How to modify a Lexmoto Venom 125

- This is quite a lengthy video explaining how to modify a lexmoto venom however the information and advice in this video will still apply to all the lexmotes and even all other motorcycles in general as its the same concept.
i will go into detail on how to make your 125 have more power, better acceleration, make the bike ride and feel smother, improve handling and generaly impove the look of the bike.

I'm nearly 50 and been buggering about with bikes for years, my sons mate has just bought one of these so I thought I'd look at some videos...
I'm very impressed with the logical, reasonable and well thought out modifications which you presented very well and more importantly, honestly. No bull about releasing extra horses or touching a ton with your head down; just making it a nice smooth and useable ride.
I know kids get a hard time so, credit where it's due, well done you!

hey dan. nice bike mate got same 1 and gonna do some mods as u have done. would u know how to stop the red warning light after u hit about 55mph? and wats the top speed r u getting out of the bike. cheers mate

hi there I have just watched your video on everything you've done on your venom looks good and sounds great I have just brought one myself but can't do anything on it at the moment but seems a good bike thou but what rear sprocket are you using
Thank you and its the stock rear sprocket there is no point in changing it
Matee, What air filter did you run with the cg carb?? And did you upjet that carb when you first got it?

quick question mate i have 2 hoses coming of my carb not connected to anything, 1 at the bottom and 1 at the side?
are they both overflow im pretty sure the bottom 1 is not sure on the 1 at the side? any help would be great man

Hey dan love the video watched it many times i just have a question i own a lexmoto viper as we know the two are really simular but im trying to buy a pair of green shorty levers for my bike but cant get the right fit any ideas ??

I do like the look of them I'd want to upgrade the exhaust and jets but don't think I could trust my self doing it

Hi I got a 69 plate venom 125sk 125 e4 can u send me a list of things u have put on ur bike and have you ever had a problem getting bike in to gear when it’s warm it’s ok when cold
Take off the rear pillion pegs and handles they add a lot of discrete excess weight, i noticed slightly faster acceleration after. Nice vid, keep sharing your progress
I dont want to do that as i dont like how it looks with the wholes under the seat and you can only remove one of the pegs as the brake fluid tub is connected to it, also tbh i doubt it would actually make a noticeable wait reduction leading to better speed as they probably only weigh a few pound which is the same as how heavy your clothes are and whats in your bag
really you noticed faster acceleration from a 0.3% mass reduction... SHUT THE FUCK UP?
This bike is quite big for a 125.

Hi Mainly eBay for the little bits then CMPO or scooter works for the rest and I taught myself really just bought the bike knowing basically nothing and learnt along the way and thanks pal to bad I sold the bikes and it’s been written off now

nice vid, but one tip my man, make a list of the mods and make sure to go trough each one specifically before jumping onto the next, cause altho i appreciate the passion for the bike, you are a little all over the place and its a lil bit hard to follow
Any advice on removing the airbox, tried today but not a clue on which way to remove it jus seems to hit which ever way I try to pull it out.

DansMod Shop it’s rattling inside. It’s like it’s popped out and just rattling about in the top head of engine
Aaron Connor that won’t be your piston it’s your valves just take it to a garage and get your valve timing done and should be fine it’s a 10min job
DansMod Shop I had already taken to someone and they could hear it and it sounds like it’s rattling in tip barrel.

Hey my lexmoto only goes 55mph ?! My 20 year old Honda city fly only went 55 but the acceleration was much better this bike is just a cheap run around getting a 1000cc faser for fun.
how much would it cost to get the 108 jet done? can I get garage to do it ? and the pipe removed egr pipe and new exhaust fitted ? estamated price for all of it plus garage fee

Quick note, the tail tidy modifications done here are illegal. There is no licence plate light and no rear reflector. Both of these things are an MOT failure.
You can do it and may well be OK and never get pulled, but just be warned.
I have a lexmoto venom in blue/white. totally stock and it runs fine but the speedo mount /light area vibrates a lot. any ideas anyone?

No leave it open or your engine will blow

but i seal the 1 on the carb
+Jeff Wass its alright, what it does is it lets excess pressure out the crankcase hence why its called a crankcase breather and if you blocked it up the pressure would build very high and something with have to give out

They are all bought from different websites and things or made to fit so i can't remember all of them, alot are universal parts anyway, sorry i cant help but try looking on ebay for the parts you want

I do find that my venom bogs a bit when snapping the throttle open is that a bit rich or lean
Thats because its lean from the factory
I see that there is a screw on the outside at the front of the carb do I need to adjust it at all if so in or out please
Thats the idle screw all it does it effect your idle rpm
Not the one on the right side of the carb but sits in front of the float bowl

I just got the xtr s downpipe and it doesn't fit, the threads from the engine are too spaced apart

Thank you! oh another odd question since we have the same bike i have a carb question. it is well easy to find the idle screw but where the hell is the air fuel mixture screw? please don't tell me it is one of those silly internal screw where i have to strip the carb to change the mixture.
+Christopher Morris if you watch my other carb rebuilding video it will explain very well but its on the bottom of the carb and should be around 2 turns out from lightly seated

Valentin Gabriel can't see why it's only going 50? I got a se in October last year up till now I have around 5000 miles on it with a new sprocket chain set new hub and a different carb before the carb I was able to achieve 70+ on it till around 80 when it maxed, check your valve clearance that could be hindering your speed.
This is my second se...first one had accident and both was running 50 miles maximum
Valentin Gabriel seriously can't see what the problem is, have you tinkered with the valve clearance as I ran in to a problem with mine two weeks after buying mine as it wasn't serviced even though I had left it in for it.
I got the same bike but the se version and its done 2000 miles, there's no way it can still be lean right?
Idle rpm is really low, it cuts out all the time, even when I've been riding for 30 mins, you pull in the clutch to decelerate at a junction and it cuts out.
As a noob, what kind of things can I do myself to improve it?

Your bike looks savage.
No matter how miles its done its not going to tune its self so no it is 100% still lean and turn the idle screw up on the side of the carb
You dont have the choke on do you while riding? having the choke near enough fully open will cause this to happen.

Mine runs fine. Not got it for speed, got it for cruising about and it does it brilliantly, if i want something faster ill buy a 600cc
