At 39 min Kobe speaks of the evolution of his goals. When he was young he aimed to be the best ever to do it - that was his primary motivating factor. Then his career progressed he realized that no matter what he did everyone would have an opinion on who is "the best ever" so it's a subjective goal. He began to focus on his teammates. He went from 'me' to 'we, how can we be the best we can be. ' Inspiring others.

14:05-15:24 is the difference between champions and people that go thru the motions or just enough to get by... I wish I would have learned this kind of mentality as a kid, because life would have turned out differently for me, in basketball. Thank you for your life Kobe. I had a dream about him and that dream made me do some research on him beyond basketball and that helped me in dirt and dark place I was in. I realized it’s ok to be in that dark place as long as you’re working hard on yourself to get out. There will be pain but you have to find a way to bare that pain. You work on yourself the same way you do at any craft you want to master. You must master yourself, that’s the most important mastery of all. Thats the hero’s journey. That’s the message I got. I hope I can learn more so I can find more tools to get out into the light. That will be my win, my own personal 5,6,7 championship rings. Thank you for your life 🙏

RIP Kobe! Thank you for inspiring and motivating me every single day to work hard on myself and never be satisfied with anything less than being the best! I made a tribute video on my channel in your honor. I hope it shows some of the inspiration that you have given me over the last years, Black Mamba...

Why weren't we listening. I can't find another Athlete like this one. Also, Jeet Kune Do - (Bruce Lee), his devotion to family, but mostly, he loved his fans and always considered the kids' experience. Darnit.

be nice if they make a TEDxTalk with just KOBE alone, i wanna hear more about kobe, and listen to what hes got to say. KOBE is what made us view this not the host or whoever he is.
