Reese's flashback scenes in particular. My only issue is that we don't much see how Reese reacts to the 80s pre-apocalypse world. Growing up in a hellish world, it seemed he would have been more emotional about the differences, maybe even tempted to just stick around when he first goes to 1984. Nevertheless it's a nit-picky thing and probably not something they'd have the screen time for.

He essentially successfully switched genres on a franchise, won over the fans, made a remake, pushed the boundaries of filmmaking technology (almost all he did afterwards) and made one of the greatest action films of all time, all in one go.

T2 also has the better villain, better action, better direction, better character interactions, better acting and is just a better movie. if i ever have to make a top 5 action movie list, it'll be like this.
      1. T2

    • @JR-ju3kj
      @JR-ju3kj Před 5 lety +27

      It's still pretty heavy now but at this point, even though he has been in the United States for over fifty years, it's not something that's likely to change. I think that if he came to America when he was a child and not an adult in his twenties, he would have lost the accent by now but the accent is an accepted part of who Arnold is as an actor by now, I even think it helped with his success as an actor, that may sound a little strange to say but what I mean by that is that it made him different and stand out from other actors.
      Even James Cameron said that the famous ''I'll be back'' line from Terminator is such a memorable line because of HOW Arnold says it. If someone else said it, it doesn't have the same impact and resonance. But because of Arnold's accent, it helped make the line the iconic and memorable line it is today.
