This is the clip from the musical TV-show of the artist "Russian Song, Romance, Waltz", the Central Television of the USSR, 1987.
Short description of the song:
Winter. The mail troika is rushing along the frozen Volga river. The coachman, a young guy is humming some sad tune shaking his head. Then a friendly passenger asked him , why he looked so sad. And the coachman tells him his life story. He told him that he had been fallen in love for already a year. But the village headman, the infidel Tatar, scolded him all the time about it. Very soon Christmastide would come and his beloved should marry another man, rich and hateful one... And that she would never see again those beautiful days they had... The coachman told the story, stopped his troika and gave a deep sorrowful sigh...

    народ переживший страшную войну, оказался сам агрессором. и не в отношении какого - то далёкого государства, а соседа - Украины, с народом которого сражался с фашизмом. И не обвиняйте Путина, я видел как почти все нацепили георгиевские ленточки кто на грудь, кто на лобовое стекло автомобиля, а кто и на задницу, после нападения на Украину 22 февраля 2022 года. Этот позор не смыть никогда уже русскому народу и др. народам РФ. И выступление этого коллектива уже воспринимаются иначе, лицемерно и лживо.

Этот позор не смыть никогда уже русскому народу и др. народам РФ. И такие песни уже воспринимаются иначе, лицемерно и лживо.

    Wir wohnten Ende der 90iger zwischen zwei Wohngebieten der Russen. Und imner wenn Feiertage waren, gingen unsere Nachbarn laut singend nach hause. Ich schwöre, sie konnten singen. Und wir hatten keinerlei Probleme. Das war eine schöne Zeit

    I have loved this beautiful song for years, and mostly this version and perfomance, not realizing what the translation was until I found this video.
