Although I've seen some people remove the shroud on these which would solve this problem. Wondered if you've had the shroud off of this one yet? I'd be interested to see what the monobloc case looks like underneath as that would open lots of opportunities for different bracelets and straps. I was considering getting a normal tuna shroud to replace the one on this, but looks like the shrouds have differently located fitting points for the screw fixings. Interested in your view on these Heimdallr Tuna's, your reviews seem to suggest that they're pretty decent. 👍🏻

This looks really nice. I didn't see this one when I bought my Bronze Turtle and Great Wave. It quite like the sand blasted finished too. It's certainly something different to my San Martin Tuna homage. Great review mate. Subscribed.
Yes the rubber strap really doesn't fit the watch. The shroud is in the way. I did shave a millimeter of the bracelet just the part that is under the shroud. That makes all the difference. You can shave it off with a super sharp knife and sandpaper the new shiny cut. The result is nearly invisible. The watch wears perfectly now on my 7.5 inch wrist.

Hello from an Irishman in Turkey! Good to see an Irish review channel. I'm a big Orient and Seiko fan myself. I have to admit, I couldn't ever get myself to love the tuna. For me, it's something only a mother would love. Lol. But it certainly does look better on the nee strap This company Heimdallr certainly does a good job, and the Seiko movement is a huge bonus. I actually ordered the red dial Monster, still waiting for it, but it looks good from a distance. Just checked out your review on it, so I feel better about ordered. I would have gotten the original if I could, but with sapphire crystal and what seems like a better bracelet, I thought, why not? First thing I do when I buy a new Seiko is swap out the bracelet! Excellent review, and have subscribed.
I have this watch and I agree with you on all points 100%! Great looking watch. I opted for this because I own a Seiko King Turtle and just purchased and Arnie. So I didn't want to spend a mint on another Diver. I actually switched the stock rubber strap from my Sieko Arnie ( very soft, very supple silicone strap) to this watch. I love the fit and the look as I am from south Florida and spend a lot of time in the water. This watch is a no brainer. Get one!
Great review. The strap change made all the difference. The original does not look like it could fit well. Looks good in the Charcoal grey as well. Those Heimdallrs are great value. You know your channel is starting to move places when Heimdallr are sending you watches! congrats!
Great Review, i bought the watch last year and it's really amazing for the price.The 48mm diameter dosen't look nice on my 5 1/2 wristb but i don't care. It wears very confortably with a two pieces nylon strap and i like the dive instrument look. Future mods are impossible on this watch, the space between bezel and case is so tight, i was unable to slide a knife between them.

I purchase this same watch a few weeks ago and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Awesome video! Gosh I wish I had seen it sooner, and not gotten the San Martin mini-tuna . I got one that is all black, and it's not a bad watch, but this blows it out of the water, by far a more robust watch, I like that shroud much more. I have the black pvd and gold one. The strap does suck. I filed down quite a bit of the "knob" with a emory board, and it opens wider for my 7.25 " wrist. I have ordered a couple straps for it. My buckle says Heimdallr, which I like more than that shark logo.

@@catcat40000 that's a long time. I ordered a San Martin last week. It took a couple days for them to send it then another couple of days to arrive. 4 or 5 days in total from China to Europe.
Hey man .. thanks a million for the comment , because of those hidden lugs I don't think it would be very comfortable , and also if you manage to get one there you have to make sure the endlink is a female endlink so it has a bit more movement in it . If you manage to make it sit flat on a table then you're good . That's why mesh and canvas work well! hope it helped . Thanks
By the way, the San Martin diver's I got today was faulty, it didn't tick. I wound it but the second hand was stationary. The bezel action was awful, it had a 1 minute back play. The case was dirty even under the plastic. I'm absolutely disappointed, I didn't expect such a thing from San Martin. I sent it back to get the full refund.
Wonder how it compares to its sibling, the HIMQ/Proxima This would look beastly on shark mesh but it looks like thinner straps is the way to go with this one.

Interesting review, but the watch looks like a modstrocity. Shroud looks grey plastic, and it looks like it has the wrong strap. I watched with interest, as I have a street series Solar Tuna, and have just ordered an after market shroud. I’ve subscribed, so I’m there for the journey.

George i have two super important questions, 1: is the lume as good as the other watches like proxima tuna watch because ive heard heimdallr's lume isn't that sharp compared to others 2: the 1km tuna lugs are under the case , but if i put on another dive strap would it fit properly then like will it touch the wrist and is tight or will it still be floating on top of your wrist,i want the heimdallr because of its 1000m water resistance, also any other 1000m tuna homages you know in the same price? many thanks if you had to spend time answering btw i am looking forward to proxima 300m tuna if the problem cannot be solved on the heimdallr,anyway gonna keep it short,thanks,and cheers
Hey man.. how are things? Thanks for taking the time. hope I can answer your questions. The lume is great.. Haven"t had the proxima or the other ones to compare but out of all the watches that I have from Heimdallr this is the brightest one and it lasts slightly longer than the other ones aswell. Regarding the strap. The one that it comes one is terrible, the rubber is too hard and like you said .. it floats on the wrist, also is very uncomfortable. Go on Amazon and buy yourself a quick release spring bar canvas strap like the one I have in the video and you'll be flying . I recently had it on a more soft rubber one and it wore pretty decent too But the most comfortable was the canvas. Hope it helps and thanks for watching

Do they mark the watch parcel with the full price before sale reductions? Their site says they mark packages as $50 value except to the UK and Switzerland for some strange reason, so places where you will pay more taxes. Then you have even more charges on top depending on the shipping company they use so you may well end up paying over £200 for a £150 watch

I have this exact watch in my bag on the official Heimdallr site. It's good to know about the rubber strap issue even though I already have a two piece NATO to put on mine. I do have a question though. Do you think there is enough room to upgrade to HD spring bars when I swap the strap? The HD spring bars are 2mm diameter shafts.

I had a Heimdallr pilot that the hands were misaligned on. Looking at your video when the watch is showing 5 o'clock the hour hand looks far behind where it should be. Have you tried looking at it at 12? It will be even more obvious then I am thinking. I want to like Heimdallr as a brand but things like that are basic qc imo.
I like Tuna watches, I have one from Sharkey but I can’t justify the design of the shroud on this one. It has a very poor design, hard to put other steel bracelet on this watch.

Mine stoped working. I have tryed for about 5 times for a repair or something under warranty but I get not even a reply. Really disappointed. I want to love Heimdallr for what they do but it is not worth the hassle for me anymore 😢.

Also it is impossible for me to get in the Heimdallr account which I set up. It won’t let me enter. And I was really bummed out because I absolutely love the watch.

I have had a couple issues with some microbrands in the past that leads me to ask about the polish and presentation beneath the glass. Are there any dust or fingerprints beneath the crystal or on the face? It looked like there may be some dust in the video, but I wasn't sure.

Hey there , thanks for the comment. As I'm sure you know , the water ratings don't actually work like that. If you have 1000m WR it doesn't necessarily mean that you can dive 1000 meters with it. Have you tried looking at it at 12? It will be even more obvious then I am thinking. I want to like Heimdallr as a brand but things like that are basic qc imo.

I like Tuna watches, I have one from Sharkey but I can’t justify the design of the shroud on this one. It has a very poor design, hard to put other steel bracelet on this watch.

Mine stoped working. I have tryed for about 5 times for a repair or something under warranty but I get not even a reply. Really disappointed. I want to love Heimdallr for what they do but it is not worth the hassle for me anymore 😢.

@@WatcheswithGeorge from there shop @heimdallr.watch to be hones a couple of weeks ago I did recive a reply that they wanted a video of what was wrong but after I send them a video nothing again. Also it is impossible for me to get in the Heimdallr account which I set up. It won’t let me enter. And I was really bummed out because I absolutely love the watch.
I thought the strap is irreplaceable due to the design of the watch but seems not the case.
is it a lot of trouble to do that? How you do it? Please share more information with us.

Hey.. thanks for the comment.. the rubber strap comes out pretty easy.. I found that a canvas strap with qui m release suits it best!
You just need a regular spring bar remover and it will work just fine.

I have had a couple issues with some microbrands in the past that leads me to ask about the polish and presentation beneath the glass. Are there any dust or fingerprints beneath the crystal or on the face? It looked like there may be some dust in the video, but I wasn't sure.
Hey man.. thanks for the comment! I can see your point.. and they did have a few issues with quality control. Had a chat with one of the shipping guys.. and they take everything on board. No finger prints beneath .. just my dirty fingers over the top.
