    I am a die hard Suns fan.. i remember when my Suns were the two seed playing the 7 seed Lakers in 2006.. everyone was picking the Suns to win in four or five... I remember telling everyone that would listen..... "but they have Kobe Bryant!".. to most, including all the sports analysts, it didn't matter, the Suns were so much better as a team.. but I knew better. Kobe Bryant at that time was the most dangerous player in the NBA.. going into that series, I was terrified. I thought that the Suns could be the first two seed to lose to a seven seed in decades. And I was right almost, Kobe Bryant darn near won that series all by himself, took the Suns to 7 games! Kobe Bryant was the second most clutch player (Jordan being first) I've ever witnessed with my eyes. In my humble opinion, he is the second greatest basketball player in history. I know there is a Jordan vs LeBron debate.. but I agree with Shaquille O'Neal and Allen Iverson, y'all just going to pass Kobe Up!?! If I wanted to win a game 7 with all the chips on the line, I take Kobe over LeBron 10 out of 10 times. Kobe Bryant is an assassin... Not only is he the second greatest player that ever lived, but I don't think it's even close. LeBron James is definitely top five, but he ain't no Kobe.. as a Suns fan, I never once feared LeBron James like I did Kobe Bryant.

    R.I.P kobe bean Bryant at first I didn't except you as a great player when you were a rookie plus I had the Jordanitist and wasn't ready to move on and didn't care much about basketball afterwards. Plus I felt that everything was given to you on a silver platter by having Shaq on your team. And I was like who wouldn't win with Shaq. But when you showed me you were great and clinched 2 more rings without Shaq and in the fashion you did I instantly had respect and love for your game, and I'm proud to say I witnessed it all from beginning to end and I tip my hat off to you and I prey you rest in peace and may God bless you and your daughter and the other's who lost their lives tragically. When you compare the 2, you’ll see that Kobe has an edge because he played longer in the NBA. MJ’s first 2 retirements, he retired on top coming off 2 3-peat championships. I can only imagine what his numbers would’ve been had he not retired. MJ made an immediate impact coming off a gold medal win in the 1984 Olympics and got the attention of the greats, Bird & Magic. At one point the media placed Kobe's name against the leagues best during every debate topic. First we had Vince vs Kobe, then that argument changed to AI vs Kobe. Then when Tmac grew into a superstar it was Tmac vs Kobe. Then when the 2003 class came around, it morphed into Wade vs Kobe, and eventually Lebron vs Kobe. And we all know the all-time great debate of who's the best Laker, Magic vs Kobe, along with the GOAT between Michael vs Kobe. Now if you watched basketball during this era you know the media did not create matchup topics with Tmac vs AI, or Vince vs Wade. The ONLY constant was Kobe Bryant. He was the litmus test, and yet the media used his name for headlines while simultaniously disrespecting his name. Read between the lines: Kobe Bean is the greatest basketball player to ever play for these reasons alone.

    Also skill. Since kobe was less gifted than most of the other greats, he practically had to play better to be on par...lol it doesn't make sense but it is true if you think about it.

    Out of the two of the, mj and kobe. Kobe had more explosive dunks not just Okey doke dunks like Jordan with his 48" vert. But mj is the greatest.

      @@MoeJaxon brilliant description. But I just hated the commentators hyping up Jordan when alone to the rim and you expect something like a windmill and it's just a 5'8 dunk. Don't get me wrong there was a few times he had some nice ones but not much.

    • @MoeJaxon
      @MoeJaxon Před 2 lety +3

      Agreed! Jordan had better lay up finishes and prettier fade always than spectacular dunks! Either way both players are my two favorite players all time

      @lerebele1 Před 2 lety

      @@MoeJaxon no doubt about mj agility and control in the air for some wicked finishes be it a layup or dunk. Unmatched. I think 85 to 92 was the best of Jordans dunks in game, then just like his sneakers he started to rip us off i.e basic dunks high price and we ate it up.

    Kobe Bryant's coach Phil Jackson was on the court playing in another legendary game. During the 1970s, Phil Jackson was a Forward for the New York Knicks. One night, the greatest scoring performance by a white guy ever happened. In Madison square garden, Pete maravich dropped like 69 points.
    Years later he got the coach Michael Jordan, when Michael was doing similar things.... And then he got Kobe. That coach was the luckiest guy.,..

    Kobe was MJ only because MJ had passed Magic and Bird as the best. MJ cared what was said, and felt a close connection to Bird and Magic who, unlike almost everyone else then, openly praised MJ and didn’t pretend they had beat him for any reason other than having the better team.
    Kobe cared only to do Kobe and he was different. He’s not definable by analytics or numbers and he seemed to intentionally make it hard just to see if he could pull it off. That made him the most incredible and emotionally amazing player to watch and, at the same time, despised by purists. Kobe was simply different. If you lived him from day one in Los Angeles you just couldn’t explain. You didn’t get it.
    Then he died, the world reacted, and Jordan openly broke giving his eulogy. Turned out we were wrong. People did.

    Coach Phil Jackson in an interview said MJ would beat Kobe because of his hand size and how he could control the ball. He coached both of them. You can’t forget something like that and then make a video saying this. We all respect Kobe but Jordan is the goat! Kobe in my opinion is #2 all time!
