    I know how easy it is to forget, but current wisdom suggests never to carry out a quick date change with the hour hand in the upper zone of the dial. There is a plastic cog in an NH movement that can get damaged if you do. Enjoying your channel.Subscribed and liked.

    Watching this again after your recent community post... Just worth noting when you change the date on the movement it’s good practice to make sure the hour hand is not in the top half of the dial ( ie not half way through an automatic date change in progress ). Otherwise you may be risking damage to the date change mechanism.
    That Tuna looks awesome on the engineer bracelet!

    This is by far the best version of SM Tuna in my opinion. Day Date, original green lume, traditional black dial and Basel. I don't mind if the Basel has lume like later versions. This looks just legit like an authentic diver. I'm suppose to purchase this watch 2 years ago but too large for me.. still now I'm interest and may reconsider.

    • @HonestWatchReviewsHWR
      @HonestWatchReviewsHWR  Před 4 lety +1

      I have a few San Martin watches, a Steeldive one and I'm waiting for a couple of Heimdallrs to arrive. With the Heimdallrs I've had to pay quite a bit in customs fees. I live in the UK. Just for reference, I've never had to pay customs fees on watches I've bought from AliExpress. So I'd say go for the San Martin. It's the slightly better quality than Steeldive and you won't get hit with customs fees, unlike Heimdallr.

    • @HonestWatchReviewsHWR

      @@HonestWatchReviewsHWR bro i appreciate the review and all but there is no such thing as a "homage" that's just a justification/excuse for what the other guy said. it's a straight rip off of the Seiko Tuna. Call it for what it is.

    • @HonestWatchReviewsHWR
      @HonestWatchReviewsHWR  Před 4 lety +2

      @@pl2996 It varies depending on who you ask. For me personally I class it as an homage, as it's not trying to pass itself off as the original. It has different branding/sterile.
      Also they are aimed at completely different markets. People who buy homages aren't likely to buy the real thing. As they can't/won't pay that kind of money for a watch. So they just want something with a similar look, but at a more reasonable price point.
      When talking specifically about Seiko homages, a lot of the time you get better specs with homages and they cost less too. Things such as sapphire crystal, milled clasps, solid end links and even better Seiko movements. That bit especially really baffles me.
      Seiko now seem to be upping their prices too. But without improving the specs. This is driving people towards homages.
      So why buy a Seiko where you have to pay more for worse specs. Then pay extra upgrade things such as the crystal and the bracelets and if you want to even the movement itself? It just doesn't make any sense.

  • @Arielsenis
