I have to admit, I get choked up listening to a lot of these songs. It brings me back to my first time walking into Stormwind as a level 5, not knowing what I'm doing. The I walk in and see these big statues all lined up overwhelming me. Such great times playing this game.
I played with friends, huge guilds, small guilds and people from all around the world. So many memories, so many late nights. This music makes my blood rush, i will remember the days in Azeroth for the rest of my life. // Wow player 2004-2009
in Classic WoW, the moment I got off the boat in Wetlands and made the epic journey to Stormwind.. Making it to Stormwind and listening to this music for the first time was nothing short of epic and beautiful, having survived the crocolisk, dragonmaw orcs, and sadistic horde players along the way!!
Hands down the most epic music in the game; that first time you walked into stormwind back in 2004, crossed that bridge, and this started playing. Holy. Shit.
I just had a huge hit of nostalgia from this music... started WoW as a kid in mid-Cata, forced to quit at the tail end of Legion. When I wasn't doing dungeons or questing, I always hung out in Stormwind, listening to this music, seeing the shenanigans in trade chat, seeing what's new on the AH... One day, I'll come back to this game. I don't care how shitty it might get, I'll set foot in such a nostalgic place for me again.
My first time on SW was with my human priest, I saw the amazing gates, this epic music appeared and my computer crashed. I immediately went to the store and upgraded the computer, nothing could stop me! after arriving home, I remember the awesome feeling of seeing breathtaking SW with all its glory...good times that will never return from the game that was never game, it was an epic new world...
I love this song. I just got the piano part to play on Organ but the orchestral arrangement is so much cooler. It oozes "Epic". Props to Jason Hayes for composing this piece.
The first thing that amazed me on day one was walking into Stormwind. I found it so cool that it had so much detail such as being able to go into different shops and buy shit...later I found out what the AH was...
I remember when i first joined WoW 5 years ago, When i entered Stormwind for the first time and seing them epic statues and hearing the music I knew WoW would be the game for me, And here I'am 18 and still playing it /o\
when i first came into stormwind, and i saw the people there, the music played, the mighty statues of the awesome heros, the textures, i wasn't able to do anything, just watch with a widely opened mouth to that creation, i'm an alliance for ever, and really i came to ofrim enough times for a fair comparison between the two cities, stormwind was th perfect city u'll ever find in world of warcraft, even mor than dalarn or silvermoon :')
ahh i remember my first time here...all was so big and i couldn´t find my way around..now i just know this place as if i played all my life. thanks for posting this :D
I remember playing WoW for the first time on my Nelf. Running through the Wetlands to get to Ironforge and then to get to Stormwind. Heard this music and brix were shat.
ohh that reminds me of the old days back then when everyone including me were newbies ... my very first MMORPG there is no way in hell someone could forget this soundtrack thanks for posting it !
when i started playing WoW few years back, making a human warlock on a private server, i went to Stormwind, i heard the begining of this song, i was stoned, and got goose-bumps all over my skin, yes i might sound like a no-life, but you can't deny the fact that this music, is perfect.
i have always played horde. and i always will. though this music hitted me when i was raiding SW. it got really overwhelming and the things i did started to seem wrong. the music made the slaughter we was doing seem soo pointless and wrong, that i even returned to ogrimmar. hearing it again gives me the memories of a city, proud, big and whit many people ready to give their lifes to protect it. still i play horde, beacuse of memories that can never fit in to a youtube comment. thanks for reading!
Walking from goldshire exploring the world for the first time. To approach this music with towering statues of heroes surrounding you. Thats when you know your about to embark on your greatest adventure ever.
walking with my level 10 or so rouge gnome and a random level 20 dwarf priest runs up. he says "wanna join a group me and my friend made" it wast even a guild just a group of friends but i said yes. That dwarfs name was hummer i met him in 2004 and me and him are still the best of friends to this day and we dont even know what each others voices sound like or what our faces look like. Despite this i am now 27 and we will meet soon. He is such a good friend that I plan to ask him to be the best man at my wedding. It is truly beautiful what this amazing game and its world can do.
best WoW theme its best for it being nostalgic it is so strongly in tune Ill never forget the first time i stepped into SW and was new to pallies lol it was great on how one pally who looked cool inspired me to continue being a pally and it so beautiful in 4:53-5:25
I don't care what anyone else says about roleplaying... For me, roleplaying brought fantasy and magic back to a game that had degenerated into nothing but talk of gear and raiding parties and ninja-looters... This song reminds me of all that I have done, and will ever do on World of Warcraft.
God.. i miss this game..!!! i'm alredy 5 months without playing it.. but it looks more time.. like 2 years.. those memories will stay in my heart.. -FOR THE ALIANCE
Yep, some of my favorites, reminds me of the time when I started playing WoW... years ago... I love it, just like a call to arms. got the cd of WoW right here xD
FOR THE ALLIANCE!!! man i remember feeling epic walking down the streets of Stormwind with my Lvl 29 Paladin, i always felt so epic, i felt proub to be on the Allaince, good times eh guys!!?
Yea, Thrall is awesome! His actually one of the only orcs that is cool headed enough to keep his weapon down when he sees/hears about something that is offensive to him or his allies. Thrall only ever attacks when something is really threatening his peeps. Like that time when Admiral Proudmoore attacked the Horde during the creation of Orgrimmar.
oh i remember the first time i entered Stormwind City I was just grabbed by the music and the size...man i really need to earn some money and pay a visit to my friends on there soon
when I started in 2006, I rolled a night elf and when I was told to come to stormwind. I didn't know how to get there so after some explanation from my guild. I took the boat from darkshore to wetlands, then ran to IF and took the Deeprun Tram, man oh man was I blown away by Stormwinds EPICNESS.
Stormwind is THE most epic music i've ever heard on WoW tbh, i'm a hordie and i was raiding SW for the For the Horde achiev and when i heard the beginning music i was like "OH CRAP WIPE??? :O" lmao XD
@liquids1987 the first months in WoW have indeed the best. As I think about it now, months after I quit the game, the 1st time that I entered Stormwind was far better then getting 2500 rating in arena or any other achievement. This music makes me want to get back sometimes.
ich persönlich finde das into von eisenschmiede am besten. war auch die erste stadt dich ich damals mitm jäger gesehen hab und ich dachte nur "wow, das ist mal ne bombastische eingangshalle" ^^
Walking into Stormwind for the first time while playing this and seeing the massive amounts of players in the trade district was a surreal experience. Absolute peak of gaming. Infact it didn't even felt like just a game, but a world... of warcraft.
I remember walking into Stormwind, as my DK, and having everyone throw rotton fruit at me.
Good times.
+The Atomic Cherry but on the other hand... if you were alliance walking into orgrimmar... R.I.P
Excuse me, it's rotten.
I have to admit Stormwind has the most epic theme.
I have to admit, I get choked up listening to a lot of these songs. It brings me back to my first time walking into Stormwind as a level 5, not knowing what I'm doing. The I walk in and see these big statues all lined up overwhelming me. Such great times playing this game.
And then even more overwhelming when reaching the trade district and seeing the massive amounts of people there. Surreal experience.
Wish this soundtrack would play every time I walk into my house.
I think this soundtrack fits best on Friday afternoon.
Light bless you...
When i listen this music, it always feels like home..
I can't even find the words for this game ( the first 5 years )
Prob the best experience ever, till i die
1:06 is too epic for my senses to handle
Yea it always remind me since TBC
Stormwind is laughing at you. "Ha haa ha, ha haa ha!"
4:55 is magical.
I played with friends, huge guilds, small guilds and people from all around the world. So many memories, so many late nights. This music makes my blood rush, i will remember the days in Azeroth for the rest of my life.

this music makes me proud to be a member of the Alliance. Glory and Grace!
I remember hiding at SW docks, one of the abandoned ship, just hanging out and listening to this wonderful music
I'll never forget the time I saw Stormwind, my computer lagged and I ran to the store buying a new graphics card, it was worth it :)
I love this song. I just got the piano part to play on Organ but the orchestral arrangement is so much cooler. It oozes "Epic". Props to Jason Hayes for composing this piece.
Stormwind was my first city i enter, I remember how epic it was. i was so much impressed by the size of the city. Wow was and still is unique.
I got goosebumps the first time going through Stormwind. I'm sure this track has a lot to do with it.
For the Alliance :)
yea next time we destroy KaBum
For the alliance, I am human dk in 100lv
THE NOSTALGIA IS REAL ;--;
Ill never forget the first time I walked into SW years ago on that bridge, between those statues of heroes, with this msic playing... it was midday.
That music made me a WoW addict...after hearing it, all my doubts about WoW's awesomeness vanished, and 6 hours per day marathons started...
The first thing that amazed me on day one was walking into Stormwind. I found it so cool that it had so much detail such as being able to go into different shops and buy shit...later I found out what the AH was...
Walking through those gates for the first time. Oh the nostalgia.
Most nostalgic of all the music in the game imo. Those long hours running around and afking.
I remember when i first joined WoW 5 years ago, When i entered Stormwind for the first time and seing them epic statues and hearing the music I knew WoW would be the game for me, And here I'am 18 and still playing it /o\
We are playing this song in my orchestra ^^
1:20 was always my favorite part of this theme. My human pride always swelled as it started to play.
when i first came into stormwind, and i saw the people there, the music played, the mighty statues of the awesome heros, the textures, i wasn't able to do anything, just watch with a widely opened mouth to that creation, i'm an alliance for ever, and really i came to ofrim enough times for a fair comparison between the two cities, stormwind was th perfect city u'll ever find in world of warcraft, even mor than dalarn or silvermoon :')

I remember playing WoW for the first time on my Nelf. Running through the Wetlands to get to Ironforge and then to get to Stormwind. Heard this music and brix were shat.
Ah, the memories of the first time I walked over that bridge and saw those five grand statues there to greet me.
Coincidence or not, but Stormwind's and Orgrimmar's tunes express both of the factions way of life. Blizzard has created the PERFECT songs for both!!
This is actually the only alliance theme I like :P
My heart races when I enter a raid for Stormwind!
Although I am totally for the Horde and against the Alliance, this music....it's really good.
This soundtrack is incredible.
Music is what made world of warcraft so intense.
Even though I don't really play the game, I've played the demo and such. I always remember this soundtrack, lol.
best city music by so far, i actually feel bad for horde who cant listen to this while sitting at the AH for hours off end.
ohh that reminds me of the old days back then when everyone including me were newbies ... my very first MMORPG
there is no way in hell someone could forget this soundtrack
thanks for posting it !

I never got to thank Blizzard for letting me play in the most legendary game/expansion set of all times. Thank you Blizzard for making Wow and TBC :)

Walking from goldshire exploring the world for the first time. To approach this music with towering statues of heroes surrounding you. Thats when you know your about to embark on your greatest adventure ever.
The 12 people disliking this aren't Horde, they aren't Alliance, they aren't human...

I was really impressed by the opening soundtrack when I was level 78 or something like that stealthing into Stormwind for the first time on my Druid.
i stopped this game 3 year ago...i still like this soundtracks.
For the Horde! This music is Epic...and remember me the first time I did storming stormwind XD
Makes me want to play again :(
@CaptainManatee the soundtrack is outstanding. I mean i could be walking through a forest in the game and the music would fit just right.
when I started in 2006, I rolled a night elf and when I was told to come to stormwind. I didn't know how to get there so after some explanation from my guild. I took the boat from darkshore to wetlands, then ran to IF and took the Deeprun Tram, man oh man was I blown away by Stormwinds EPICNESS.
Behold the armies of Stormwind!
World of warcraft was the best game in my life!
Stormwind is THE most epic music i've ever heard on WoW tbh, i'm a hordie and i was raiding SW for the For the Horde achiev and when i heard the beginning music i was like "OH CRAP WIPE??? :O" lmao XD
This track is why I stuck with and made a Human Paladin as my main :)
I may've been horde all my life but still have to admit, Stormwind is a great city.

Walking into Stormwind for the first time while playing this and seeing the massive amounts of players in the trade district was a surreal experience. Absolute peak of gaming. Infact it didn't even felt like just a game, but a world... of warcraft.
It really fits the humans of WoW.

First time and first race (human)?
Welcome to World of Warcraft.
I learned to oversee this by just turning music off. Then I was like "Knife Goes In, Guts Come Out".
thanks i just wanted to know. :)
I remember playing WoW for the first 3 months after EU release. Good times.
You knew you were playing a magical game when you walked (not flew in on your pansy-ass flying mount) into Stormwind for the first time.
