The rape scandal fucked over Kobe HARD. That's most likely why he only has 1 because the league thought it would look bad if they gave the player with the "rape scandal" the back to back mvps. I mean Steve Nash was a damn good player but realistically he wasn't much better than Kobe those years. Not to mention the ungodly amount of injuries he sustained throughout his 20 years which would set him back but he some how still managed to end up the 3rd in all time scoring.

The media automatically compares lebron to mj and neglects to mention Kobe. Their cash cows are mj and bron. Separation of 20 year is a generation which they can sale and manage product to. Kobe came to soon after Jordan and they can’t have that messing with their business.

It also amazes me on how he can be a lockdown defender on the opponents best player and still have the energy to score 30 - 40 point games consistently.

I thinks it's so disrespectful, that today people like Charles Barkley already question his greatness by arguing about James Harden being a better scorer. Kobe dominated the league, has 5 rings, scored 81 Points, 62 in three quarters, was feared by anyone who were supposed to guard him and yet he doesn't get the respect he deserves from those "legends" who really like the sound of their own voices too much... Yes Michael Jordan ist the best of all times, but Kobe is the closest player to him and therefore next up behind MJ. If my life would depend on a basketball game I would choose Kobe play it for me. Not Lebron, not KD, and not Westbrook.

Charles Barkley is either 'hating' on purpose, is delusional, high or insane or ALL OF THE ABOVE if he truly, genuinely, deep down in his heart believes that James Harden is a "better scorer" than Kobe Bryant! I mean, he CAN'T really mean that, and we all know that Barkley has always had the biggest mouth of anyone and many times say things purposefully to garner attention. There's NO WAY possible that Harden comes anywhere close to Kobe! Period.

Semion Johnson: who disrespected Harden? I was just saying that BARKLEY is WRONG in comparing Kobe Bryant to Harden. Are you serious? That's not a knock on Harden, because Harden is a GREAT PLAYER in his own right. But, the point is: James Harden is not better than Kobe Bryant, and it's by a long shot! But, MOST players aren't better than Kobe, so you get the idea. Kobe is a Top 5 player of all-time and the second greatest scoring guard of all-time. Harden is great, but he's no Kobe!

When has stats determine a player's greatness? Wilt should be the GOAT because of Stats and records he has broken and trust me no one will surpass 100 points. Lebron always in the playoffs have more turnovers, his free throws are terrible and whenever he has a triple double or whatever, his box and minus are Most of the time in the negative. Lebron missed more shots than Kobe in the playoffs and has more turnovers than him as well. So, its Jordan then Kobe then Kareem then Magic then Bird and then Lebron. If he wins two chips in the west, he is better than Magic and Bird but still not better than kareem imo. Lets take a look shall we?
      2007 Finals
Game 1: Lebron shot 25 percent from the field, had 6 turnovers
Game 2: Lebron had 6 turnovers again and shot 42 percent from the field
Game 3: Lebron shot 39 percent from the field and had 5 turnovers Cavs only lost by 3 and if Lebron took it upon himself to make one more field goal or hit a 3 that game might have been winnable
Game 4: Lebron shot 33 percent from the field and had 6 turnovers Spurs only won by 1 so if Lebron had made one more field goal or he wasn't missing 4 free throws then this game would have been won by him
      2008 vs Boston
Game 1: Lebron went 2 from 18 and he actually played suberb defense but it wasn't enough and he also had 10 turnovers so that didn't help
Game 2: Lebron went 6 from 24 and had 7 turnovers and missed 4 free throws
Game 3: Lebron shot 31 percent from the field but he played superb defense and has less turnovers great job
Game 4: Lebron shot 35 percent from the field but he played Defense once again despite having 4 turnovers which isn't bad and having 13 assists
Game 5: Lebron shot 48 percent from the field but had 4 turnovers again and his defensive rating was not good at all
Game 6: Lebron shot 39 percent from the field but had 8 turnovers but he did play superb defense and only missed two free throws good stuff Bron
Game 7: Lebron shot 48 percent from the field and had 2 turnovers but not only did he not play that well on defense but he also missed 5 free throws. Celtics only won by 5 so if Lebron had made all his free throws the game would have been into OT and maybe he could have a shot at beating Celtics
      2009 vs Magic
Game 1: Lebron shot 66 percent from the field Great and had 2 turnovers awesome but he missed 4 free throws and could have beaten the Magic game 1
Game 2: Lebron hit a game winner and which I applaud him for that but you had 6 turnovers has the worst defensive rating on the team meaning Lebron didn't play well on defense but did shoot 52 percent from the field good stuff
Game 3: Lebron shot 39 percent from the field had 2 turnovers good stuff but missed 6 free throws? Lebron did play the best defense on the team and had almost the worst box minus on the team
Game 4: Lebron shot 45 percent from the field but had 8 turnovers and only lost by 2. Had he made two 16 free throws out of 18 game would have been tied and maybe he would have a chance of winning that game
Game 5: Lebron shot 46 percent from the field and had missed 4 free throws and had 4 turnovers. I will give Credit to Lebron rebounding and assists and his Usage rate decreased and play solid defense.
Game 6: Lebron shot 40 percent from the field, had 3 turnovers good, missed 4 free throws, Lebron at this point should have held the ball much more because it is an elimination game but he didnt? Lebron also didn't play great defense as his defensive rating was pretty bad.
      2010 Boston
Game 1: Lebron did good actually, Shot 50 percent from field, had only 2 turnovers, missed only 3 free throws and played Great defense good stuff
Game 2: Lebron shot 47 percent from the field, had 5 turnovers(Not good), Missed 5 free throws(Not good), he did play defense better than the cavs did so Not much blame on lebron here except turnovers
Game 3: Lebron played extremely well in this game nothing bad to be said, only missed one free throw, played good defense, had only 1 turnover which is great
Game 4: Lebron great on defense but he shot 39 percent from the field, had 7 turnovers as well but blame goes on Lebron but most of that blame goes to Delonte West
Game 5: Lebron Played terrible this game. shot 21 percent from the field, had 3 turnovers(not bad), Lebron defensive rating was pretty bad,Its like Lebron didn't want to be there in his hometown so sum
Game 6: Lebron..had 9 turnovers, shot 38 percent from the field, Lebron has a triple double but his box minus is -5. Played great defense and again blame goes to Lebron but also Delonte West as well so.. Can't believe Lebron had that crucial turnover
      2011 vs Mavs
We already know what happened to Lebron so..
So, how is Lebron better than Kobe exactly? It cannot be stats without context. Lebron stat pads his stats because he is afraid of his stats taking a hit and thinks that he won't play bad. I rather respect someone who don't stat pad and plays bad rather than respecting a person who stats pad and plays good.

But LeBron gets more boards, so what bron is 6"9 260+. Mj and Bron only averaged more because of starting 3 years that Kobe barely played. Beyond that, prime they do NOTHING better than Kobe.
