Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Watch Review - $25,000

  • Here is a review of Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Titanium. It's by far the most expensive watch I've reviewed on the channel so far and it's incredible. Sure, this isn't a watch for everyone and it's not the best value for money proposition out there (it just tells the time). But you can't deny that it's a special, crazy, over-the-top, ridiculous timepiece.
    I would compare this watch to a Lamborghini. It's not very practical. It's loud. It's unconventional. And it's outrageously expensive -$25,000 USD for a brand new Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Titanium is a lot of money. For the money you can get a couple of Rolex Submariners, or a couple GMT Masters, or a Day-Date Presidential, or 5 Omega Speedmasters and the list goes on.
    But this watch is very special. I am very happy and proud to share this review with you.
    Enjoy the video, Oleg.

    I love the watch. But i am concern over the wear-and-tear of the 5Hz movement. I read that Rolex Daytona model used to use similar movement, but have since tuned it to 4Hz to lengthen the servicing. And given I have spent a ton on this watch, I wun want service it more frequent but once every 5 years or longer if better. I would like to hear about your assessment on the durability of the movement. Thanks!

    I was not a fan of this watch until I tried it on over the weekend. There is a big difference between seeing it on video and in person. It was utterly beautiful. It was substantial, but not over the top. I like the fact that know one would know what I was wearing. Between the beautiful art, the movement and the presence makes me want this watch. I will be looking for a used one in the near future. Great review.

    Hi so I have had my SBBT for 6 months now so feel ready to comment
    First it is really light you do not notice it on your wrist at all. It is incredible beautiful. I find myself looking at the mechanism and being amazed at the detail
    Yes it is expensive but I also know that probable there is not another person in a 300k distance with the same watch and most of the people I meet will never see another. As much as I love a Daytona you cannot say that about one of those (by the way I will be adding a Daytona to my collection very soon)
    Thanks for the video and as a side comment my favourite watch is still my IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Ocean Racer,

      @@Andino. the tonneau case shape was used in watches decades before either names even existed. Granted, RM popularized the silhouette in the early 2000s. However, Hublot only starting using 13-14 years after that.
      If that was copying RM, then saying that RM, copied Hublot’s rubber strap concept for luxury watches, also becomes a valid argument.
      I also fail to see the point of comparing $20K watches to +$100K watches. RM is so unique in its construction and design that it can’t really be compared to anything else.

    I’m not agree with what ou said. HUBLOT is an amazing brand , craftsmanship. And special skeleton dial. Sapphire crystal on glasses and on the case back. Hublot is a high end brand. Rolex is a massive production made by a machine. Rolex is cheap brand as well. Everyone has a Rolex but mostly entry level such as $4000 to $10000

    • @24hourstime
      @24hourstime  Před 5 lety +2

      I agree that Hublot makes amazing watches. But for $25,000 this watch wouldn't my first choice. I can definitely see why it would be your choice. It's a great watch. All the best, Oleg.

  • @Sirjean5
    @Sirjean5 Před 5 lety +5

    Yes most watches including Hublot depreciate in value so the higher you spend the more you might loose BUT It depends on the brand. Certain brands such as Rolex , Patek Phillipe and some Richard Mille actually appreciate in value and are investment pieces so doesn't apply to all watches. Lets be honest no one necessarily buys luxury watches to tell time/ get accurate timing it's a lot more than that to watch enthusiasts. Nice video, enjoyed watching. A nice design but prefer the tourbillion version in this model. Would I wear it probably , for 25000 , a big NO as I think maybe the tourbillion version or a lot of other luxury watches I might see worth that price point.

    Sorry, it’s not about what’s relative or how much u earn. It’s attuned to individual taste , this watch is near perfection in proportion and absolutely beautiful. I have been buying watches for almost 20 years now and I buy watches for a different reason - it’s collectibility, attention to detail, the make, aesthetics and something that I can transcend as a family heirloom in the long future . The curved sapphire on this watch is incredible beautiful and the proportion of the tonneau matches my wrist perfectly. Furthermore, it has the best chrono movement in-house or not. I am not one of those modern collectors that buy watches for investment or what’s popular and who’s wearing what. These are very narrow minded way of China mindset which has ruined the market ( especially rolexes ) and thinking that buying a watch as an investment is outright preposterous!. U want to invest, go invest in a property or if you’re skilled enough, stocks and bonds.
