Lexmoto Viper 125cc: First Ride

This blue Viper will be my first ever motorcycle. I did a one day training lesson (£220) on a Honda 499cc motorcycle earlier in February of this year and while it was enjoyable, I didn't feel confident riding it. Constantly felt unbalanced. At one point during a practice u-turn, the bike fell onto the floor and onto half of my leg and boot. Nearly put myself in hospital but luckily, just a bruise that healed up in no time. Now I've decided to purchase this Viper motorcycle from a local dealership, stick some l-plates onto it, and practice for a whole year or a number of months until I feel confident enough to pass the Module 1 & 2 tests with it. I plan to own this motorcycle long-term, and look after it as much as possible. I may upgrade to a bigger bike at a much later date. But for now, I must learn lots on this one as I'm pretty much a complete noob to motorcycling, but I know I enjoy the hobby. Got all of the required protective (color-matching) gear, security-related stuff, and already put a deposit down, just need to pay the rest and get the bike delivered sometime after the 3rd April. :) Going to be fun.
very sensible approach sorry if that sounded condescending but I know what you mean- just interested to see how you getting on as I am in exactly the same boat.
@@MadOldBikerended up buying an Yamaha MT-125 125cc motorcycle instead, and been happily riding it since May 2020. I'm glad that I went for this bike instead as this viper one is a chinese bike and has less quality parts. The MT-125 has served me well so far, with travelling to and back from work as well as quite a few adventure trips across England.

Amazing bike 340 mike round trip for a holiday hit 70mph only took £20 of petrol on the cst tyres and stock chain thank you so much for creating an AMAZING strong well balanced amazingly responsive and really reasonably priced bike don’t ever change what you do far from any China bike I’ve ever ridden better than the big brands so thank you for my amazing viper

Got this 3 weeks ago,put an akrapovic exhaust on it and it changed the whole game,wish the speakers were better,beside that,it's a great bike.

Looking at one of these. What are service intervals. Dealer said 3 services in first 6 months. So £50 then 2 lots of £85. I only do 30 miles a week on my commute
You should get a mic that you can use with your helmet off. Your breathing is scary like Darth Vader. Btw those two grand motorbikes are superb. Two grand! They made cheapie 125s back in the day (MZs and CZs) but they were rubbish.

I left a review a year ago I now have 16000 miles on mines it’s suffered a car ramming me in the rear and went flying and a bus cut me up so I had to ditch it as not even them big ass brakes where going to stop me in time in the pissing rain and besides cosmetic damage the bike is still going strong best 2000£ I’ve ever spent ile ride it I did think about a bigger bike but this still pulls to 70mph and can’t even go faster on a motorway so no real need for more it carries 2 people it 25 stone ish combined all day every day and most shocking is yes I’ve done the chain and brake pads but the cst tire is still holding up very well only rust is on the stands and that’s only surface rust love this bike it’s been through hell and still everything’s fine think when and if it ever dies I’m sticking with lexmoto

Im buying the lexmoto viper efi 125cc for £1999 it looks like an amzing bike, is the musci loud on it and what is the top speed?
Music is not too bad and it does about 70 mph

Just bought a viper and my pillion seat cover is not releasing the key is turning but the seat is not releasing any ideas why or how to fix it ?
My cable had come out of the of its place soon fixed tho

Honda gold Wing was the first bike with a sound system
Had my venom se nearly 2 years now only thing that went wrong was the tail light replaced for free by dealer I can certainly say after owning a 2 stroke for many years and also having to fix it owing a lexmoto has opened my eyes to the quality of these bikes might not win any races but reliable and cheap on fuel with good looks to boot always get comments about my bike . Are you going to do a review of the new hawk ?

It's James here! We're due to get out on the Adrenaline EFI but have been focusing on the brand new models. Fundamentally the difference between the Euro 3 and EFI versions are the tyre tread, Digital display, Fuel injection and Combined braking.
Can you get one without the music player?
Sadly we are currently only focused on producing the Viper with the MP3 Player and speakers. We appreciate this may not be for everyone but believe this would be a great boost to our model range showing the public a different aspect of Lexmoto which we hope would entice the public to start a playlist on the Ipod and enjoy riding the open road :)
Did you guys have to recall the hawk because of issues with braking?
We issued a recall on the Hawk because we wished to revise the CBS system for an alternative. The brakes worked ok before but we identified improvements which we felt were vital.
We actually modified the braking system on the Hawk to the same arrangement as on the Viper we have in the above video.
That's correct, however, the last couple of weeks, a new component has been dispatched to be fitted onto all customers Hawks.
I am stuck. Help me out. My first bike. I like the Lexmoto Monza scooter and also the Lexmoto Viper bike. Which is best for me?. Which one do you recon? I am 6ft and 19 stones.

You said its a beginner bike, when will Lexmoto branch into non-beginner bikes or start adding bikes to yhere range with over 9kw of power as its putting me off because I do a lot of commuting at high speeds at 70mph so it would be nice to cruise comfortably without revving lots just going 70mph.
+andy gilchrist No 125cc bike of any brand can cruise at 70mph many can only just about reach that speed without sounding like you are revving the bollocks off it and wont last long if you keep pushing it to that end. The only 125cc bike i know of that can cruise at 70mph is the honda varadero and maybe a hyosung gtr125 as both are vtwins. Other than that if you want to cruise at 70mph buy a bigger bike. Lexmoto specialize in learner legal bikes and they have already made that clear numerous times. Although it would be nice if lexmoto created it own vtwin.
Hi Andy, We're considering the introduction of some 250-300 models for next year so stay tuned for further details.
We might have a 250 v Twin for next year but there are no plans for a v twin 125. To be honest I think the emissions standards have put an end to the v-twin 125cc models being any good.

How far can this bike take me kilometers per liter? (or miles per gallon)
I think about 80 to 100 miles per gallon
My friend has this bike have you had any problems with the front brake locking up on its own?
My freinds bike has been in the garage 3 times now twice with the brakes and now it's back in with its electrics fried

I baught a new viper over a week ago to find i cant have it because it failed its pre delivery inspection. My dealer is struggling to get the parts. Still waiting? Master brake cilinder. Have i made a bad choice choosing lexmoto?

Hi just orderd this bike and was due to collect it satday but it failed its pdi and ime waiting for parts? Is it normal for a brand new bike to fail pdi(pre delivery inspection?
Hi John, I am sorry to hear of the PDI failure , we would advise you to contact your dealer with whom you made the purchase who will be able to advise you, I know it is frustrating for you and I sympathise with you however the PDI has served its purpose here and has highlighted an issue that the dealer is correcting before letting you collect the bike, the dealer has your safety in mind when carrying out this check, I hope the bike is ready for you soon and you can begin to enjoy it, best regards

The low horsepower is good, because for a newcomer to motorcycles, speed should be the last thing on a person's list. It's all about learning how to manoeuvre the bike at low speed without any fear of losing balance and falling off. Once you're confident enough, and riding comfortably, only then will you feel the need for speed, and want to upgrade to something more bigger. Going straight for a 600cc bike, without any prior riding experience is just silly really, and will most likely end up with the bike hitting the floor in little to no time at all lol.
