I am seriously so fucking glad you made this video, and I know thats awful to say especially cause I like listening to your content but damn man I had to stop myself legit like 20 times cause this year of cod sucks ass and every updates been lame as fuck, and I didnt wanna leave a nasty comment on your video you were just the first person I saw covering it yet were so joyful about it, it blew my mind you were praising shit to a new piece like shinier shit. I think this idea of CoD 2.0 needs to be forgotten. It doesn’t really mean much I don’t think and it shouldn’t have been said in the first place.
I have significantly scaled back my Call of duty gaming since COD WWII, for me it's just not as enjoyable as before and it's no longer my main game, I use to play this all the time but now I just prefer to use that time to try other single player games that I can really enjoy like I use to enjoy COD back in the day.
it's a shame bc COD is such a good franchise but they've dropped the ball on so many stuff that made me scale back from it overtime.

I was the same with MW 2019 and Cold war. Getting sucked into the media surrounding cod games will just make it way too easy to see the games faults which will just ruin your experience.

I have played every single COD since Modern Warfare 2 (Original) and the last 3 games have been increasingly horrible for me…i played this MW2 for 3 weeks at launch and never touched it again, and i am proud of myself for not supporting a shit game with shit support by a shit company, but it does absolutely make me sad that COD is running it’s course for me 💔 (only thing i have to look forward to now is remasters)

Now: This game sucks
They’ve been leaving multiplayer behind since MW2019 and Warzone being introduced. You’ve also been playing this as a job for a long ass time, the only thing that gets me back in the game is quitting for a long time but as someone doing it for their job you’re probably spending way more hours playing than you would if you weren’t.
Deleted mw2 over two weeks ago and still haven’t redownloaded it. Stress reduction medicine at it’s finest.
It's also incredible how good Cold War's live service was, we had new maps that were pretty decent and remakes of some classics, and cold war MP felt like it's own thing, as in, didn't feel like a weapon level Sim for warzone.
I trust in Treyarch.

At first, I loved MWII. I was completely captured for the first 3-4 weeks of the game. After Vanguard, I was genuinely having so much fun. However, that didn’t last very long because the game became pale. I felt the desaturation like a fucking bag of bricks. I’ve recently tried to play the game again but it feels like a chore. Not sure what to do now tbh. I’ll likely free up that 100GB+ for more games that I will enjoy. I’m super hyped for Spider-Man 2 and I’ll be on the lookout for more single player games.
As much as I hate to accept it, it’s time for a new generation of Call of Duty. One that doesn’t include people like us, the ones who loved how CoD used to be. The world will never run out of 8-19 year olds. It’s their game now. We are not in that club anymore.

Cold war is the mix but leans more arcade that I desire. Its a game not meant to look or feel like real life, thats all games unless its a simulation game.

Really great, thoughtful video, man. I think you summed up the entire COD 2.0 era as the "Bundle Era" expertly. As someone who was looking forward to playing this "new era" and investing so much time/interest in playing COD I was completely let down by what IW put out this year. Really appreciate your direct POV and hopefully the mgmt at Activision take notice and start to implement the changes that the community want to see (since they are what make this franchise possible).

I don’t think it would be all that hard for them to fix the things people don’t like about the games currently. It is kind of just on them whether or not they want to do it. Hopefully they are just holding back that stuff for MWIII which would be better than nothing.

7:45 Treyarch even made it in Cold War where normal Gunfight was replaced with the tournaments so you could go back and earn the rewards. Having 48 different things to unlock by just winning different types of matches is amazing. Nothing like that in this game though

Ever since cod started going to the season pass model ive slowly started to go away from the franchise, the last cod i genuinely took part in Mp was MW 2019 and Cold War zombies with a bit of mp. Vangaurd and MW2 2022 kinda killed it for me.

Best thing they can do for COD 2.0, is to start by ending yearly releases. Make an incredible COD title that has enough live service content to last years before the next title.

I still jump on if I get a few hours but i’d rather play a pve game with my friends over a competitive game. I legit feel you when you say maybe it’s because we’ve grown up, especially when the games we grew up with were bo2 mw2 mw3. I feel like a lot of younger generation will go through the same thing in the next 10 years but their nostalgia will be mw cold war vanguard and so on. I buy the new cod half the time for the campaign and play the multiplayer for the first 2 seasons and give up on it because there’s fun to have elsewhere. I watch your videos to keep updated on what’s happening but most of the time i’ll jump into a new season play for an hour or 2 jump off to play something else. It is a burnt out feeling you get after play the same thing for years at a time. There’s still fun to be had there, but in small burst for me personally.

Honestly after the beta the game just didn’t feel right to me it just didn’t feel like cod anymore and after a few months of off and on playing the game I just decided to quit from it. And I hate that I’ve been playing this series just like anyone else and it fucking sucks when you spend 100 or more dollars just to realize how barebones this game is and can’t get a refund. Because of how bad Call of Duty has gotten along with the godawful Overwatch & Halo games, I actually managed to dive into some of my backlog & I’m seriously regretting not getting into these games when they initially released. They are such enjoyable fun games to play from start to finish; Blasphemous, Mark of the Ninja, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, Axiom, Vampire Survivors, Hollow Knight, Elden Ring. All of these games just brought back that excitement of playing video games on a Saturday morning & reminded me why I love video games so much

I am so Glad to hear this. I still play MWII and I just cannot believe the state of it. Infinity ward should feel embarrassed and ashamed of the horrible game they have created. I hope and pray that once Microsoft get control of activation they start to fix these development teams and bring back classic and new cod as a fresh experience. we dont want bundle warfare we want proper OG cod fun

I feel like I’m in a similar place as you but I got there sooner. I’ve barely played cod since the launch window. Haven’t bought skins because of the bullshit that they couldn’t transfer them. And now the vanguard team is rushing out another cod game? Yeah no. I’m good. I hope other creators make videos like this.

EVERYTHING about WZ1 is better than WZ2 in every single way and this video paints it perfectly.
I feel that, I would love to load up the game and be able to actually Casually play, but its hard when the matchmaking system wants to constantly punish me for playing k/d focused by filling my team with people that go 5 and 20 and then rage quit so I end up losing so many games no matter how well I may have done.
My cousin was always trying to get me to play DMZ with him saying how much better its gotten and how far in the missions he is, and his whole attitude changed when I told him about the Season 4 reset.
All these developers seem to wanna do is just bone the player base any which way they can whenever they can, making choices that make 0 sense from a gaming standpoint.
4 months after Vanguard released I Uninstalled it and started playing Elden Ring instead, and since then I have been playing anything other than CoD and have found myself enjoying games again and losing myself to the grind in other games.
The "2.0 era" just confirms that CoD is dead and they're essentially starting all over with their focus on the wrong things. Larger dev studios and teams, bigger budget, lower quality and predatory micro transactions with pay to win mechanics bundled in.
MW2 2022 is everything the original fan base hates and have stood against and we are tired of trying to fix what wants to remain broken.

Bundle Era - as a bundle collector, even the bundles were underwhelming with so much limitations.

I love MWII, I like the movement etc the guns, the customisation you can do, however.
I do not like the lack of support MP is getting this year, since the launch of Warzone and now even DMZ, MP has taken a back seat and feels like an afterthought.
I am optimistic for MWIII because I like how MWII feels movement & gun play wise and will probably get stick for this but I hope they don’t change the movement too much, I hated slide cancelling G fuel snorting teenagers on cod.
I never understood movement kids, they never played the OG games where movement was pretty much the same as it is in MWII bar some strafe speed etc. I’ve played ever game since 2007 year after year and something about MWII feels good to me even if there’s a huge lack of MP support

Its becoming frustrating. My brother I'd staying over on his summer break and when we split screen on mw2 neither one of us is able to change class, we are basically stuck with the first class we pick. Another bug is that in split screen if we don't pick a class quick the game will lag and stutter and it won't let us select a class. In split screen when I get a kill a big red bar appears on the middle of the screen with the enemy that got eliminated, that in itself gets in the way alot. Honestly, not that it matters bc I'm just an individual but COD is not what it used to be in the old days. Like BO 1,2,3,4. Aw, iw, mw2(the classic), and even mw3. Ik those are just my opinions and that's what's nostalgic to me.

In my opinion it is not just call of duty but a lot of games have this type of problem.
I bought a cheap 10 bucks drift racing indie game that has more innovation and big changes every update then a 70-80 bucks triple A game.
Lot of triple A games that are making sequels don't improve at all or a little bit and sometimes even going backwards removing things.
Been playing blackops 4 lately. Not my ideal call of duty but atleast it still has that cod feel sort of...more fun for sure though

Playing the games since 2009, MWII is the first CoD game I skipped on because I didn't like MW2019 and just don't want to force myself to play a game I know I'm not going to enjoy. Now seeing this "CoD 2.0" era is going, I'm glad I switched over for Splatoon 3 lmao
Activision did the classic public company money move.
They saw the 💰with warzone during 2020 and never wanted the good times to end so they thought bigger was better and neglected there multiplayer base.
They want to be a live service company but don’t want to put in the time and work to make weekly updates to their product (more than playlist shuffles) that is required to please the player base.
Main thing that kills me with this game is that is started so strong and then completely flopped.
I’m glad you have a second channel. Activision doesn’t care anymore about the loyal players since the old COD days of COD4. They only care about the players that stayed during MW’19. This franchise has peaked for far too long and it’s about time to move onto other games
Although I enjoy the game I know there are a lot of things wrong with the Game and unfortunately the things that are wrong such as the ghost perk or the silencers not working as intended wont be fixed because they are focused on WZ being the huge cash cow there is, I just hope they fix some of these stuff going into MW3 this year.
Infinity Ward is just using the MW2 IP just for nostalgia purposes. The only OG weapon we've gotten was the intervention and we've gotten NONE of the classic maps....

I’ve said it from the moment they said it… ‘The new era of CoD’ and ‘CoD 2.0’ was just a marketing tactic.
MWII’s gunplay and camo grind are the best in the series. Now that the camo grind is done, I’m playing for the gunplay, but I do wish they would fix progression to add more long term goals beyond just 200 levels per season.
They just need to give us the OG Prestige mode back

There's been many signs that this game was not gonna be good and bad for the community, but nothing spelled it out more than when the entire community (and I mean every single person) said the footsteps were too loud and they made them even louder. When that happen I knew I had to go, I've never experienced a developer so anti community ever.
For me it’s when they completely ignored requests from mw2019 when treyarch and sledgehammer made those changes
I only play mw2 cause I bought the digital version on my ps5 and started late on my camo grind and play shipment24/7, but if the next game has this atrocious spawn system with lack of maps for multi-player last cod i buy...
