Your story is amazingly appropriate. The entire album is a concept of confronting death, this song is all about legacy and memory and how even when we're gone we live on in the memories of those we've cherished in life. Your father's lucky to have you as his legacy, and he will always be here as long as there are those that remember him.

I think what really makes these collaborations impressive is the fact that you guys aren’t in the same place recording everything. I’ve always wondered how you guys assign parts for the vocals. It has to be somewhat difficult all being in different places, but the effort you put in each and every time is appreciated. This cover turned out to be awesome, and it’s probably my favorite cover of Black Parade.
Thanks for all the hard work you guys put in to do this, I’ll have to check out the full album cover.
As the producer (Brad) I must commend Addie for assembling vocal parts for the 3 girls. She has really become quite good at knowing how to divy up the vocals, harmonies with multiple vocalists. She usually will record everything vocally, then send them to the girls based off strengths as a team rather than strengths as an individual singer. With 3 singers it's about making the best sounding entourage. Even if that means sometimes one girl may be better suited for a solo part... So we try to think what works best singing together.
Luckily it's not rocket science... Violet slays the lows, Lauren has the mids, and Addie the is the bright top end. You'd be surprised though sometimes the girls do switch parts up. When I'm mixing them all singing unison, they start to sound like 1 big voice and it's hard to tell who is who at times. It's really awesome.
Lastly, once in a blue moon I layer in Laurens screams with some of mine. They're totally different styles but make awesome layers. These MCR songs were all Lauren tho.

yo, they def help make me step back and be "reasonable" when I'm effing fed up with everything. In general, for me they're (I initially wrote "their" [sicut]) better than lithium for manic-depression type behavior.

This is an absolute masterpiece. This has to be the greatest cover of all time. The harmonies were amazing, the drums and guitars were spot on, Lauren's screams were sick and million other things I could literally spend hours talking about.

I lost one of my closest friends to suicide a few years ago. I was asked to play an acoustic cover of this for his funeral. I couldn't will myself through it. This cover has me full on ugly crying in my driveway. Thank all of you for such an amazing cover of this. This is the version I wish I could have given to his memory. Miss you, Brandon.

I was never a My Chemical Romance fan growing up. I was already older than most of their fan base by the time they broke big and honestly my preferred genre was European style symphonic heavy metal. (Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Rhapsody of Fire, Kamelot, Startovarius, etc.) I first heard this song when Johnathan Young covered it several years ago with Caleb Hyles, and was instantly hooked by the melodies, the jams, and the energy. Now, years later, since my own father has recently joined the Black Parade on February 20, 2021, your AMAZING version just hits the heart so much harder. I literally burst into tears listening to it and it was such a beautiful, painful, and HEALING experience that I can barely find the proper words to express the emotions that were released. DON'T EVER STOP MAKING MUSIC!
