Vanguard encouraged me to branch out to other games starting with elden ring two years ago and I've never regretted it. I'll always have a soft spot for call of duty, but it's become so much more about than creativity. It's being sold to us as a product rather than a game. Who is this game even for anymore?

One thing worth noting, you're spending 20$ to play the game less? if you were to spend 20$ (60$ collectively for double bp) which is an amount that people who really like the game would spend for, if you REALLY like the game, why would you spend 20$ to play it LESS, this is just for those people that cant play every day of the week so they're behind on the battlepass or xp for warzone to have competitive guns, it preys on the casuals

@neneargueta8332 Yeah Zombies has had a pretty crazy life. I have a lot of hope (likely blind hope) in this year's Zombies. But the direction they have taken the mode is not what I had envisioned for what zombies could be. I should just learn the skills and make the game I dreamed it could be myself
@@Telixion it is be a cool idea to sort of make your own zombies game, sort of how like XDefiant is to call of duty, I feel like sooner or later there will be a zombie survival shooter that will be a spiritual successor to classic zombies mode and its gameplay
Think how I’ve felt as a zombies fan, watching Treyarch nail it in bo3, drop the ball with bo4, redeem themselves in Cold War, fall on their face with Vanguard, and just kind of exist with MWIII.
Gulf War is a make or break for some people, and that’s very depressing to think about when we were at what we didn’t know was peak nine years ago.

The only time I've felt a desperate need for 2XP Tokens was back when I was leveling-up all the Weapons at the beginning of MWII's lifecycle, and the devs were really stingy with regards to 2XP Events (eg. not even the customary one they usually do over Thanksgiving)...

XDefiant is a mess though. I tried it over the recent play test. 5 hit markers on my screen but they still at 100 health.. not to mention constant bullets curving around corners and killing me somehow

Faster Battle Pass XP is so needed in general…they are really just experimenting with everything to see what they can get away with (and it all seems to work 💀)

Yeah, this will be a problem. Throughout the entire "Warzone" era. I've maybe bought 5 bundles max.. I dont really care to buy all the bundles in the shop. But I just bought the base Call of Duty every year. This doesn't really affect me per se, but i can definitely see this bothering a lot of people out there.

Wait till ammo is something you have to purchase in game, not tracer packs actual ammo to play the game with. These marks that keep buying skins and such are fueling the greed.

Honestly no point in buying this when you get Double XP weekends and events like every week. Plus when you get the ability to stack up on like 30-50 Double XP tokens at the end of the game's life cycle for the next game.

They have seen how many people have bought Bundles and they know they can get more. Obviously people are playing a lot and keep getting back on. Why not give those players bonuses in the Store? These players are playing and they don’t have an issue buying dlc skins in the Store. Every now and then people want a new skin for a few days. I don’t have a problem with that. But I have a problem with paying a little more to get ahead faster.

Wtf is the point in xp bonuses when they have level caps and took away prestige. Back in the day when we could prestige, this may not had been a bad thing, just bc of how many 10th, 15th or 20ths would make you feel intimidated but with level caps each season not really a point unles you started late

Well, at this point the game has been out for a solid 6 months, no one playing since launch really needs this, but maybe their idea is to help new players catch up by spending a little? Still predatory but I think that would be activision reasoning here.

Honestly a waste because they max out your level every season instead of letting you just keep grinding. So dumb.
If the black ops go to old Prestige system and this type of bundles Will appear is pay to rank and level up on games like this with seasonal level cap i dont see the gain u get stucked at the level cap and your XP is going to smoke , this is a Bundle focus on new players in my opinion

You don't need to finish battle passes. They are just a bunch of digital cosmetics, and go obsolete within a year when a new cod comes out. I'm sticking with my default operator skins and I am happy with that. No grind, no fomo, just fun.

I love this because I don't get to play often at all. So when I hop on I gotta grind extra hard which is fine. I can play. Been playing for over 15-20 years. If I can get on and just play normally getting this amount of xp I may actually be able to unlock enough to enjoy the game. I see both sides but why hate on it. They gave us crappy games the least they can do is make up for it!

You know what $20 got me recently? The entirety of GTA V with 2.5 million starting cash. THATS worth $20, and that game is 10+ years old at this point, AND it’s also run by a triple A studio. There are constantly rotating game modes with attached double xp and money without the player having to shell out more money on top of that. Call of Duty could learn a thing or two about catering to their playbase, but we all know that what we have left is scraps of what the former game was.
probably one of the worse examples you could pull. they milked gta v so damn hard. stopped playing that shit when they made everything cost an insane amount of in game cash. you had to work that shit like a second job to have any fun new items they added. this was like 7 years ago and they made rerelease after rerelease since to make even more money. only good part about gta 5 is the story the rest is garbage.

You heard of shark cards? How do you think they have justified supporting that game for 10 years? It’s also not even remotely the same kind of game. You seem to be overly focused on progression and leveling up to begin with. It’s all made up and engineered to keep you playing and give you the illusion that you are doing something.
I was just trying to provide an example, not paint GTA V as a total saint. Every Triple A Dev has their schemes and Shark Cards are arguably pretty gnarly, but it’s not like they don’t offer opportunities to level up faster in game in addition to a bonus outside of the game. MTX need to serve a legitimate purpose to have justification inside a game, and I don’t think that buying in game currency as a counterpoint to having to spend $60 for a double xp bonus for life is a fair justification to make.
Say for example the next iteration of COD drops and you end up having bought that skin with your friends, if you’re running in WZ and the cross-progression is still a thing, it gives new players an immediate advantage to everyone else at the games start. You can purchase money in GTA, but you can’t just buy RP to level up you’ve gotta earn that shit.

I’m not too shocked about this tbh. I believe a report either by Tom Henderson over at Insider Gaming or another reporter had said that the acquisition of Activision by Microsoft will make things worse since they’re going to try their hardest to make their money back. This is just the first step of Microsoft trying to make their money back.

They don’t really want you to play. They just want you to log on and buy some items. It’s a shop and economy now. Not really a “game” so to speak.

If there are bozos willing to buy that bundle just for the double xp, then let them waste their money. Or on the flip side, there are probably many people who dont have time at all in their lives to finish a battle pass but still want to earn it all without buying the whole pass. This bundle may help them.
