Hello, In This Video I Go Over How To Use FSD in Your Tesla - Tesla How To Change Full Self Driving Settings - Tesla How To Set FSD With or Without Stalks Model 3 Model Y Model S Model X Example Step by Step Instructions, Guide, Tutorial, Video Help
In this video I walk through the step by step guide, instructions, tutorial on how to use and set up FSD Full Self Driving in your Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X. I Hope This Video Helped! Please subscribe for more!
After 2 weeks of fsd at $99 I’ve decided to subscribe…
Thanks. Just got v12 free download. We own multiple teslas and have never used FSD. Drove it today. 9.5/10.
Did you update from 2024.8.7 branch or not?
Tried this on highway and for parallel parking. This is amazing 🎉 mind blowing technology!!! As long as the driver stays alert, this is sooooo convenient 🍾
Short and touched all the important points, thanks.
I learned several new things from this, thanks!
Glad to hear it!
What I liked was taking a long trip (7-hours) using FSD and arriving actually rested and relaxed. I always thought that it was the long-drive that made me exhausted after such trips when actually it was the stress of being "switched on" driving for those hours. FSD is amazing.
Great video with good information. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
That’s what I was waiting for
Thanks
Happy to help!
Always on time
Thanks for the video. Straightforward. I hope fsd becomes available for all teslas
I have been using the FSD for 5 days now - went on a very long trip (6hrs one way) and the FSD made the entire drive way more comfortable - I haven’t figured out how to get it to park in my driveway at home - it just pulls up to the curb
Perhaps you could try dropping a pin on the map exactly where you want the car to end up in your driveway when navigating to it. Something to try 👍
I tried FSD on my new Model Y but the car keeps prompting me to hold the wheel. Is that normal? I find the usefulness dubious if I have to grab the wheel every minute.
It’s because if you don’t touch it then the car thinks you passed out and the car will stop on the side of the road and you will be banned from using FSD
CAUTION! Worked great on the road, took me from Chicago to Michigan with no issues........city driving was dangerous, It tried to turn left from the middle lane in front of a turning school bus. Then it shut off in the middle of a turn and had me going right toward the curb. Could not get into a turn lane because of traffic, then tried to do so in the middle of the intersection in front of other turning cars. Have shut it off and will continue driving on my own.
Appreciate the vid! New sub, great job!
Solid video
Thanks. Good job.
Thanks for watching!
Genius 😊
I just used the FSD, and I love it!
Thanks!
Thank you 😊
Rush mix. You rock.
Love Rush
Great video. Tks
Now Tesla needs to drop the price to $100 a month. At that price they would make so much more vs the very few that buy it for $16000 cnd.
Just dropped to $99/mo
Please talk more about switching between autopilot and FSD
If you're using FSD it's just 1 pull down on right stalk now....used to be 2 pulls down. If you want to switch back to autopilot, you have to do so in the menu when you're stopped
I seriously doubt you’ll ever switch back to Autopilot. 👍🏻
Good primer. I had to recalibrate my camera. Are most V12 users having to do the same?
Please elaborate.
It took you through camera calibration after enabling FSD?
Lol. Well that will work for me!! Glad they listened (haha)
my tesla does lane changes all on its own, no cars around, just driving down the highway and the left turn signal activates and starts a lane change, and, is there any way to have cruise control on without FSD? I now have the one click on and the rest has been greyed out on my ui.
Do you have to input address on your navigation do it can autopilot to your destination?
you can do it over voice command, type in the address in the navigation search, or dropped a pin on the map with your finger
@@teslahowtoOr send it from a/your phone!
@@teslahowto Thx, just used fsd the other day and it was amazing. I can say that its safer than human operating the vehicle.
This is very nice, but honestly, as long as I have to remain attentive and be prepared to take control at all times, I might as well drive the damn car myself.
Yeah, I largely feel the same, unless I'm going on a long trip
Does it follow gps if you set it to a destination? While on FSD?
Yes
Does FSD perform differently if I have my Model S in Chill, Sport or Plaid mode?
I don't think so
Will the FSD display show on the main screen of Model S, or will it only be on the driver display?
driver display i believe
@@teslahowtoCorrect, and unfortunate.
Tesla should make the center screens identical in S/3/X/Y and put something extra on the X/S driver’s display.
We have a 3 and S. Prefer the single screen 3 interface A LOT, passengers too! And switching between the two is a bit of a PITA too.
I recently updated to software 2024.8.7, and am still waiting for update 2024.3.6 or 2024.3.10 so I can try out FSD v12.
If my MY has maximum range of say 300. Will using FSD decrease it to 250? 200? Does FSD use a lot of battery?
No, it doesn't use much
How do we just go back to regular “cruise control”? I can’t seem to just do cruise control anymore
in the autopilot settings in the menu, click on cruise crontrol option if you have it selected on FSD. You can only change this setting when parked
I had driving mode set to chill, but the acceleration was still too fast (from 🛑 to speed limit). Is there a way I can change the acceleration speed? Also I found out that Tesla camera didn't see potholes. It was day time and the potholes were big, my model Y went over the potholes in full speed without slowing down
Yes this question needs to be answered!
Yeah, turn off automatic set speed in the settings. You'll get more control over the speed this way
@@teslahowto Thanks for responding but the only setting I saw was Automatic Set Speed Offset which was in Off mode by default. I turned it on but there was no difference in acceleration from stop to speed limit (still felt like riding a roller coaster)
Set your car to Chill acceleration.
@@tommornini2470it was already set to chill acceleration
Do you need internet connection for the FSD to work?
No
I was a passenger before in my friends Tesla while they used FSD. I recently got my Y and tried it and it is interesting, but I dont get the need for it when you have to pay attention still. Makes no sense.
Agreed, it's interesting, but certainly not necessary...maybe some day it'll be unsupervised, but we aren't there yet
Trust me, it makes sense.
You’re safer and less fatigued when you offload the vehicle navigation and control to the computer, and just monitor your local surroundings.
Sometimes I don’t even know where I’m at - but I always know I’ll get there!
You get to see more of the world, pay more attention to the beautiful sound system, and know that you have an extremely attentive extra set of eyes on the road.
We’ve had 11 hour drives on road trips, and were not radically fatigued at the end of the day, ready to go out to dinner with our hosts afterward.
I say “we” because my life loves FSD too, for the same reasons I do, and we both agree we’re much more comfortable when the other is driving with FSD.
So much less chance of one of us making a silly mistake or loosing focus for a second causing major repercussions!
@@tommornini2470 I see what you are saying but from my uses so far, I dont get that. There are trade offs in safety in that you could think you are more safe and do things that take away from the driving such as looking at the environment and not really the road. Checking other things outside of the drive. If the safety is in full force in a car, I would think it would be more safer where the driver is fully driving and the safety features are working in parallel to that. As if you are in FSD and indeed something comes up that requires you to take control, that split second to react and also potentially what to react to could cause issues. I think i agree in 11 hour drive or so, it could help fatigue, I would have to put that to the test. You can not lose focus on the road anyways so it is not like you can rest rest while driving. But I do agree with people that might be sleepy, FSD does help. But again, my point was to me, it makes not a whole lot of sense when you need to pay attention still. And that is just coming from the standpoint of daily commute and personal activities standpoint, which is 99% of most of our driving habits.
@@danielkim672 I recommend against guessing how much fatigue will be reduced before putting it to the test.
Basically everyone who becomes comfortable with it agrees, of course YMMV.
@@tommornini2470 i have used it in everyday driving before. Doesnt help with fatigue in daily driving. I do not have a long drive planned coming up, but next time I will use it to see how I like it. See if it is worth the money. In the past, I realized people said FSD is so great as they sunk so much money to be guinea pig beta testers they didnt want to look like a smuck holding the bag for Elon lol. There was a minority of people that loved Tesla like me that was like, what is the big deal lol. My mind has not changed but in the future it might as we get to full autonomous.
how safe was this FSD? im pretty sure it can drive, stop, turn and do all the basic driving.
What happen some idiot try cut lane, do unnecessary merge into your lane. You either let him pass you or speed up to prevent him get an accident.
It's pretty good, but there's no doubt you have to monitor it and correct any mistakes. It's safer than just regular driving imo, it sees things that I don't sometimes
How do you turn on just cruise control when you have a FSD vehicle?
can't as of now...in autopil;ot features you can switch from FSD to traffic aware cruise control
How is fsd during night time driving?
It's as good as it is during the day in general... It can also be helpful that there's generally less traffic to compete with at night
How can we get it on the M3 Highland?
My uncle who owns a model Y called the Tesla service center today and they said they're rolling it out in waves over time, so we won't know for sure but everyone, at least with newer Tesla's will get it eventually.
i did not make it out of my residential area, feels like a teenager driving with 1 eye blind
Haven't received mine yet on my 2023 Model 3
Me either
It's coming. They're sending out in waves
My TM3LR is only at v11.1(2024.8.8 xxxxxxx) I have not got the free FSD trial. I am sad.
Yes, I checked the Wifi and that is fine. Just no update for me.
I still don't have FSD v12 even though I purchased a '21 Model S with FSD. 😐
I heard about that for some S and X owners...it stinks, hope they get it sooner than later

There is No Way my Family is getting in that car
That’s it, teach your family to fear tech.
Hell, teach them to fear everything.
The best way to learn is to avoid experience, right?
That is what Eugene said from his horse carriage in 1910
I know how to turn it on. you Wait until its a safe and viable product. Then buy it and turn it on. Until then, it's crap. ty
Still waiting please
Only relevant in the US. Tesla is not doing anything for us in Europe.
Truly irresponsible technology endangering drivers and innocident people around them . There goes your insurance rates
Supervise FSD has a much lower crash rate than the average vehicle crash rate 👍
Every time Tesla adds a safety feature, our rates go DOWN. Keep dreaming.
Silly comment
Truly DUMB response.
You must be a ICE person don’t be jealous
