Thallanar Rabidtooth i always imagine its some Elf lady in Ashenvale singing, and it doesn't matter how hard you try to find her or pinpoint the location where the sound is coming from, you just cant. That makes it mystical! i always used to Ctrl+M there until this music came on while running through there :D
Thallanar Rabidtooth It is Elune the one who sing's it. If you read the Wow book's and follow the lore then, you will see why and what this song mean's to her. She is singing this song to a human who gaved he's life for her .
Yeah, what i miss is old dun morogh. I remember leveling a dwarf priest (fear ward 4thewin(i knew it from beta^^)) with my 2 friends, one of them being a warrior and the other one being a hunter. i was just totally hiped for the whole game, and when i saw the whole country(i mean dun morogh), it was a very big thing in my life. I remember when we arrived at loch modan. It was SO GOOD. Like we never imagined that giant pool. The other one being like loch modan was stranglethorn. We felt like real hunters(while we didnt know about hakkar ^^) after killing bangalash, because he was the king of stranglethorn! And then months later we were told about hakkar and lost our faith... xD but dammit i wish i could do this once more :) i might invite my friends to play again =)
@@pogiskerdezz omg, bangalash. He was the first white STRIPED tiger i ever saw, and i was late 20s or early 30s, a nelf hunter named Homelessboy from caelastrasz. I loved exploring and taming animals. When i laid eyes on Bangalash(i was just barely starting the nessingwary quest(never finished them)) i HAD to have him. In my server, on the alliance side, within my level bracket i at that current time, i was the only one with a white STRIPED tiger, since you vould get spotted ones at lvl 10 in dun morogh. All of my other hunter friends were SOOOOO JELLY. I genuinely took pride in the fact that i tamed bangalasg, since it took me MANY attempts to do so. Ohhhhhhh, the nostalgia...
11. Keep going back to WoW because you believed the lie Blizzard keeps telling you every time there is a new patch or expansion that everything will be better. 12. Few months later when you're disappointed, blame Blizzard and keep playing WoW anyway. 13. Few months later stop playing WoW, crying even harder because even though the game sucks the nostalgia makes you want to play again. Everyone WoW player out there. Q_Q
damn, You have no idea how much i want to go back in time, just to have that feeling of adventure and exploring every inch of Azeroth all over again... nostalgia !
I'm playing for the first time now, lvl 41 at the moment, and that feeling of not knowing what the next zone will be like is so good! when I arrived in Orgrimmar for the first time last week it was one of the most facinating moments I have experienced!
The WoW theme made this game great. The music, The immersion, The Warmth, and the community back then. If only we could get Legacy servers... The glory days would be back!!! A true wow player will always feel butterflies while listening to these soundtracks.
Getting Legacy Servers won't bring back the old community, they'll just put the current childish community in a more tedious version of the current game, and eventualy those servers will be unpopulated.
nah, retail fanboys just say that. Nostalrius was far overpopulated and I even though I have many 100 i enjoyed MUCH more playing my 2 60s there. RIP nostalrius
Nobody is talking about WoD here. WoD is objetively shit, but that doesnte make legacy servers a good idea. Thay have to make good new expansions instead of relaunching the old ones. Vanilla was over unballanced and had a poor gameplay. Leveling was the only oood thing.
Its gotta be done. 1:56 For ten thousand years, the immortal night elves cultivated a druidic society within the shadowed recesses of Ashenvale Forest. Yet recently, the catastrophic invasion of the Burning Legion shattered the tranquility of their ancient civilization. Led by the Arch-Druid Malfurion Stormrage and the Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind, the mighty night elves rose to challenge the demonic onslaught. Though victorious, the night elves were forced to sacrifice their cherished immortality and watch their beloved forests burn. Seeking to regain their immortality, a number of wayward druids conspired to plant a special tree that would link between their spirits to the eternal world. Despite Malfurion's warnings, that "nature would never bless such a selfish act", the druids planted the great tree, Teldrassil, off the stormy coasts of northern Kalimdor. Within the twilight boughs of the colossal tree, the wondrous city of Darnassus took root. However, the great tree was not consecrated with nature's blessing and soon fell prey to the corruption of the Burning Legion. Now the wildlife and even the limbs of the great tree itself are tainted by a growing darkness. As one of the few night elves still left in the world, it is your sworn duty to defend Darnassus and the wild children of nature against the Legion's encroaching corruption.
The first part of this track... one of the most powerful nostalgia effects! I remember sometimes staying still in the middle of Teldrassil just listening... and feel the peace flow through me
This song reminds me of buffing random people i'd come across in ashenvale, helping them finish off anything they were fighting, getting the occasional ganker; who back then, was only around level 30.. I started playing this game because i loved wc3 and the raids that went on against the factions. Vanilla wasn't perfect but it's a lot better then what it is now. Back then you could take part in the daily Southshore raids at level 38, even lower if you had other people with you. Now 90's spawn...
It's been almost 3 years since I left the game from boredom but even to this day I still think back at the many good experiences I had. Even though it may never be the same to me, I'll probably keep these memories for the rest of my life...
Ohhhh yeah. When I look back on those long trips it used to take to get from here to there, especially at lower level, I miss it sometimes just due to the epicness of being in a new world. The other part of me looks back and says thank God I have a flying mount now.
you are so true, the first time you enter the world of warcraft with all its advertures, it's just one big magical epicness, and be super proud on your level 60 character :D now it's all about super fast questing and grinding in dungeons with dungeon finder, new players dont even know summoning stones and where dungeon lay... that was just what made the game so enchanting
reminds me in 2006 leveling a night elf warrior for the first time, grinding in ashenvale... this makes me so depressed thinking about it for some reason.
I played this game for more than 15 years. The emotions coming with this song are amazingly beautiful yet so saddening. Can barely express what I feel when hearing this one.
its amazing how blizzard created a game where you actually made memories inside the game, and became emotionally attached to it in a way. its also pretty harmful in a way, keeping people glued to their screens for hours on end.
When I hear this particular track I think of leveling in Ashenvale in November of 2004 on my troll warrior. I was around level 22 or something, and I found a troll rogue in the area named Anicode. I remember we ran up and sat on this extended branch over one of the little lakes in the zone, just because we thought it was cool. We leveled together for a week or so, and then I never saw him/her again. I really, really miss the glory Vanilla days of WoW. Everthing was an adventure.
6:55 till the end almost makes me tear up!i miss how fun it was exploring wow and how everything was a mystery and how the night elve place was so unique, it bothers me how it will never be the same.
OMG this brings back so many memories... i was visitin my cousin in america when i was 8 yrs old and he introduced me to the world of gaming. my first character was a priest nightelf named Underterror and i made friends with 2 brothers from south africa, i always remember being enchanted by the graphics and music ^_^ this is the best
One day when im older, after world of warcraft fades deep into my mind, i will hear this song and it will bring me way way back, it will be like a dream i once had. Nostalgia.
Ahh..songs like these make me remember the good ol' Pre-TBC days, where me and a mate went on an epic journey (it was for us) from Stormwind to The Barrens to tame a wild cat. Such brilliant moments make me speechless even today. I hope I can re-live days like that again in Bliz' new MMO...
this makes me want to cry.... I remember when i first played i made a night elf hunter and i remember just walking through the forests .... Pre TBC will always be the best time of the game :'(
Oh, Halloween in Brill was always one of my favorite things about the game! The horseman's voice all over the place saying something like, "shelter your weak, your young and your old". Amazing. :3
My first character was a nightelf warrior back in Beta 2004. Oh those days! everything was new and excating! The rush i got from Wow back in 2004-2006 was unbelievable. Don't know if i ever again will have that feeling for a game. Thak you for all the great years! I played 2004-2008. Who knows? Diablo 3 is around the corner... can i get that epic feeling once more?
Remember the first time i played wow on my level 10 Night Elf, running through Ashenvale to explore the horde territory The Barrens, when this soundtrack just started i just felt a magical feeling in my body, wanted to stay on that bridge in Nightsong Woods forever it was so epic! I MISS U VANILLA WOW! :(
I remember when I first came to ashensvale. I was a lvl 11 dwarf paladin who got tired of questing in loch modan, so I headed into wetlands to explore, found the boat, came to DS, then headed south along the trail all the way to the crossroads in the barrens, that's when I had to get off the trail and go around it. That's when I bumped into the goblin and the ogre heading to BB. Once I got on the boat there, I headed north until I made it to SW. The next day, I left loch modan and headed to EPL.
A few years ago.. I was in ashevale and I saw a level 25 undead rogue sitted in the road .. I knew he was earing the music.. I sitted with him and we stood there earing it for an eternity. After sometime he logs out and he makes a char in alliance! That would become my best wow friend, I still do play with him
I really wish the expansions were gone and I could erase my memory of WoW and start over. This reminds me of when I first started this game and made my Night Elf Rogue who is now 85 running around done being fascinated with all of the sights and sounds now that I've seen it all 100 times... Ahh the memories...
Fuck I never was a MMORPG player, but I tried out the 20 days trial one a couple of years ago. Even though I just played the game for a brief moment, this compilation here was struck in my head and it brought back many good memories. Thanks to the uploader, I am now installing WoW again.
You know what makes WoW such an EPIC game? Why is it so addictive ? Because in WoW, we can do what ever we want, we can live, as we want. Because in WoW, we're not being interrupted by our hard, dark and evil real life. In WoW, we see such beautiful zones, which are not on Earth. In WoW we do such things we can't do in our real life. That's what makes it addictive game for those who have hard life, I'm not addicted at all, but I still love WoW. 8th year playing..when I listen to this..epic feel
This brings sooo many memories... :P Was really nice to lvl up my chars in Teldrassil and Ashenvale forest just listening to the music.. :) I always keep wow music playing on the background. I don't understand why many people don't listenn to the musics when they play. :O Musics are just sooo great. :)
Night elves, Eldar...that whole mystical aspect...these tracks capture it better than anything ever will...they are a part of me, and save me every day from the horrors of this godawful mundane world. If there's one thing the guys at blizz did best, it's create the right tunes for the game which capture the essence of the moment perfectly, from starcraft to wow...
I'm Horde for 4 years now, but the thing that makes me come back to WoW whenever I take vacations is Ashenvale. Always. Wish I could live in a place like that.
this music plus the sound effects of the forest in the night elf starting area create such an unparralled epic enchanted effect . i'm sure most who started a nightelf and played it with the music on you were sold to the game right off the bat. (i kinda miss that new player feeling)
Oh the days.. Doing a cluster-fuck raid in Sunwell with a pug. Or a infamously long Kara. run. But my glory days will always be with me in Wrath of the Lich King. I will never forget the experiences I had in Naxxaramas with my first "real" guild. After Cataclysm was released then Pandaria, the heart and soul of WoW used to have, in sense, died. I don't play anymore but, I will never regret the times I had in WoW. At least I can return to the music and reminisce of memories long gone.
Man, you are so true. First it was just a real world with people living in it. Now there are just players speed leveling and then sitting and wait for dungeon finder or BG.... Some people dont even know where dungeons are because they just DF ! I think it is part of the experience, riding your mount to the dungeon with your mates.
god.. I stopped playing WoW like 2 years ago because my social life was suffering =P I never really missed it, but when I listen to this music I remember the great times I had and it makes me nostalgia :')
Magic feeling whenever i hear this. I still play, but every time i hear it, i remember, for a second, how i felt first time when i heard it, long time ago, during early vanila, and the images flash before my eyes. When i was a noob, discovering the world, being amazed with everything, and how i "grew". I remember when i first joined battleground... i felt my heart is going to jump out, first instance, first raid, friends... and so MUCH more. Wish i could feel the same again.
when I first started playing WoW and the song of elune was the first one heard it made everything feel so magical and mysterious. You may think im a nerd but im not kidding it really felt that way...
God... As a former night elf who is now a blood elf, I can't help but be filled with sweet memories whenever I hear this music, or set foot in beautiful Ashenvale, Moonglade, Darkshore or Teldrassil. One of my favorite and most cherished races, with which I started this game
Night elf zones and music is the reason I got hooked on the game, now I'm max level I still get my kicks riding around Ashenvale etc on my frostsaber taking in the scenery and the atmosphere
ashenvale song!! this is the song got me hooked on wow about 7 years ago i miss playing WoW but never going back, WoW is like a drug, been there done that.
My first Night Elf Rogue, MAN MAN MAN, that was a true gaming advanture. So clueless, I was walking around teldrassil doing quests. So here is me thinking, that isle is where all of the stuff is happening. Than I get a quest to go to ''Darkshore'' So I was like, ''HUH?'' Than I opened a map and took a glimpse on a massive world. What an gaming advanture that was, meeting so many people, exploring so many areeas, possiblities. Still play today, but it's not as magically rich as it was back than.
The same here, i started to play at beginning of cata and my first char is a nelf. i love this track and all nelf related tracks. This is the epic of wow. :)
For a long time I havent had music on while playing but for some reason whenever I walk these woods I turn it back on for the sake of that song. Makes me think of old times when WoW hit the shelves and everybody were newbs. The best period of WoW ever.
I still remember when I went with my Orc from the barrens to ashenvale the first time and than this music started and it was just like, make that forest never end.
I renember I was like 11 and I was so proud about my Tauren Hunter and I was unexperienced and didn't knew the world that was awaiting me. I felt like it was SO big and unexplored and then I entered Ashenvale, hearing this.. it was magic.
Wow, my first char was a Nelf rouge. This really brings me back. The fun feeling it was to run around in those forests and kill things and really feel immersed in the game is something i miss dearly, and something thats long gone, especially after BC came out.
This music just seemingly randomly playing while running around, and being greeted by the Stormwind and Ironforge themes as I flew to those cities for the first time, were 'the' moments for me in WoW and what made me want to keep playing. Then, you know, I played it a lot. Grind, dungeon, grind, dungeon, epeen, epeen, epeen. I'll stick to single-player RPGs for my 'moments' and online shooters for my multiplayer games.
after hearing this music again, i had to log in on a pserver and create a n11 again, like my 1st char... it made me almost cry, seeing all this old pictures again and listen to this epic music... :(
I have the game but i never passed lvl 40. Now i remeber how great it was to travel through this huge forest, meeting levels 60 players on their mount and dreaming about the day i would be like them. But i never made it :( .What's important now is that i have good memories about this game and hearing this music makes me happy :)
@SixteenSkye Yea...back in 2004 starting to play WOW it was just unbelievable to have such a HUGE game, with so many possibilities. It was like putting 50 games together. And knowing that there's so much to discover, everything was so mysterious and had a special atmosphere, and the longer you played, the most you discovered and realized that the game is actually even bigger and deeper than you thought before.
I used to scurry over to the Ashenvale moonwell to make my mooncloth directly after Molten Core. The music was soothing and refreshing not to mention the environment, and your at a FUCKING moonwell how can you not be calmed lol
First time as level as level 17 or so I got to Ashenvale in late 2005. Run in to the forest and was owned by spiders and slimes... but the place felt amazing (and scary ofc) thanks to the music.
First character I ever made was a night elf druid and he still lives today! God the nostalgia is real.
YES! This. Ugh.
Does he still live?
I just want 0:00 - 0:45 to play forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first part is from the song Song of Elune. Its not forever but still does the job for me :P
yeah, it's like a variation, pretty good!
Deyan Mollov I like to imagine it's Elune that's singing. She has a divine voice.

One of their most brilliant musical pieces.

DAmn...this brings back old memories, and feelings...so beautyful...
I'm a horde lover for life, but jeez, when I played alliance for the first time as a NE, this music made it so epic.
I'm Horde for 4 years now, but the thing that makes me come back to WoW whenever I take vacations is Ashenvale. Always.
Wish I could live in a place like that.
I met this guy he was really good, we played for a while, thought it was cool. Never saw him again.
this music plus the sound effects of the forest in the night elf starting area create such an unparralled epic enchanted effect .
i'm sure most who started a nightelf and played it with the music on you were sold to the game right off the bat.
Same to me... Miss that Time...
Makes me sad remembering the first impressive moments..... special lifestyle that cant be filled with anything else...
One of my favorite and most cherished races, with which I started this game
oh man teldrassil and ashenvale are 2 of my favorite zones. The sceneary is nice to look at and the music is relaxing
Night elf zones and music is the reason I got hooked on the game, now I'm max level I still get my kicks riding around Ashenvale etc on my frostsaber taking in the scenery and the atmosphere
4:40 the best of the best... omg the nostalgia is real... i remember my first paladine draenei leveling .... T_T
aaah..... remembers me of the good old times, wandering in Teldrassil.. what is this music soo awesome, so magical noise really love it
ashenvale song!! this is the song got me hooked on wow about 7 years ago i miss playing WoW but never going back, WoW is like a drug, been there done that.
I now play RIFT... but i still come back to listen to WoW music and remember them memories of Vanilla :)
BEAUTIFUL!
Wow, this sure awoke some good memories
The same here, i started to play at beginning of cata and my first char is a nelf. i love this track and all nelf related tracks. This is the epic of wow. :)
For a long time I havent had music on while playing but for some reason whenever I walk these woods I turn it back on for the sake of that song.
Makes me think of old times when WoW hit the shelves and everybody were newbs.
The best period of WoW ever.
yeah, i remember when i rolled my NE hunter, never played WoW before. this song brings its all back
I still remember when I went with my Orc from the barrens to ashenvale the first time and than this music started and it was just like, make that forest never end.
I renember I was like 11 and I was so proud about my Tauren Hunter and I was unexperienced and didn't knew the world that was awaiting me. I felt like it was SO big and unexplored and then I entered Ashenvale, hearing this.. it was magic.
the most amazing wow sound, stunning, awesome
Wow, my first char was a Nelf rouge. This really brings me back.
The fun feeling it was to run around in those forests and kill things and really feel immersed in the game is something i miss dearly, and something thats long gone, especially after BC came out.
This music just seemingly randomly playing while running around, and being greeted by the Stormwind and Ironforge themes as I flew to those cities for the first time, were 'the' moments for me in WoW and what made me want to keep playing. Then, you know, I played it a lot. Grind, dungeon, grind, dungeon, epeen, epeen, epeen. I'll stick to single-player RPGs for my 'moments' and online shooters for my multiplayer games.
really good music, makes me relax
after hearing this music again, i had to log in on a pserver and create a n11 again, like my 1st char... it made me almost cry, seeing all this old pictures again and listen to this epic music... :(
I love this. I'm downloading the Whole Soundtrack right now! -3
agree, me too. I am not a WoW player, but listening to this for 2 days now, and longing to have it in mp3.
I have the game but i never passed lvl 40. Now i remeber how great it was to travel through this huge forest, meeting levels 60 players on their mount and dreaming about the day i would be like them. But i never made it :( .What's important now is that i have good memories about this game and hearing this music makes me happy :)
Tauren and NE starting zones are the best,in terms of mood, feel, music and overall epic original WoWness.
God I miss my noob Tauren days..
this brings me back to first character great music!
Run in to the forest and was owned by spiders and slimes... but the place felt amazing (and scary ofc) thanks to the music.
i agree, b4 the expansions came out i loved wow, especially the nelf starting stages, an it was like u were in another world, i miss the old days
Hahhaahha good story :D, i was an undead lock strolling through brill during halloween when i was still a noob, such awesome memories :)
