Who watched this before Kobe passed but came back anyway to hear his voice... RIP Kobe

Exactly why I came back 💯🙏🏾

Doing that exact thing now I WANTED to hear HisDrive And Focus
7 minutes left I'm here
Crazy, people gonna be coming to this video for decades to come.

Props to ATS for having one of the most recent interviews before his death showing Kobe's personality and maturity
MrBartman002 fax this was perfect timing
Man
The fact that Kobe told Michael Jordan “remember who you’re talking to” And Michael saying “I’m just messing with you” Is classic, literally nobody else can say that
word. Mad respect between them. Bron be like: Mike can I join👏
That’s Golden
Larry Bird can also say this , he never loss to Michael Jordan in his life
@allannirvana 1 on 1 Kobe beats mike.
@@scottdavidson9963 no way
Too think Kobe had less than one month on this planet left at the time of this interview.. He seemed completely normal which reminds you how short life really is… DEEP.. Long live the Great Kobe Bryant

Didn’t see it coming 😢
damn that just hurt bad I didnt realize that but your right holy shit.
This was some time in November they just hired it in January
facts.
This dude Matt Barnes is so good at what he does, let the guest talk, asks question that fans want n overall is super professional.
Watching his career I would've never thought he would do this good at interviewing ppl
I said that on "Speak for yourself" hes a 🤬 natural...so once again!
"Will Matt Barnes be the smoothest NBA analyst of all time??!!”
Find out next time.....
@@miyagifatghost2684 I hope he doesn't man....he can't fumble this bag at all. Shidd I wouldnt if I was him 😂
He’s very intellectual, dude went to UCLA
ScantsRants It’s like this with Matt. When he played for Orlando years ago, I noticed he was fiery as a player on the court. His behavioral stances wasn’t as live in Orlando at the time was it was when he became a full blown journeyman the rest of the way.
When he played for the Grizzlies, that’s when I really pick up on his behavioral tendencies. Yes he had that fiery temper, but the guy is one of those no non sense guys who will put you on blast. When he did his first interview as a Grizzly, that’s when I noticed this bruh talks with some solid intel. I was astounded because at the time with Matt’s rep, lockdown defense, get in your grill, willing to fight, etc. When you get to see another side of a player, it’s cool to get to see that because it’s like a rare moment you get to see from players.
This interview will become iconic. Last interview of Kobe Bryant. I still can't believe it. RIP Black Mamba.

Kobe is so much cooler in person. The media really did make him seem like a bad person when he played.
Nobody likes the Lakers but then you end up being the greatest basketball player playing for the Lakers... The hate is going to be real
I mean he was a killer on the court.. Certified... The media had no other choice but make him a villian.
Little kids hate Kobe because they know he is better than me.
@@LeBronJames-StatPadderMan troll better
You can be chill off the court but be an asshole during game time, the 2 aren't mutually exclusive. It's like how CP3 is a prick during games but all you ever hear is him being loved by other players.
Kobe's death feels to me like someone just burned a whole library down. So many dope stories and knowledge have not been told by Kobe, damn
And didn’t age well, really forced to share for comfort 😓
Excellent metaphor!

I respect the fact that Stephen Jackson always gave Kobe love when Kobe was still alive. Most people only do that when someone has passed and only do so out of hindsight. As Stephen once said back in 2018, "I would never let anybody disrespect Kobe in my presence"
I watch this interview every few months. I miss Kobe so much, the only player/star/celebrity who’s death that made me cry.

Kobe saying I thought you did win the MVP to Stephan instantly became the highlight of his playing career that's how highly regarded Kobe was by his peers RIP Mamba!!
As a lifelong Spurs and NBA fan, two takeaways. 1) I could listen to Kobe talk all day long about his personal interactions with MJ. Their connection, similarities, and differences are just so interesting and fun. And 2) to hear Kobe speak about San Antonio with so much reverence just means so much as a Spurs fan watching that rivalry for all those years. He contributed to so many amazing memories for each of those respective team’s franchises. They dominated the NBA for nearly 20 years. Kobe will truly be missed! #RIP
Real shit im from Detroit but a Spurs fan too
I always give the Spurs the props they deserve. Those series were really the NBA Finals

RIP Kobe Bryant! I grew up watching him like everyone else. I still remember game 7 from 2010 like was yesterday :(
Facts 💯
ill take those 5 rings!!
Eso es lo sierto IN SPANISH
kobe tried to tell harden his style of play won't win rings.
Gregory Hayes it wont, dribble dribble dribble three dribble dribble free throw isnt it. Kobe was two dribbles get to his spot and score. Harden completely slows down any offense.
It’s such a shame he doesn’t walk this earth anymore.
He was so much more then basketball and I believe he was just hitting his stride as far as the mark he would have left on this world.
Bigger shame is the fact that those young girls never got the chance to find their true selves yet.. 13 is insanely young to pass🤦🏽♂️ I’m only 16, but i’m almost a completely different person than to when i was 13.. and i still don’t know my total true self yet

It’s incredible what he did with his life in such a short amount of time. He passed way too soon, but did more with his short time than most of us could do with 1000 years.

Kobe was a modern age true Sage.
So sad to have a cry babie thinking that he's the GOAT and he doesn't hold a candle to Kobe. We need more mamba mentality.
R. I. P. KOBE
Nobody will read this I’m sure, but I remember watching this after it came out, and then a few weeks later going on a work trip. My flight landed in Chicago 2 hours after the incident, so I remember walking off the airplane into the hotel lobby and seeing grieving and I didn’t know why. Until I saw a TV, which was showing the news.
As a lifelong basketball fan (but not even necessarily a Kobe-particular fan compared to others beforehand) beginning to cry in the airport, because regardless of my prior fandom of the athlete (he was always beating my team, so that’s why I didn’t pull for him, because of how good he truly was), I was a big fan of the man, Kobe Bryant.
This was a tough one. There will never be another like him.

@@Izm_Skizm asuch as I love Kobe he was the best Jordan impersonator. For everything Kobe did MJ did it better which is why he gets left out.
That's also why LeBron will ultimately be left out. When you look at LeBron as an individual he's higher than Kobe but Kobe was a winner.
@@KidBowsur I'm overrated tbh. MJ is better but Kobe was a better 3PT shooter. Gap between MJ and Kobe isn't that far. That is why Jordan himself said Kobe is the only guy worth comparing himself to.

Bruhh!! Kobe was DEFINITELY super comfortable here in this interview. You got to see a much more relaxed, laid back, & more genuine Kobe right here.
The beginning is basically giving Kobe his flowers while he can still smell them and not when he passed they truly loved this man!

Kobe was really a different human being. Love this guy. I cried real tears when it happened. He felt like a family member and I never even met the guy before. Mannn😤
I can barely cry but when Kobe gone, I couldn’t control myself. My kids had to console me. Love you Kobe!
Bruh- my sister messaged me, “are you good?” I was like, huh! Then she sent me the live feed! I was done for a good minute! And I’ve been a Lakers fan since ‘86!
I love that Kobe didn’t do typical media stuff for Retired players when he stopped playing basketball (podcast on the game, sitting on a panel breaking down every game with current players, etc.).
He was Kobe.. he had to navigate a new course and set a new path.
Writing books for kids
Won an Oscar
Coaching kids
And so many more projects he was probably planning that we’ll probably never know about.
Paulo Coelho had come out and said he was deleting how far they had gotten in a joint venture of a new book because it was senseless without him now (the day of his death). I wonder how much more we would have seen from him.

I live in Asia, it was night time then when Kobe, Gigi and all those with them passed away. I remember lying in bed, and I was struggling to sleep, turning right and left. Then I decided to turn on my phone, and when I read the news, my heart stopped. I never really cared when celebrities died, except for maybe a few, like Robin Williams for example. @Mamba out wth are you talking about?? Dude, it’s Well Documented that Kobe Helped RECRUIT RON and MATT!! Stop trying to be funny with your DRY as a Bone Ass Humor, Playa!!!
This quote from another player makes me think of Kobe.
"Don't judge me until you know me. Don't underestimate me until you challenge me. And don't talk about me until you've talked to me."
The Jones Family I found that Kobe recruited Barnes, not artest. Well, it does not matter and I don’t give two shits. The whole point is they transited from hating Kobe to respecting his game due to his undeniable work ethics.
