Что привнесли?
Качественную аранжировку. Рок-потенциал у песни из-за её ритма и динамики реально офигенный (как и у Нас не догонят), чем ребята и воспользовались. Не нужно быть музыкантом, чтобы услышать, насколько насыщеннее и агрессивнее стало звучание в кавере. В куплетах остинантные синтезаторы из оригинала заменили более проработанными басовыми риффами. Усложнили проигрыш, обрывая и ломая ритм. Опять же, вместо синтезаторных фраз - соло электро-гитары. Припев к оригиналу действительно звучит практически идентично, но это скорее плюс, чем минус - это самая узнавая и качовая часть, да и в оригинале она прописана так, что просто было достаточно в кавере чуть вывести на передний план агрессивные ударные и гитару, что, собственно, ребята и сделали.
Что ещё нового? Повторюсь: шикарный вокал: множество нюансов, типа многоголосия или вокализации, охеренного грудного регистра (на 2:56 особенно мурашки пошли). Когда поёшь кавер, у тебя есть два варианта: скопировать чужую манеру или же петь в своей. Девушки спели в своём стиле.
Всё же есть большая разница между "девчачьими" голосами оригинала (и это не плохо, это часть их образа, за который мы и полюбили) и тем, что можно услышать в кавере - более насыщенные красками полнозвучные тембры. Вот если бы мы взяли отдельно голоса из кавера и наложили на минус оригинала - там бы уже было не то, было бы слишком грубо. А тут у них достаточно "мяса" в голосе, чтобы быть на равных с таким инструменталом.
Ну а главное достоинство кавера - они не потеряли качовость оригинала, а только усилили его. И вообще, здесь огромнейшая кропотливая работа, которую вот так брать и обесценивать - ну просто как-то... не надо так((

Кавер - это новое прочтение материала, которое не обязательно должно полностью повторять оригинал, и не обязательно должно кардинально отличаться. Тысячи хитов сегодня являются каверами никому не известных треков, о которых мир не узнал бы, не спой их как-то по-своему какой-нибудь певец. Что касается конкретно этой песни, а чем плох этот кавер? Спели девчонки отлично, изменили атаку, парни сыграли по-своему некоторые места. Если вас не цепляет песня и не цепляет ее кавер, ну бывает. Но зачем набрасываться на творчество ребят? Попробуйте сделать свой кавер сперва)

It's great to hear this song covered by two very talented singers. You even matched up the hair colors correctly with Violet taking Julia's part and the Halocene singer taking Lena's. While the latter's range was a good match for Lena's, Violet has a much deeper range than Julia, which gave this song a different feel than usual.

That was such an interesting band...
Being a teenager when hearing these russian the first time was nice... There is a lot of stuff surrounding them, but the music they made was actually decent, even more so if you turn on the radio in 2021, that is just painful.
Their music was so unique I loved them so much I even started to learn the lyrics of the original russian versions of the songs. And I just didn't care about all the other stuff .
I listened to them back when I was maybe 10, watching anime music videos and a whole slew of those things. t.A.T.u is such a unique band and has forever changed how I see music. I am always trying to find new things, but nothing compares to how it felt when I found t.A.T.u.
