"La Golondrina" - Yevgeny Belyaev and The Alexandrov Red Army Choir (1962)

The Mexican folk song "La Golondrina" (The Swallow) performed by Yevgeny Belyaev (tenor) and the Alexandrov Red Army Choir (with English, Spanish and Russian subtitles).
Written in 1883, by Mexican composer Narciso Serradel Sevilla, the spanish lyrics using the image of a migrating swallow to invoke sentiments of longing for home. The music for this song was used in Johnny O'Keefe's "She Wears My Ring".
Conductor - Boris Alexandrov.
This performance is a clip from the concert of the Red Army Choir at the Tchaikovsky concert Hall in Moscow.

This song is so beautiful, I am Mexican and I can't convince myself there is a better version of this song, the red army choir did a great job with this performance. I played this song at my aunt's house, she started to sing along, then she told me that she along with the rest of the family sang this song when my grandfather passed and they took his corpse away, it would be so lovely if the red army choir could do a full version, but this is more than enough
