I understand why some enthusiast's dislike Hublot, but this is a classic and has now been added to my list of "what's next"..
Love your reviews, buddy. Like really love them. Treat to watch and listen to. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Mercury2wo - we appreciate your kind words. Keep watching them, and Tim will keep making them!
Picking up mine this Friday! Super excited!
do u still have it?
@@yeaabuddy8929 yes I do!
I was going to get the submariner two tone, however I don't want to wait. I will settle for this one.
Imagine paying $25k for this crap
really digging this.
ok you sold me. I'm getting this one.
I love the watch. But i am concern over the wear-and-tear of the 5Hz movement. I read that Rolex Daytona model used to use similar movement, but have since tuned it to 4Hz to lengthen the servicing. And given I have spent a ton on this watch, I wun want service it more frequent but once every 5 years or longer if better. I would like to hear about your assessment on the durability of the movement. Thanks!
wanna learn more about this too, I was picking my watch up from the boutique in NYC from getting service and I tried this on. So sold on it, this is gonna be the next purcahse but for that kinda cash want it to be solid for the next 40 years
I've had my Spirit for more than a year. Works like a charm. No need to worry about the 5 Hz movement.
i have this😆 gold
Looks nice
Power reserve its 50h only
Is this inhouse movement??
Technically not in-house movement cos it was Zenith that developed the El Primero. However, since Zenith belongs in the same LVMH group as Hublot, some may consider it in-house. Then again, that’s like saying Omega was using “in-house” ETA movements since they owned ETA.

Kind of looks like an Invicta- too busy and won't hold value. I feel like it doesn't exude what it should at this price point. I also collect cars and I like in that world screws are often lined up I don't get why a lot of very high quality watches the screw tops are pointing all over the place. You'd think that would be done as a sign of precision and to me always looks like someone has ben taking it apart.
Actually, on the contrary, since it's release in 2013, it's been holding it's value pretty well. It holds it better than the Unico. I went through the Invicta site and couldn't find something similar. Maybe you can share here.
Honestly looks like a RM knockoff. Great review as always though.
Julian Boaz Yeah I agree.
Julian Boaz Yes, and RM does skeletonized dials way better.
You can buy a similar RM ceramic watch without any stones for 100K. Now that’s a ripoff
That's a standard Big Bang case squeezed in a tonneau shape.
If you look at rectangular and most of round RM's, you can see it's just a reshaped most recognizable RM case.
It's that simple.
Aside from being tonneau shaped, this is actually a 'hublot' or porthole styled watch. The Richard Milles are not. What makes the Hublot design unique is the 'ears' on the side that act as the handles to open the porthole. This and the Unico both have it.The color schemes are also much more synced with the Hublots (usually 2 tones) instead of the mish mash rainbow crap that is on those expensive plastic Richard Milles.
The movement is also much more visible as is the single circular date dial.
I'm impressed at how they got so much going on while still maintaining an actual, visually pleasing and yet, useable chronograph.
