The interview was really insightful to Vahns vision for BulletFarm. I definitely recommend checking it out (linked in description)
Thanks so much for liking, commenting, and subscribing ❤
COD died the day Dev’s thought warzone was a good idea they got stretched too thin… pre-warzone the community still had complaints about zombies and other 3rd game modes not given more content.
I really want Warzone to be left behind. Completely. That would change COD. All these years of the same thing. If they left Warzone behind it would also change the community for the better. Forcing the community to change would be huge.
wont happen because money
your the idiot that these devs listen to
To be fair, warzone has made cod look at bullet trajectory and hit registering much different than what they had been trying to for years, used to be mainly hitscan till the long range was part of it
I Think that's a bad move knowing that Warzone makes a ton of money for a Free to play experience. I think the best solution is to Integrate Multiplayer in Warzone to make it completely free to play, that's the better solution to the problem. if they already make too much money on just the skins alone making the Multiplayer free to play will invite a lot of more players to the game new or veteran.
They should separate the products, and they are already doing that. No need to ditch warzone or MP, both can walk on their own feet and generate tons of revenue for the company
I don’t play shipment solely for XP and to rank up weapons. I play it because it’s the one map where you can get into a gunfight within a few seconds. There’s no running halfway across a map to fight someone, it’s just in your face chaos. That’s what I like. “More, please!”
Honestly, I’m happy for him, some CoD devs deserve better.
Isn't it funny that back in what people call the golden days of CoD, the employees actually wanted to make them, wanted to work overtime, wanted to work on this new zombies mode.
Now they just go to work because they have to, so their thing, then go home. And it really shows in the quality of the games over the years.
That’s what happens in every industry when millions of dollars are being moved around.
Teams got too big
I feel that way with food. No one puts soul into it anymore, it's just about making your bag and going home, which I get cause jobs pay horrible but just wish the quality would go up:/
@@Soggysenpaigotta love that attenstion diner or reaustrant workers put into heating your food to perfection wth a microwave
Rubbing salt in Nero’s wound with that reznov unlock
That shot he got was so free tho haha and I always thought you had to shoot someone even farther than that
@@alex____5602 I could have swore it was worded differently in the past I thought it was 500m kill but maybe I’m wrong
I really hope prestige mode comes back because I don’t think treyarch ever wanted to remove that
Balckout was the best! If they made a similar playlist on warzone were it is more traditional and building up to the end game was more the focus point I would probably play it.
Would be so easy too, bare bones weapons and a few attachments to loot, and of course give us the damn grapple gun back and wingsuit
How do you get the camo you’re using in the video? Looks amazing
Hope he finds success with his new studio.
Like anything it gets super boring doing the SAME thing for years.
Activision is the Taco Bell of gaming. Taking shit back then rebranding it over and over again. COD is dead. It will never be what it once was.
I’m sad to see him go. I hope even without his guidance Treyarch still sticks the arcadey feeling cod games they’re known for. With him leaving I’m scared they might just bend their knee to Activision and be forced to make all there games MW clones with a Cold War era theme.
I agree with you on the whole train track analogy that’s how I feel now completely
Warzone was the worst thing to happen to CoD.
3k devs to many hands in the cookie jar
He's doing the right thing to be fair.
Gonna miss him in Call of Duty tho 🤧
Missing Vondy rn 😢
I feel like this happens alot in the creative industry when people are passionate about there work and they have the time to get it right it always ressonates with people alot more, but i feel like the industry big wigs just stifle creators passion with deadlines and then we get a worse product
the problem with cod now is everything they changed when they rebooted in 2019. even infinite warfare was more refreshing than any recent cod game except cold war because it was an actual new game and cold war was only saved by the treyarch art style because it didn’t look and feel like the same damn thing they’ve been reselling for 5 years now
I absolutely HATE Shipment at this point lol. I miss the days of tiny / small maps being rare to play and becoming a special event 24/7 playlist.
imagine your golden era of cod is the sbmm era
I really think if multi-player has its own game it
I love the advanced movement era.
Activisions biggest mistake was getting rid this legend himself Vonderhaar at least when many issues going on with the new cod games and WZ they should have been addressed by the Legend himself but sadly those days are long gone due to the fact that money talks is so strong it ben enough to silence the community that wants the game issues fixed.
Skipping cod 2024 couldn’t be easier…
for me personally idk if i will. i love every treyarch game. there the only good company to make cod now in my opinion.
@@corbinhopkins6076 considering that means you liked Campaignless-Bo4 and Noob-streak-Cold War.
I guess that say all I need to know.
Thankfully, modern gaming has too many games, we are no longer in the PS360 when COD was THE game.
@@josetomascamposrobledano4618 i didn't mind cold war it was pretty decent and the zombies was fun. Bo4 multiplayer was pretty good in my opinion and than bo1-3 is peak gaming.
@josetomascamposrobledano4618 What makes your opinions on BO4 and cold war more valid than his? Please tell us o' great one
“His departure” bruh he’s been gone 6 months 🤨
9:08 perfectly sums up cod games nowadays, your paying for a game with "new" features that are really 10 years old...
Long story short von knows what a sh*t show cod is and working under Actvsion from the way he gets treated to the game. I wish von the best of luck on whatever he’s working on.
Healing + loot boxes made me ignore bo4
Hopefully he's able to actually get a game out, unlike Jason Blundell and his failed game studio.
I’ve been in the gaming community for 10 years I’m 16 my first game was Minecraft back in 2012/13 it was fun towards I’d say 2019/18 cod has been my Main source of enjoyment but since mw2/3 2023 my hopes for cod died.
BO4 tried that change forward and people hated for it so much, hopefully the good thing about it come back
i had a stroke reading this
Chinese company? NO THANKS
everything about warzone era cod feels like a dud to me, I can't keep myself interested despite the seemingly endless content being pumped to it. Just give me a remaster / best of old cod and I'll be happy. Modern Warefare remastered in 2016/17 was the last time I was truly invested in the game.
As nero said Cod is dry
Anything great Treyarch brought to the table that was removed was due to Infinity Ward and their garbage leadership team from around 2017 onward.
Simple version of Vahns reason to leave Treyarch: "Fuk Activision, i now am part of a company that lets you have your own ideas, has people who want to work hard on the game, no rush.
In what way are specialists "unique"? In Bo3, they were literally destiny supers, and they were rainbow six operators in 4. Cod hasn't done anything "unique" since 2009
Ngl manual healing sucked. It prohibited you from engaging in multiple gunfights
Seems like a skill issue pal, it let you heal on will so if you were at full health, got into a gunfight and needed to heal you could do it instantly which was actually quicker then auto healing
lol the manual healing was introduced so that you could get back into gunfights quicker
@@uchwuzhere literally what I’m saying that’s why i said skill issue
@@deceptionxbl5872 i know, my comment was more aimed at the original comment.
@@deceptionxbl5872 no stims had a timer you can’t do it back to back. So it’s not a skill issue considering I have like a 2.9 KD on that game. I find it funny how when someone says how they feel about a aspect of cod someone tries to say “skill issue” instead of moving on with their day
Good... Let's see if it will be revived.. haven't played since the best cod ever! Infinite warfare! ❤
eh it’s probably for the better
Sadly without Von Black ops games are NOT the same, I am glad he moved on because I am sure he wanted to make fun games meanwhile Activision wants to make more $$$. Who cares if Warzone lovers get butt hurt so I will say it " If Balckout had the same amount of support it would smoke Warzone any day"
i am against jump pack cod
Bo4 needs a remaster ❤️
Time to move on
warzone runied cod all together
I’ll never play a game by him again he’s working for the enemy
He said manual healing was a good thing 😭😭
COD while enjoyable, has no true competition in the FPS market, and has become too big to allow innovation. It exists to make money.
I like COD and I’ll keep playing for the foreseeable future, but just the same, I’ll also keep using and buying iPhones without expecting groundbreaking innovation there, either.
Until something better for me comes along, I’ll be…happy?… with the status quo.
I’m ready for a change, ready to mix things up, but I don’t see much of that with COD in the next few years.
Imo After BO2 the black ops series got worse each game until Cold War.
EVERY company in China is owned by the government. 🤣🤣🤣
I still want my og warzone skins back
this guy lost every ounce of respect the second he said that bullshit in cold war that we should just be thankful we got a game at all even if that game was fucking terrible
Yeah ppl suck. Even as a youtuber or entertainer. Ppl starting to hate change due to sheep mentality..
Hmmm
Cheese
Lets keep it real, he hasnt made a good cod since 2015. He made the worst scorestreak system ever in cold war and b04 had manual healing. So of course he was forced out
Clearly you weren't listening he wasn't forced out he left because he was bored of doing the same thing and not being able to do anything. Innovative because Activision wouldn't allow it pretty much.
Oh no, scorestreaks and manual healing, that completely ruins the game! As opposed to almost infinite wall run? Nostalgia hits hard
Nah BO4 wasn’t even Bad Tbh Sure it didn’t have A campaign but it’s still the best MP experience imo, & Manual healing was a nice Touch for Rushing
Let’s keep it real, u are the type that would love infinity award ass game and what are u smoking
Cold War is still a good game even with the streak system. Decent MP, Good Campaign, and Good Zombies.
Treyarch hasn’t made a good game since WaW. Treyarch is trash.
Works cited "his crack pipe"
Call of duty is a soulless pile of garbage, it’s been broken beyond repair for years
Fxck vahn. Fix the DSR. Melt.
Ima be honest here, im glad hes gone, he went downhill fast and he needed to go🤣
God, I hope his exit doesn't make treyarch cod games suck
I don’t enjoy where he’s going, but if it makes him happy then all the best. Still I understand that you can only innovate CoD so much until it becomes what it is now.
