Ashenvale - Music & Ambience (World of Warcraft Classic)

- This is World of Warcraft Vanilla. Over 14 years passed, the graphics and the sound has advanced beyond anyone's imagination but still, the enchanted forests of Anshenvale are fascinating the WoW players. The 1 hour of music & ambience is not much to present the zone like I wanted to. That's why, I have also included 2 hours of ambience separately: 1 hour of day ambience and 1 hour of night ambience.
Ashenvale, also known as Ashenvale Forest, is a wilderness region south of Darkshore and Felwood, west of Azshara, and north of the Stonetalon Mountains and the Barrens. Ashenvale is also the term used for the larger forested region which includes most of western Hyjal including Azshara. It is the ancestral homeland of the night elves, who remain in control of several holdings through the zone, including Astranaar, Maestra's Post, Silverwind Refuge, Silverwing Grove, and the Shrine of Aessina.
The Horde has established a settlement in the eastern part of the woods - Splintertree Post - as well as a smaller camp on the western beach - Zoram'gar Outpost - along with several Warsong camps situated from Kargathia Keep all through the southeast to the Mor'shan Rampart in the far south.
The demons of the Burning Legion have holdings in Fire Scar Shrine, Felfire Hill, Demon Fall Canyon and Demon Fall Ridge. The vile satyr inhabit ancient elven ruins at Xavian, Night Run, and Satyrnaar. The vicious worgen have taken over an ancient shrine near Felwood, cursed green dragonkin have slipped out from the Emerald Dream portal at Bough Shadow, and corruption taints the once-clear waters of Iris Lake and the Ruins of Stardust. The Horde have seized control of several holdings in the eastern parts of the forest, and beyond their base at Splintertree Post, they have harvested the trees for lumber at the Warsong Lumber Camp and the Warsong Labor Camp. The Horde clash with the Night Elves over control of Eastern Ashenvale, with the Warsong Outriders vowing to continue their lumber harvesting operations, and the Silverwing Sentinels vowing to drive the Outriders from their lands once and for all.
The music is always marked at the beginning of each track.
Enchanted Forest, Angelic and Magic themes are composed by Jason Hayes.

Meisio my favourite flavour!
I though Vanilla is better. But I'll take it! :)
Thank you. You make me blush :)
Kind regards,
Meisio
It puts your name in automatically when I reply on youtube app. I meant vanilla is my favourite flavour! Sorry for miscommunication haha
Hahaha... now I blushed even more :-|
Love listeneing to it, hated classic.
I remember skipping school some days just to stay playing WoW during high school. I lost my mom during that time and WoW helped me so much coping with it. Sometimes I have to hold back tears when re-listening to Classic WoW music.
Sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing well now 🙏
I remember when I got home from school to play wow the landscape filled my eyes
That's some real shit. I relate because WoW music is very precious to me.
Yeah my First wow Patch i Play Tauren Warrior ITS amazing days ))
I could cry just by listening to this heavenly sounds and music, remembering my first night elf character (in 2006) who started in Teldrassil, mesmerized by the beauty of the nature, making my way to Ashenvale after training in Darnassus and discovering the beautiful beach and creatures. Not knowing where I'm headed next. How I want to relive those moments of pure tranquility and happiness. It was not a game, it was a beautiful journey 😭
I'm there with you and it makes me happy that many of us shared this indescribable experience... Feels good not to be alone in it. Just listening to this music makes me feel 18 years younger.... I know I can't reproduce this, even with classic... I wish I could go back and relive those simpler times...
it feels like, i lived in this world few years with my friends. noone would understand it, who not played it.
Why does nostalgia feel like a knife in the soul? Simpler times.
Nicely said. Simple too :-)
People were more friendly and helpful those days.
@@infinitejustice86 turns out most(?) were just pretending
But there are still good ppl who simply care, and aren't judgemental and predictably stupid/selfish. I think... and hope.
been looking for someone to put it this way
Because you’ve chosen a path that makes you less happy over time.
Ashenvale and Nagrand are unmatched.
Probably my favourite World of Warcraft zone, music wise. For some reason it's just otherworldly.
I think one of my favorite as well (probably Teldrassil is the first), but if you look through my comments I like a lot of zones. I just love WoW. :)
I also love the the melancholic Darkshore tune. It brings up a lot of great memories, doing crafting in Auberdine while waiting for my friend to login.
Favorite zone but don't go in it on a pvp server.
I remember the very first time I stumbled onto this game. I walked into a gaming cafe some time during the fall of 2005 and the owner was playing this game. He was in this zone with his Orc warlock snooping around the buildings with his eye of kilrogg , I knew instantly I was hooked. I think it was that or the the next day I went out and bought a gaming computer and the game , I played hard for almost 10yrs.
When I entered Ashenvale forest, coming from those dried, dusty Orc barrens, I was enchanted. Then a nasty bear or wtf was it, mauled me to death.
Hahaha xD It was magical!
That's why you don't visit Night Elf lands as a hordie :)
😂 great!
LOL
Every time you post vanilla, I turn 12 year old again. I must be immortal by now...
Like the Night Elves :)
❤️
Meisio
They listen to music like this...No wonder they have been there for an eternity xD
I turn 16 :) Back to Grade 9 fresh first year at Highschool .. all my friends talked to me about this game till I got it at Future Shop finally. Memories...
Who wants to live forever?
@@sarttee People listening to vanilla ost.
No many how many alts I make, Horde or Alliance. I always quest through Ashenvale. The music, the ambience is just so perfect and when the singing starts it always sends chills through my body&soul. It reminds me of when I first started playing World of Warcraft, discovering all that it had back in 2006. It gives a sense of magic and wonder that WOW has seem to lost over the years. If I die, please hold my funeral here in my honor, on the server Bloodhoof.
Loved Ashenvale, players getting together to launch a counter gank squad against the horde who were a similar level was peak WoW. Miss those days.
triggering world defence notice by attacking horde npc's in ashenvale, to try to have horde come raid the town.
which in result would lead to a counter raid by elf players, and attacks on xroads and such.
good old times
I remember when in 2009 I first went beyond the ashenval and I met a spider. I was scared like a child. Forever in the memory 🏞🏞
Thanks to Meisio for 2 things: first, bringing back those memories of a peaceful, stressless life, when everything seemed so easy and we could spend days or nights in the game without remorse of fear of consequences. That music really was an ear-catcher. And second, keeping it alive by producing those beautiful vanilla soundtracks, with so much delicate attention for our memories and this sensation of cosiness, so that we can now listen to it working on complicate stuff that requires lots of focus and concentration. I've been listening to selected Meisio vanilla soundtracks for a several weeks now when writing or creating, and it does it every time: no matter how upset with my work I might be, the familiar soundtracks always soothe me, even if I stopped playing more than 10 years ago. I even told an hyperactive friend - who is too young to know about WoW - to try it, and it calms her too quite efficiently. I also sometimes play it very low as background, when I get to advise certain very anxious clients (I'm a tax advisor). No one has noticed the background yet, but the meetings go well and in a calm atmosphere. Thank you, Meisio. /bow

Right there with ya man. I remember when this came out. I was a warrior, getting my ass kicked, but lovin every moment of it. Simpler times indeed friend. Stopped playing years ago but the memories will always linger.
@@xragegaming8165 I was a Tauren Druid and got my ass kicked more than necessary! /laugh
Hail hail to simpler times, and to times when warriors only died on WoW battlefields.
Have a nice day warrior friend, and may times get simpler in the future
i stood for hours just in the "shadows" as a nightelf to listen to this music and patroling the Woods on an RP/PvP Server...what a great Time..great Game...amd evem greater Community !!
I spent so much time on Nostalrius, Elysium, and Light’s Hope ganking hordies with friends I met along the way. So weird how I’m now nostalgic for servers that were built on the fact people had nostalgia for vanilla WoW. Blizzard Classic was never the same for me.
First char I really leveled was a night elf hunter. But after I reached darkshore I took the boat and headed to stormwind. I heard that the human zones were more popular and funner and leveled up through westfall and duskwood.
It was fun, don't get me wrong, but I never went through the nightelf zones of darkshore and on into ashenvale. Listening to this makes me regret it. Westfall and duskwood are fun, but these mystical forests are something I know I could have gotten lost and immersed in for days and days.
I quit wow in 2013 after playing for seven years, but maybe this summer I'll reactivate my account and play classic, roll a nightelf and play through ashenvale to experience it for the first time.
Frank Ralph the most wise words of a real veteran player.
this right here... did the same exact thing..this time I want to go through ashenvale desolace and feralas all NE zones I neglected in the past
Lol thats exactly what im doing now as a druid, back in the day i did the same thing and now i have a character in classic almost in ashenvale im stoked
Wow dude we almost share the exact same experience; first char ever NE Hunter, leveling in Westfall, 7-ish years of playing.
My only difference is I traveled thru the dreaded Wetlands around lvl 10? (whatever level you get to Darkshore), died many, many times to those gators and took the tram from Ironforge to Stormwind. xD
It's funny you said human zones are more popular, because I honestly forgot why I skipped the Nightelf zones considering how much I adore them now.
Goldshire was a lovely place to hang out.
4 years have passed since the mortal races banded together to defeat the Burning Legion...
Never change, Maiev.
still remember the quality of cgi on that dwarf ears
The Nightelves ruins look like the place I regularly visited as a Pandaren tailor almost a decade ago to obtain a certain material, or essence... in that beautiful marble-like sculptured and scintillating pool, to make Mooncloth Bags, which were great sellers... 📈 ... in the Mal'Ganis realm
I wonder, who was the musical genius that Blizzard hired to create these masterpieces ?
His name is Jason Hayes. Check out the video description for details like that on all my videos. Thank you for watching :-)
Thanks !
True top tier original modern classical paired with sweet vanilla mm mm.. also thx meisio ! 💕
My first character ever was a gnome mage. My second was a night elf warrior which became my main. I love the night elf music and most of the low level zone music I'll purposely do things in all of them just to enjoy the music
Walking into Ashenvale for the first time made me fall in love with WoW. The first 20 levels as a Tauren was nothing but the Mulgore plainlands, and then you go into the barren wasteland of the Barrens, then as soon as you run into Ashenvale, everything changes into this mystical forest with new creatures, ambience, and enchanting music. It felt like being transported into this new realm of magic and mystery. I have never had a similar experience in any other MMORPG since then.
Haha awesome, but I liked Tauren+Orc+Troll zones too
Mine was Everquest then Wow❤ Both glorious in their own rights.
It's similar to how I felt in Xenoblade Chronicles when I walked into Satorl Marsh for the first time at night. It was incredible, and Ashenvale feels close to that feeling
This music is Wow for me, it fills me with such nostalgia...
This music + old zones = ♥️ :-)
I'm not crying, you are! :(
This is zone of Night Elves!!!
ahhh the nostalgia hits hard :'(
Indeed. Soon Diana! Soon we are back.
this music..... hit so hard, agreed...
Diana Leah I know right?
I almost always played Horde, but the few NE I created keep this hitting the heartstrings hard. Always loved this zone’s music.
There will never be another game loke this.
Wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time. Played with people I knew IRL who have passed. My Loreli was an excellent NE shadow priest. She's been gone 6 years but this brings part of her back for me. Thanks so much!
😢
I think about this a lot. Even the idea of ppl who have just quit forever makes me sad, let alone those who didn't get to make that decision...
@@hawkstrike18 The World of Earthcraft has its many ways of prohibiting time in the World of Warcraft as the years go on. Nothing ever replaced the social hole in my heart that classic WoW had.
This is the only type of Wow music I can listen on repeat without getting tired of it.
every toon i ever leveled and believe me its alot i bring to ashenvale, love the music
Vanilla WoW.. so pure and clean, when Blizzard was not yet corrupted by corporate demons.
The Barrens and Ashenvale, my two favorite zones for the music! Thank you, Meisio!
/bow
Driving music now! Old memories and friends :( I wonder what they are up to now? I played in vanilla. They were a good set of folks.. "salute"
I picked up WoW Classic once TBC dropped, and upon reaching level 20 and finally leaving Azuremyst, I was sort of wandering around Darkshore aimlessly and in an attempt to escape some mobs that were chasing me around some hills, I quite literally stumbled into Ashenvale. This zone has got to have the best exploration out of any location I've seen so far, purely because the music really drives home how enchanted these forests are.
Edit: i reached 60 and am leveling other characters, Ashenvale still has the best music tbh lol
this is how i remember wow when i started palying in 2005,a dream...no need to lvl super fast, just enjoy the game...a incredible world to wander trough.
How has this changed, today it's about getting from lvl 50 to 60 (shadowlands) within 5 hours ....these people do NOT enjoy the game as it is designed,to explore, wander around, just feel happy to watch and enjoy what blizz has done...
I was one of them expansions later to feel the need to...i have to this and that super fast or i will be left behind....chill people....you do NOT have to do anny of that, just relax and enjoy and you will have a great time.
Well,i'm waiting for the next developer to release a wow game(sort off)that will have us glued to the screen ,i'm 56 right now...i hope i will see it before i die....
well esport and streamer crap doesn't help either my friend.. everything is about rushing now , pathetic
Vanilla was designed to enjoy the world
Now it's designed to pay for loot boxes
Thank you so much for posting this. I used to explore and piss around in this zone with my friend when I was 16. I've lost contact of him now and this just brings me back memories chilling around Auberdine. The present altered and destroyed zone isn't the same anymore.
Same here. I used to play when I was in my early 20s with my best friend. He's most of the time gone, but from time to time (once a year) I have the chance to sit down with him and remember our youth. Good times...
One of my favorite level 20-30 zones to quest through to be honest
I love the Elven zone atmosphere and music. Thank you for these videos :)
You are welcome. I'll probably remake more Elven videos and also, I will create another Darkshore video (this time without rain ambience). Also, Darkshore gameplay coming soon I hope.
gosh I love ashenvale and it's music
I sleep to this music all the time and I always have a reoccurring dream when I use to be in Ashenvale camping Allis on my 39 twink rogue xD such great times. What I'd give to live in that world :(
Alot of ganking there, i loved it.
I miss Ashenvale ambience 😞
keep finding myself coming back to listen more lol. older wow music was quite magical.
Music + Ambience + Our memories = Magic :)
Hi Dahun!
Yeah, perhaps it's just nostalgia. But the updated music for these realms does not capture that same magical ambience that the vanilla music does. Like everything else about the updated game, it seems like they're trying to make it more epic. More explosions!!!!
True, I have this feeling also when I hear the action music and see the explosions in the newer in-game cinematics. Don't think it's suitable for wow, but I am also getting too old for this stuff...
Going from eastern kingdoms to kalimdor was an experience… ashenvale set the tone. Well for a human at least, darkshore was alright but the walk through the forest seemed expansive, mystical… definitely an experience.
Ashenvalle was one of my favorites
unmatched ambiance
in my mind i am back to the glory days of the best game ever. WOW VANILLA
Omg just a little over a month and I will relive this experience again !!!!
10 days man, and we' re boys again!
This and Darkshore. The nostalgia of these pieces and the specific memories they trigger in me put me in quite the trance when I try to visualize the stories I write. I thank you, again :)
Thanks for this awesome video ambiant music. It's so relaxing ! See you in Azeroth ! :D
Retail is soulless now, wish they would make a WoW 2 with vanilla vibe
I was thinking maybe there is 4k ashenvale music from vanilla wow and here it is. Brilliant!
Haha, nice to meet you then :)
I have many more like this. And if not, I will probably remake (in this style) all of them.
Have a nice weekend

Memories of Vanilla. Beautiful and enchanted forest but so dangerous for my little Tauren.
Never thought I'd say the words "little" and "Tauren" together lol

I would love if this also had rain ambience!
Miss you old friend... for the Alliance!
Beautiful
started Nov 2004 with a NE not knowing a thing beyond being on a PVP server. I was terrified completing quests here not knowing if the horde was around the corner.Got ganked and ganked others. a magical time in my life.
Ashenvale was so buteaful, so charmig !
Yes. The current version is just a bad remake. Like all Cataclysm zones (except the newly introduced zones).
It's still IS. On the private vanilla servers :)
i will back "play" again WoW just to travel in this beautiful world, with these magnificent music in the background 😍😍😍😍😍
Thx a lot for posting this :)
My pleasure :)
I hope you check out my other videos, I have quite a lot of this genre.
Kind regards,
Meisio
Absolutely amazing music from ashenvale, i can listen to it all day long!
I wanna cry 😢
I'm a new-ish player, but night elves are the main reason I play. I finally unsubscribed the other day when I took my druid back to Dolanaar, explored the forests, and felt really sad over how Blizzard has treated night elven territories and the people. I have a bad feeling about Tyrande's fate in the Shadowlands after playing through some of my Ardenweald covenant storyline and I just don't like it. I don't have to like it. But your videos remind me of everything I love about night elves, and it warms my heart. Thank you
Ditto
ive always been more of a farmer in the game ,so this appeals to me a lot, cheers
You are welcome and thank you for your visit :)
If you have other ideas or requests, I am happy to listen.
Kind regards,
Meisio
Did you hear about the guy who reached max level with only doing herbalism?? Now that's dedication.
There are several weird ways players leveled up in Wow. Besides the guy with herbalism, there was a guy leveling up a pandaren with mining without choosing a faction, another one killing just boars or another one without killing any creature :-D
I used to live there
Magical!!
This is a world you would want to live in ❤
The shore with respawn chests, yes. Most MMORPG's u can walk ride, but only WoW u can swim and loot and do some quests or something like that
I haven't played many MMORGs but I trust you :-)
Thank you for watching.
Here we go!!!
I want to play world of warcraft again, but i haven't time to play and its so painful for me.thanks for this nostalgia after 10 years.
Heaven
Damn, you're getting really good at it. Vanilla was legit a nice game graphics-wise, and it plays no small role in its longevity and replayability imo.
Although it is still far away, it is starting to dawn upon me that the choice of my main class/race for Classic is going to be a tough one, as there is much I am keen to go through again. Like Ashenvale, for instance. It was always a pretty dangerous place for sure, but I would expect a special kind of savagery at the next release, when hundreds of players are gonna collide in there at the same time again. Quests are gonna require tag teams to be safe, Blackfathom Deeps and Warsong Gulch entrances will be dangerous cutthroats.
Speaking of which - do you plan to do BGs? Or is it not possible to get there in solo?
Thank you ❤️
Doing my best and I don't compromise when it comes to execution. Even if it takes me 4 days to do it and in the end I will have maximum 200 views. Any feedback from you guys which can lead to better quality is highly appreciated.
I can't enter solo. But I need to improvise I guess. I can log to another computer to create anther player. What do you have in mind?
Regards,
Meisio
Great Music put into sad loops ):
It's too beautiful for our species around the year 2000. I'm not surprised we haven't maintained this universe, I'm not surprised it died almost immediately.
Best thing to happen to me on this Friday.
Haha! You are far too kind like always :D
Salutations,

LOVE the dungeon videos btw!
Good! :D
Because _Maraudon_ incoming next :)
Narox - Stormreaver!
One day, we will have the Warcraft universe reborn in VR. We will see it ❤️
man i miss that zone since cata its so much worse............
I totally agree...
It's a shame that real life doesn't come with music like this. I've been away from WoW for a few years now and plan to get back into it again some time soon.
I once lived in a neighborhood where Latino immigrants lived. the streets were filled with music.
It was the best experience of my life, 1000x better than WoW.
Studying to this right now 📖 🤓
This is the evidence why music is the most important part of a very good computergame... and blizzard north know it
Wtf, i hear this music almost everywhere
Who is coming back for Season of Mastery? :)
I'll come at least to level casually
