If you have trouble holding the spring compressed during re-fit, a general trick is to use a couple of bits of thin thread or fine wire as a temporary spring press, and then remove it when job done - may save things flying off at the wrong moment, and some blue language. Mike.

@@garystables7173 you can but for the price the slides are people just buy them. But if you want to cut them down its at your own risk. I bought one simply as I don't have any good cutting tools. It's about half the size but I know you would need the measurements.
Unfortunately alot of people are in the position. Again I won't be taking apart again in a good while. I did intend on measuring but installed with excitement without doing it
You can buy all parts including de restricted slide(if in stock) off of CMPO. Have a look around or go onto lexmoto owners FB page you can usually find a discount code. I've moved onto bigger bikes now passing full license but this was a cracking bike to start with. But did have it's problems.
@@adrianloveless4077 tbh not much a few extra mph. Just faster getting there. If your over 17 and want more speed the best way is to get a 125. Unless your 16 or like myself who was stuck on a moped license there's not much point.

What was the top speed after ?
50 to 60mph
can you do the same to the echo
I'm not sure. The carb may be ever so slightly different. Plus the echo being a Scooter may be restricted by the CDI.
