I am one of the biggest fans of Halocene and these collabs they do. They are nothing short of amazing. But no, you would be doing a disservice to Journey by not acknowledging this was their masterpiece. This is a wonderful anthem to end the crappy year that is 2020 and Halocene paid their respects to the original.

The twinkle effect on Cole Rolland's teeth at 1:57 was priceless. I don't see too many comments commending you on the outstanding job that you did as well.
When Addie mentions she sang that song hundreds of times at weddings, i remember an instagram post not long before lockdowns hit where they were playing it with a bunch of very happy people. We'll get back to that very soon!
We actually quit our corporate cover band since the pandemic started. Not that it wasn't fun, but Halocene took off so much that we decided to focus completely on that. Which makes this all the more emotional!
One of the best studio bands I've ever heard. So well rounded and still has that magic touch that technique alone can't quantify.

This is probably one of my most favorite things I've heard all year, absolutely worth staying up this late to catch this glimpse of!! The combination of all of the talent in this video is mind blowing. From the amazing vocals of Addie, Violet, Audra and Lauren (and her amazing screams too!) to the musicianship combo of Brad, Joe and Cole. This will be a favorite of mine for a long time to come!! i have listened to this song 3 times in a row and i am blown away by the talent these ladies have.the musicians are amazing,whoever edited this did one hell of a job.collaborations like this are what make already iconic songs even more iconic and is a feast to my ears for sure.thank you all for making this amazing cover and keep them coming.
When I heard the individual vocals, my first thought was: "how will those ever mix well together". To my sincere surprise .. boy was I wrong! (and I love it). Not a single bad word from me, about any of the vocalists. They each have a unique voice and sound great (and so did the other artists) .. but that voice of Lauren Babic .. DAMN!!! That lady has a voice! In over 4 decades, I've witness my share of great vocals, but not that many like her's. All in all: what a wonderful collaboration .. and I am very grateful for it popping up on my today's watch list.

I've seen so much over-production in the world of art as a whole: I've seen photographs processed to an extent where the soul of the image was lost forever. I've seen videos where the post-production was taken so far that only the veneer of the original concept remains. I've heard covers and collaborations that distance themselves so far from the essence of the song being covered, that one is left to just shake their head. THIS...THIS was the most moving, compelling, soul-filling, piece of ***ART*** that i've seen in over 20 years of critiquing, creating, and consulting. There was never a moment where the original song's essence was lost. Rather, in its stead, a new generation's sincerest tip of the cap, a showcase of exceptional skill from every member who participated. If in 100 years the Rock and Roll museum doesn't showcase Journey's most famous song, with your rendition alongside it, it would be a tragedy. I cannot adequately convey what I'm feeling at this moment. I cannot recall a moment in my life where I've been moved by music in this way.

As a musician I’m clearly watching this from a different view. I’m absolutely blown away and couldn’t think of one thing to improve. The whole song was this incredible build-up of emotion, even though it's a song I've heard and belted out my entire life. Your various vocal styles interleave into the last 10 seconds, and from 4:46 to 4:56 is just harmonic perfection. I can distinctly hear all four women in their own styles and emotion. Out came the tears of joy, as happens when it's the first time you hear something that you know you'll want to play over and over again for years to come.
My god, lauren´s voice is like a locomotive wrecking out everything! AMAZING!

The little one, about 11, was mesmerising- she and the others just picked up the song and rocked along with it, with their brooms and rakes. They became a part of the song. Singing into the broom handles. Gliding around each other and the stable room... small blonde rock angels. They nailed it. They NAILED it. Forgive me, but that same energy for me is here in this video. It hasn't been cleaned out of the music or the singing... the message of whirling around that
stable in riding pants and riding boots, pounding the floor with their heels, eyes closed, unaware of anything except belting out that song with all the right beats and breaths.
We were all young kids in a stable once, concentrating so hard on the perfection of letting go and pouring it out like Lauren and the girls, controlled but galloping hard.

I thought this was gonna be another karaoke collab but the guitars, distinct harmonies, Babic's metal scream around 3 minutes, and the sheer musicality really came through to me on this one. Well done.
