My theory for the second game:
It’s about a firefighter who is dealing with grief and trauma of not being able to save people from the burning warehouse near Pyro Street. The serial killer on the newspaper is him thinking that he is a murderer himself. He is experiencing a hallucination, you can tell because he refused to take the pills. The charred bodies are the victims of the fire, showing up in his mind.

I think he’s stuck in limbo in the second game, living with his sins. He’s the axe murderer, and the one who started the fire, hence why the room burns and he goes with it, hence why there’s three shadows for the fire and 1 for the axe victim.
(edit): And the sirens are for the police and firemen coming to stop, or try to catch him in the act. It's always dark outside to torment him that he'll never wake up, and the notes are the spirits talking about ho they won't stop haunting him, forcing him in this loop, maybe forever. Ah yes, the nostalgia: Markiplier playing horror games back in the day. Can't go wrong with it. I Remember back when I was younger. I used to bench watch his horror let's plays. I've always loved his commentary, the way he copes with the scares, appreciates the atmospheric effects of the game, as well as those faces that he makes every time he acts like a wuss when playing the games. I loved that and still do to this day. I'll be honest I did stop watching Mark's content but not due to the production value of the videos, rather because I wanted to branch out. Now I'm back and am ready to wash myself in that nostalgia! C'mon Mark, do what you do best.
