Holy man. This is one of the hardest songs I ever had to learn on drums. And to see gunil just absolutely nail it and have fun with it is amazing. Just absolutely amazing on all parts for everyone.
I've never heard any songs by this group before, but as a MCR stan for 15 years... I had to click on this. And I was so surprised by how well they did it! Usually covers of welcome to the black parade are not that great, because it's such a difficult song for just one singer to sing from start to finish without losing steam. But since they switched the singer who does the lead parts, they managed to remain sounding really solid through-out.
I’m a HUGE MCR stan. I love them so much. This was one of the best covers I’ve ever heard. When they all sang-omg. It felt so authentic.

Xdinary Heroes aren’t exactly Kpop, they’re classed as k-rock but they are still involved in the Kpop industry (if that makes sense 😅). If you want to listen to more of them I recommend their songs Strawberry Cake, Freakin’ Bad, Haircut, Happy Death Day, Good Enough :)

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE NEEDS TO SEE THIS!!! I Always thought that this song was impossible to cover and do justice to the original... But Xdinary heroes definetly did it amazingly and they 100% understood the assignment. 10/10 vocals, performance and passion.

For every emo kid arriving here not knowing about kpop/XH: Korean crowds at this type of event (a fan meeting concert) are not as loud as the typical concert crowd we're used to. Also, even if not super loud, they're louder than this video shows, because this is the official record and they silenced the audio from the public (on a fan-recorded you can hear them, but yeah, why aren't they louder is a mystery). Also, they're from the 97 to 2004, so I'm half sure most of their fans didn't know the song. They do because they're emo kids, mostly their drummer and the guitars. Btw, they are Xdinary Heroes, they're a band between kpop and krock because they're from a famous label and they promote as idols, but their music is mostly light punk-rock pop. They're amazing, super talented and have more covers from the emo era (like BMTH and NBT).

As a drummer, watching Gunil play this song really makes me happy and he kills it! What a king
OMG I"M LITERALLY KICKING, SCREAMING, CRYING. I LOVE MCR EVERY EMO KID (INCLUDING MYSELF) KNOWS HOW ICONIC THIS SONG IS, IT'S LITERALLY LIKE OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM. This popped up in my recommended and I was afraid to watch it but it wouldn’t go away, so I was like, “well I’ll just listen to a bit” it’s such an iconic song that the thought of anyone else performing it was unsettling BUT….. they made me cry. I don’t know why I was just listening to this song the other day, but I had a few tears in my eyes, and I sang right along. It was sooooo well done. They kept the spirit of the song. They made it theirs without changing it too much and their pronounciation was so good there were parts I didn’t know the words to but know I do becuase they spoke it so clearly. Their fans and them have so much to be proud of. My only regret is that I waited so long to watch it!! I think even MCR would be proud of this cover it’s so well done

@@user-fs2bw5gg3q it’s also refreshing in the Kpop world because there really aren’t a ton of groups with this kind of sound, so in a genre where it can be very hard for groups to stand out I do hope they do more of this kind of music moving forwards even if it’s just more comfort. I feel like they could slay Tragedy + Time by Rise Against or maybe something by All Time low. They obviously have the talent and whether it’s covers or their own future album the Kpop world needs more of this

I just stumbled upon this. This is my daughter's music era, so I heard a lot of this type of music daily...This band did an incredibly well with this, particularly due to fact that English is not their first language (I am guessing for some of them.) This is just WOW!

I guess the reason XH songs couldn't hit bigger is because they're under JYPE. The majority of JYPE fans are unfamiliar with this genre, so naturally, only a small percentage of JYPE audiences are familiar with and enjoy this genre.
On the other side, I was also immediately introduced XH to my big brother who grew up with this genre, but he said, "But they are under JYPE. Pursuing this genre while promoting it in a KPOP way and to KPOP audiences is kind of not fitting."
I kind of agree and think that JYPE needs to find a better strategy to market XH to the correct audiences.

You seem to forget that korean entertainment company , especially big ones , have a diversified catalog of artist, even including some NOT in the music field .

@@gemin.r.j Sure, MCR has said they do not consider themselves emo. That has zero effect on the statement OP made, though. Xdinary Heroes does hit that demographic. Plus, to deny the impact MCR had on the emo genre is stupid. You'll find them on just about every emo playlist out there. Whether or not they consider themselves emo, they still are a staple of the genre. And people do and will always associate them with it. 🤷🏻♀️

im so glad i stumbled on a clip of one of the members and it led me to a rabbit hole of listening to all their albums in one sitting. They really are a hidden gem and they just might be my new favorite group!!! UGh im so sad i didnt find them earlier

The cover I never knew I needed but will forever appreciate and listen to over and over, as I am an old MCR fan who made the shift to K-pop over the years. This was one of the best covers of Black Parade I think I've ever heard that wasn't MCR themselves. I swear every cover they do is gold.❤
